CTET Answer Key 2019 - Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released official CTET 2019 answer key on December 23 in online mode at ctet.nic.in. The answer key of CTET 2019 is released for both paper I and II separately. Candidates can check the provisional CTET answer key 2019 and if they find any discrepancy in the answers then candidates can raise the objections till December 25, 2019. CTET 2019 answer key contains the correct answers options for both papers separately. Along with the answer key CTET 2019, the board has also published the candidate response sheet through which they can cross-check their answers with the answer key PDF. After scrutiny, the board will release the final CTET answer key 2019. Candidates who secure marks equal to or more than the minimum qualifying marks will be considered CTET qualified.

CTET 2019 was held on December 8 in offline mode. The exam was conducted for two papers - paper I and II. The test for paper I was conducted for those candidates who wished to become teachers in classes 1 to 5 whereas paper II was conducted for those who wished to become teachers in classes 6 to 8.

How to Download the CTET Answer Key 2019?

In order to download the answer key of CTET, candidates must follow the steps given below:

  1. Go to the official website of CBSE
  2. Click on 'View image of OMR Sheet, View and Challenge answer Keys CTET July 2019'.
  3. The link redirects you to options of two login window
  4. Click on 'Downloading of OMR Sheet and answer Key for CTET July 2019
  5. Enter roll number & date of birth
  6. Choose the paper Set which was provided on exam day.
  7. CTET Answer key appears on the screen in PDF file.
  8. Check the answers mentioned in the answer key of CTET.
  9. Download CTET answer key 2019 for future references.

Along with the release of the answer key of CTET, the authority will also release the candidates' response sheet or the OMR sheet. CTET OMR sheet will contain the response of the candidates to each question asked in the exam. By going through the OMR sheet of CTET, candidates will be able to recall what answers they have given in the exam and also crosscheck it with that of the actual answers in the answer key.

CTET 2019 Answer Key - In case of discrepancies

In case any candidate finds a discrepancy in the CTET 2019 answer key, then he/she can raise objections and challenge the answer key. To submit challenges, candidates will have to log in with roll number and date of birth. Along with the submission of the CTET answer key 2019 challenge, candidates also have to pay Rs. 1000 for each question as determined by the examination authority. CBSE will then scrutinize the answer key of CTET and release the final answer key. On the basis of CTET final answer key 2019, the authority will announce the result.

CTET Answer key 2019 - Calculation of Scores

In order to calculate the scores by referring to the CTET 2019 answer keys, candidates must go through the exam pattern to know the marking scheme. As per the marking scheme of CTET, the exam is conducted for 150 questions of 1 mark each. Since there is no negative marking, candidates can follow the formula given below to calculate their expected marks.

Benefits of CTET Answer Key 2019

Candidates must check the answer key of CTET 2019 since it is important for the candidates who take the CTET examination. The answer key can help the candidates in the following ways:

  • By going through CTET 2019 answer key, candidates are able to know the number of correct and wrong answers they have given in the exam.

CTET Result 2019

The examination authority will announce the result of CTET in December 2019. CTET result 2019 will be announced for both papers I and II. Only those candidates will qualify in the CTET exam who will secure the minimum qualifying marks determined by CBSE. In the CTET exam conducted in June 2019, there were 1,78,273 out of 10,73,545 candidates who qualified for Primary School Teacher and 1,26,968 out of 8,78,425 candidates qualified for Middle School Teachers.

CTET Cut off 2019

Candidates must secure marks equal to or more than the minimum cut off of CTET in order to pass the exam. CTET cut off is released in the form of qualifying marks. As per the qualifying marks of CTET, candidates belonging to the general category must score 60% marks in the CTET. Since the exam is held for a total of 150 marks, candidates scoring score more than or equal to 90 marks are considered qualified and are awarded the eligibility certificate.

Frequently Asked Question (FAQs) - CTET Answer Key 2019

Question: I do not remember few of the answers that I have attempted. How do I check my answers?


In case you not sure of which answer option you have chosen while answering the test, you can download the candidates' response sheet or the OMR sheet which has been released by CBSE @ctet.nic.in along with the CTET 2019 answer key 2019. The response sheet contains the answers attempted by you. You can further crosscheck it with the answers mentioned in the answer key and them figure out whether you need to raise challenge or not.

Question: I do not remember a few answers options that I have chosen in the test. How can I raise challenge in case I find the discrepancy in the answer key?


The examination authority might release the final answer key within ten days from the last day of CTET answer key challenge date.

Question: Within how many days will the authority resolve the discrepancies in the provisional answer key?


Till now, there is no limit decided by the exam conducting body about the number of attempts for CTET. You can appear for the CTET exam as many times as you want until you succeed.

Question: How many times can I take the CTET exam?


Not necessarily. You may appear for both the papers - the paper I and II only if you wish to become teachers of classes 1 to 8. If you wish to become a teacher for classes 1 to 5, then you must take only paper I and paper II is for classes 6 to 8.

Question: Will I have to appear for both the papers of CTET 2019?


It is not necessary for you to take both papers - paper I and II. If you wish to become teacher for classes 1 to 5, then you must take only paper I. Similarly, if you wish to become teacher for classes 6 to 9, then you must appear for paper II only. For candidates who wish to be come teachers from classes 1 to 8, only those candidates have to take test for both papers - paper I and II.

Dear aspirant,

There are two criteria under which a CTET certificate is valid:

  • Candidates must score a minimum of 60% score.
  • The certificate is utmost valid for seven years from the date of declaration of examination.

Dear Anchal,

Once the application form is submitted, no further changes are permissible unless authorized by the exam conducting authority i.e. CBSE. For complete clarification, candidates can refer to the Information Bulletin which will be released by CBSE January 24, 2020. This Information Bulletin will contain all the details of examination, languages, syllabus,  eligibility criteria, important dates, examination fee and examination cities etc. Candidates can fill the application form of CTET 2020 from January 24, 2020.


The fees have been submitted in Bank for CTET, but still showing Fee not received. What to do

Hello, if the amount is deducted from your account and confirmation page is not generated the you should contact the exam conducting authorities. However, if the amount is not deducted from your account then candidates can login again to pay fee of CTET application form 2020 .


How to correct error in my CTET application form?

CBSE provides correction window for CTET Application Form on its official website. Candidates are allowed to make corrections in some particular details like name, father and mother name, date of birth, category, differently abled category, Paper opted (i.e. Paper I or CTET - DECEMBER-2019 4 Paper II), Subject for Paper II, First choice of Centre, language I and/or II opted, Address of correspondence and the name of the Institution/College/University from where he/she has obtained his/her B.Ed Degree/Diploma in Elementary Education etc. Candidates also need to pay online correction fee in online mode. After this conducting authorities will release CTET admit card for all candidates who successfully filled the application form.
