IBPS PO Syllabus 2019

IBPS PO Syllabus 2019 - Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) prescribes the syllabus of IBPS PO 2019 along with the notification. IBPS PO exam is conducted in two stages – prelims, mains and interview. IBPS PO syllabus 2019 for prelims exam contains topics from English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. IBPS PO prelims is scheduled to be held on October 12, 13, 19 and 20, 2019. On the basis of marks secured in prelims, candidates will be selected for mains exam. IBPS PO syllabus 2019 for mains comprises topics from four sections - Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, English Language and Data Analysis & Interpretation. However, a descriptive section for letter writing and essay writing has been added to the exam stage.

IBPS PO Syllabus 2019 – Mains

IBPS PO mains examination comprises four sections from Quantitative Aptitude, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, Reasoning & Computer aptitude and English language. The mains exam will also consist of a descriptive section containg questions from letter writing and essay writing. The syllabus of IBPS PO 2019 mains exam are given in the table below.

IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2019

The exam pattern for the stages of the exam has been provided below for the inconvenience of candidates. IBPS PO exam pattern will help candidates know more about the exam stages including number of questions and marks allotted for the exam, marks distribution, marking scheme, duration, etc.

IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2019 for Prelims

IBPS PO prelims examination is conducted for total 100 marks. The number of questions asked in the exam stage are 100. Candidates will be allotted 60 minutes to complete the test.

IBPS PO Mains Exam Pattern 2019

IBPS PO mains exam is held for total 200 marks. The exam will consist of total 155  questions and candidates will be allotted 3 hours to complete IBPS PO mains exam. However, a descriptive section of 25 marks has been added for the exam stage for which additional 30 minutes will be provided by the conducting body.

IBPS PO 2019 – Marking Scheme

As per the marking scheme, candidates will be awarded 1 mark for every correct answer while 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer provided by them.

What after IBPS PO Mains exam?

After Mains, IBPS will declare the result of the exam. Candidates qualifying mains exam will be called for interview. After the interview has been conducted, the conducting body will prepare the merit list on the basis of aggregate score of mains and interview in the ratio of 80:20
