Step 3 - A new window will open on the screen
On clicking on the above-mentioned link the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2022 notification PDF link and UPSC IAS application 2022 link will appear on the screen.
Step 4 - Download the UPSC notification 2022
To download the UPSC IAS notification 2022 click on the link under the Documents heading. Candidates must read the UPSC notification thoroughly before proceeding to fill the IAS application form 2022.
Step 5 - To proceed to fill the IAS application form 2022, press the Click here link

Step 7 - Fill the details asked in Part 1 Registration form

Step 8 - New screen asking to claim age relaxation will open
Here applicants will have to fill in the choice “Yes/ No” to claim the UPSC IAS age relaxation and press the “Continue” button.
Step 9 - Fill the ID card and UPSC CSE 2022 main details
Fill the type of ID card that they will carry on the examination day. They will also have to fill the exam centre details for the UPSC IAS 2022 mains exam along with the optional subjects and the medium of language. And click on the “Continue” button. Step 10 - Preview the details filled in the UPSC IAS 2022 form part 1
Preview of the details filled by candidates will be displayed. Candidates can recheck whether the details filled are ok or not. And click on the Submit button. A registration slip will be generated. Applicants need to download that UPSC IAS 2022 registration slip for future reference.
Step 11 - Now click on the Part 2 registration link
A new pop up screen will open, enter the Registration ID, date of birth and captcha and press the submit button.
Step 12 - Pay the UPSC IAS application fee 2022
Candidates can pay the UPSC IAS application fee either in online or offline mode as per their convenience. After paying the UPSC IAS application form 2022 fee click on the “Continue” button.

Step 13 - Upload the documents and images

The documents have to be uploaded in the dimension and size specified by the Commission. After uploading click on “Upload Image” and press the “Continue” button.

Step 14 - Select the UPSC IAS 2022 prelims exam centre

If after filling the UPSC IAS 2022 application form, candidates wish to withdraw as they do not want to appear for the exam, then they need to follow the steps that are given below:
- Visit the UPSC official website - upsconline.nic.in.
- Then click on the "ONLINE REQUEST FOR WITHDRAWAL OF APPLICATION FOR VARIOUS EXAMINATIONS OF UPSC" link.
- The link for withdrawal of the UPSC IAS 2022 application form will be displayed on the screen.
- After that, press the "click here" link to start the UPSC civil services application withdrawal facility.
- Read the withdrawal instructions and click on the "yes" button

The request will be accepted only after the confirmation by validating the OTP details sent on the candidate's mobile and email, such OTP will be valid for 30 Minutes. In case the OTP is not received within 10 Minutes resend option is also available. The request for generating OTP for withdrawal of application will be accepted only till March 7, 2022 (5.30 PM).

You can choose any of science ,commerce or arts stream based on your interest after your 10th for your 10 +2 and then for graduation if you want to become an IAS officer.

How can I start my preparation for upsc ias exam after 12th with my college study
Hello Aspirant ,
It is very good to decide your aim this early in your life as it will give your enough time to prepare for UPSC CSE examination ,if you are thinking about starting your preparation after completing your class 12/from the first semester of your college you should start with basic NCERTs book of class 6-12 and give it proper 1.5 to 2 years as they are the base for your UPSC preparation and then from the 4 semester you should move on to other books like Laksmikant , Spectrum etc you should also start News paper reading .
You should start answer writing practice from the beginning of third year and then solve PYQs from 4th year .
