SSC Full Form - The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is one of India's most popular competitive exam conducting authorities. SSC conducts a lot of exams like CGL, CHSL, MTS, Selection Post, Constable (GD), JE etc. All these exams by SSC suit the eligibility criteria of candidates right from class 10 to graduation. If numbers are to be taken into consideration close to 2-3 crore candidates appear collaboratively for various SSC exams.
SSC stands for Staff Selection Commission (SSC), the CGL stands for Combined Graduate Level exam, CHSL stands for Combined Higher Secondary Level, MTS stands for Multi Tasking Staff, while the JE stands for Junior Engineer.
Candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria of SSC CGL can apply for the exam. As per the age limit, the minimum age to apply for CGL is 18 years while the maximum age is 32 years. The academic qualification to apply for CGL is graduation.

To appear in the MTS exam, candidates must be between 18 to 25 years of age as per the eligibility criteria of MTS along with this, they must also have completed the 10th standard exam. MTS is one of India's most popular exams, as a lot of candidates apply for it as the required eligibility criteria is very less.
The Constable (GD) exam is conducted to recruit candidates for Constable posts in various armed forces under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). Some of the forces are Delhi Police, Central Armed Police Forces, Indian Tibet Police Force etc. As per the required age limit under the Constable GD eligibility criteria, candidates must have passed the matriculation of a recognised Board/University to fill the SSC Constable GD exam. The age limit of candidates must be between 18 to 23 years of age.
In order to apply for the SSC Selection Post exam, candidates need to have a 10+2 or graduation degree and their age should be between 18 to 32 years. In the SSC Selection Post exam, there is also upper age relaxation for candidates who belong to reserved categories.
Candidates who are planning to appear for the SSC Junior Engineer must have a bachelors in engineering from streams such as Electrical, Civil and Mechanical. The upper age limit to apply for the SSC JE 2023 exam is 32 years, there is also upper age relaxation given to reserved category candidates under the eligibility criteria of SSC JE.
As per the SSC CGL exam pattern, there are 4 stages in the exam. The questions in the CGL exam are based on subjects such as General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, General Intelligence and Reasoning, English Language, General Studies (Finance & Economics), Statistics etc. The subjects are as per the post chosen by the candidate. The SSC CGL exam is conducted in online as well as offline modes depending upon the stages.
According to the exam pattern of SSC CHSL is conducted in three stages. The tier 1 is conducted in online mode, while the tier 2 is conducted in descriptive mode and the tier 3 is the skill test conducted in offline mode. The subjects on which the CHSL question papers are based are - English Language, General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness.
The SSC MTS exam pattern 2023 comprises the details like topics included in the exam, marking scheme, exam duration, etc. Candidates planning to prepare for the MTS exam must know that the MTS exam consists of two papers - paper 1 and paper 2. The paper 1 consists of objective type questions while paper 2 is descriptive in nature.
As per the exam pattern of SSC (GD) Constable, the exam has 3 stages and the first stage is conducted computer-based online. The stage 2 is the Physical Efficiency Test, while stage 3 is the Physical Standard Test followed by stage 4 which is the Detailed Medical Examination. The questions asked in the exam are from General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics and English/Hindi.
