SSC CGL Application Form 2017 - Staff Selection Commission (SSC) invited applications for Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination on May 16, 2017. The last date to fill SSC CGL 2017 application form was extended by three days, till June 19 (upto 5:00 pm). The application form of SSC CGL 2017 was extended due to technical issues faced by candidates while filling the application form, as per the official notification released by the exam conducting authority. SSC CGL application form 2017 was available in online mode only. However, the application fee for SSC CGL 2017 could be made in online as well as offline mode. SSC CGL 2017 application from process included two step - Part 1, Registration for SSC CGL and Part 2, Filling up the application form of SSC CGL 2017. As per the latest notification released by SSC, as many as 30, 26, 598 candidates have successfully submitted the application form of SSC CGL 2017 by June 19, 2017 before 5:00 pm.
SSC CGL 2017 for Tier I is scheduled to be held between August 1 and August 20, 2017 in online mode. Candidates needed to go through important instructions and eligibility criteria for SSC CGL 2017 before filling up SSC CGL application form 2017.

How to fill SSC CGL Application Form 2017?
Candidates could fill in the application form in two parts:
Fill up the SSC CGL application form
In part I of SSC CGL 2017 application form, candidates needed to register for Combined Graduate Level Examination. Candidates could check below how to register for SSC CGL 2017 -

Click on blinking link of ‘Apply Link- 1’ and registration link will open up new window
Click on ‘New Registration’ in SSC CGL 2017 application window and click on register
Candidates needed to provide basic details like name, parents name, date of birth, email id, mobile number and click on ‘Register’
Candidates now needed to fill category, communication address details and Adhaar Card number
Click on ‘submit’ button to submit their filled in application form of SSC CGL 2017
Candidates were issued Registration Id for SSC CGL 2017 application form
Candidates needed to login with registration id, date of birth and password to complete registration for SSC CGL 2017
Candidates could upload photograph and signature by login with registered account
Photograph - The photograph needed to be white colour or light coloured background and need not be more than 4 kb in size and less than 12 kb. The photograph resolution should be 100*120 pixels in width and height. Candidates face in the photograph needed to be clearly visible and in case of spectacles, there need not be flash or glass should be white not coloured. Candidates must not be wearing cap or scarf (as it may cover their face).
Signature - The signature needed to be in black or blue ink on the white paper sheet. The scanned copy of signature must be in jpg format and it should be more than 1 kb in size and less than 12 kb. The resolution needed to be 40*60 pixels in width and height.
Candidates, also have the option to edit, if in case they have entered any wrong information while completing the registration of SSC CGL 2017 as once the application form has been submitted no changes can be made to it and candidates can only view it.
Filling Up SSC CGL Application form
Candidates who had completed Part I registration of SSC CGL application form 2017 could proceed to fill up the application form as mentioned below -
Login with registered Id and password to fill up the application form of SSC CGL 2017
The information submitted at the time of registration appeared as auto-filled and candidates can fill up remaining fields in the SSC CGL 2017 application form
After filling up the application form, candidates needed to preview the fill in application form of SSC CGL 2017 once
Candidates could edit/modify application form before submitting it, as after submission of SSC CGL application form 2017, candidates could not make any changes in it
Candidates needed to click on ‘Final Submit’ after previewing it
Candidates were advised to download and get print copies of submitted application form of SSC CGL 2017
Candidates could now proceed to remit application fee for SSC CGL 2017 either in online mode or offline mode
SSC CGL Application Fee
Candidates needed to remit SSC CGL application fee i.e., INR 100 either in online mode using online payment gateway or in offline mode through bank challan. Check below how to remit application fee for SSC CGL Application Form 2017 -
Online mode- Candidates could remit application fee in online mode via Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking by clicking on ‘online’ option in the payment window and proceed to make payment.
Offline mode - In case, candidates wanted to remit fee in offline mode, they could select offline option in payment window and proceed to generate bank challan to remit application fee. There were two slips for bank challan - bank’s copy and candidates copy. Candidates could remit the application fee in cash at any branch of designate bank for SSC CGL.
Note: The below-mentioned category candidates are exempted from application fee for SSC CGL 2017. These categories are -
Scheduled Caste candidates
Scheduled Tribes candidates
Physically Handicapped candidates
Instructions for SSC CGL Application Form 2017
Candidates only needed to register and fill application form of SSC CGL 2017 once, they needed not apply for next round i.e. Tier 2 separately
Candidates first needed to register for SSC CGL 2017 as without completing Part I, candidates could not proceed to fill up the application form of SSC CGL 2017
Candidates were given only two chances to edit/modify information filled on SSC CGL 2017 application form before finally submitting the application form
Candidates needed to download and print their SSC CGL application form 2017 for future references

Candidates who remitted the application fee for SSC CGL in offline mode using Bank Challan can check application status after at least 48 hours. Once the application status is updated, candidates can download the application form of SSC CGL 2017.
