RRB Group D Exam Pattern 2024 - Computer Based Test (CBT)

According to the RRB Group D 2024 exam pattern, the CBT is divided into four sections: The four sections of RRB Group D CBT exam are General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning and General Awareness and Current Affairs. According to the exam pattern of RRB Group D 2024, the total duration of the test is 90 minutes (120 minutes for eligible PwBD candidates accompanied by the scribe). RRB Group D Exam Pattern 2024 - Marking Scheme

The RRB have specified a marking scheme for the RRB Group D exam. Candidates will be awarded one mark for each accurate answer. For incorrect responses, 1/3rd mark will be deducted.

RRB Group D Exam Pattern 2024 - Minimum qualifying marks in CBT

Candidates must secure the minimum scores as per their category in order to pass the exam. The qualifying marks for each category are listed below as per the RRB Group D exam pattern.

RRB Group D Exam Pattern for Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Candidates who will qualify in computer based test (CBT) are required to appear in the physical endurance test (PET). It is mandatory to qualify at each stage of recruitment process according to the RRB Group D exam pattern 2024.

Female candidates

In two minutes, candidates should be able to lift and carry 35 kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres without stopping.

In two minutes, candidates should be able to lift and carry 20 kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres without stopping.

Candidates must be able to run 1000 metres in four minutes and fifteen seconds in one attempt.

Candidates must be able to run 1000 metres in five minutes and forty seconds in one attempt.

RRB Group D Exam Pattern - Document Verification and Medical Round

According to the RRB Group D exam pattern, candidates who qualify both the CBT and PET round are eligible for appearing in the medical and document verification round of RRB Group D. Candidates need to qualify the medical standards provided in the RRB Group D 2024 exam pattern. The medical standard as per the exam pattern of RRB Group D for different categories is given below:

RRB/ RRC Group-D 2020 examinations will begin from 15th December 2020.

Nationality

A candidate must be either:

(A) A citizen of India, or

(B) A subject of Nepal, or

(C) A subject of Bhutan, or

(D) Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or

(E) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Provided that the Government of India had issued eligibility certificate to candidates belonging to (b), (c), (d), and (e)

Age Limit

Candidates should be between 18 to 33 years. Relaxation in the upper age limit is given to candidates belonging to reserved categories

RRB Educational Qualification:

The railway board has set a minimum level of education qualification that a candidate must possess in order to appear for the RRB Group D level 1 examination.

A candidate who wishes to appear for Group D Railway exam must have:

  • Class 10th pass certificate OR
  • ITI degree or diploma

Any of the above degrees from a government recognised institution/Board/NCVT/SCVT is acceptable.

RRB Medical Standards:

Like educational qualification, the railway board has prescribed the RRB Group D medical requisites in the notification. Candidates who are called for DV – document verification have to pass the required medical fitness test(s) conducted by the Railway Administration.
