SSC JE Syllabus 2024 - The Staff Selection Commission provides the SSC JE 2024 syllabus in the official notification at ssc.nic.in. The syllabus of SSC JE 2024 will be prescribed separately for both paper 1 and 2 of the SSC JE 2024 exam. The questions will be asked from the engineering background in the SSC JE syllabus 2024. The Staff Selection Commission Junior Engineer 2024 exam has two papers - paper 1 and 2. SSC JE Paper 1 is conducted in online mode as it has multiple choice questions and also SSC JE paper 2 is conducted in online mode. The syllabus for SSC JE paper 1 and 2 exams are prescribed separately by the SSC for all the junior engineer posts of civil, mechanical and electrical engineer. In SSC JE paper 1 questions are asked from subjects like general intelligence and reasoning, general awareness and general engineering for civil, electrical and mechanical engineering. SSC JE exam pattern has been mentioned by the Commission in its official notification. As per the SSC JE notification, the JE paper 1 exam is of 200 marks with a negative marking. Paper 1 will be conducted in online mode. Whereas SSC JE paper 2 is of 300 marks in which questions asked are of objective nature and will be conducted in online mode too. Yes ECE graduates are eligible to apply for the post of electrical engineer post in all government departments but they should clear the competitive exam held by the department.
Even in PWD many Electronics engineers are working as Electrical & Mechanical Junior Engineer . Subjects of ECE and Electrical engineering is almost the same but ECE has more complex subjects than electrical engineering.

The education qualification requirements for SSC Junior Engineer is different for each post. As per the SSC JE 2022 Eligibility criteria the candidates who have passed 4 year B. Tech in Civil Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering and 3 year Diploma in Civil Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering are eligible to apply for various posts which will be specified in the SSC JE Notification. As you have graduated or pursuing Electronics and Communication Engineering you are not eligible to apply for SSC JE. NO, you cannot give SSC JE exam, as the Diploma holders in mining field are not eligible to give SSC JE Exam. The Eligibility criteria to give SSC JE Exam says that Candidates should have B.E/B. Tech. Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university to fulfill the SSC JE Educational Qualification requirements.
