Staff Selection Commission has provided the SSC MTS exam pattern 2025 online in the official notification. SSC MTS 2025 exam pattern is available to download at ssc.gov.in. According to the exam pattern, the SSC MTS exam is conducted in two sessions of Computer-Based Examination (CBE) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) only for Havaldar post.
As per the SSC MTS negative marking 2025, there is no negative marking in session-I. However, in Session-II, there will be a negative marking of one mark for each wrong answer. It is mandatory to attempt both sessions. If not attempting any session will disqualify the candidate. Along with the exam pattern, aspirants must also check the SSC MTS 2025 syllabus to know the subject, topics and sub-topics for the exam.
The SSC MTS 2025 exam pattern comprises of details such as the stages, subjects on which the question paper will be based, marking scheme, time duration of the exam. To download the notification, aspirants will not need to use their SSC login credentials. The first phase of the SSC MTS 2025 exam will be Computer-Based Examination (Session-I & Session-II). Session - I (Numerical and Mathematical Ability & Reasoning Ability and Problem Solving) and Session-II (General Awareness & English Language and Comprehension) are the two-two sections in each session of the Computer-Based Examination. In the SSC MTS exam pattern 2025, there will be a total of 120 marks (Session-I) and 150 marks (Session-II) in the Computer-Based Examination. There will no negative marking in CBE (Session-I). In CBE (Session-II), there will be a negative marking of 1 mark for incorrect answers.

As per the latest SSC MTS exam pattern 2025, the second or final phase of SSC MTS 2025 exam will be conducted in offline mode to test Physical Standards (only for the Havaldar post). The marks scored by candidates in CBE (Session-I & Session-II) will be considered for final merit. According to the SSC MTS 2025 eligibility criteria, candidate must be between 18 and 25 years old, which means he/she should be born between 02/08/2000 and 01/08/2007.
So, if your Date of birth is 05/09/2007, then you are not eligible for the SSC MTS EXAM 2025.

I researched a bit and found out that SSC and most government exams consider the result declaration date as the final qualifying year because that's when you officially passed.
So you should fill 2022 in your SSC MTS application but I will suggest verifying this with someone elder who has given these exams and knows them.

Steps to Fill SSC MTS Application Form:
Wait for Official Notification
The SSC released the notification on 26 June 2025. The application window is open until 24 July 2025, and the last date to pay the fee is 25 July.
One-Time Registration
Visit the official website ssc.gov.in and click on "Register Now". Fill in your name, date of birth, educational qualifications, Aadhaar or any valid ID, email ID, and mobile number. Upload a passport-size photo and signature as per the guidelines.
Fill the Application Form
After registration, log in using your ID and password. Enter your personal, academic, and category details. Select your exam preference (MTS or Havaldar) and choose exam centers.
Upload Documents
Upload scanned images of your photograph, signature, and thumb impression as per the required size and format.
Pay the Application Fee
The application fee is Rs 100, which can be paid online using debit card, credit card, UPI, or net banking. Women and candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, and ex-servicemen categories are exempted from the fee.
Submit and Print Acknowledgment
Submit your application after payment. Save and print the confirmation page for future use.
Correction Window
You can make corrections in the application form from 29 July to 31 July 2025, if needed.
Eligibility:
Class 10 pass; age should be 18 to 25 years for MTS and 18 to 27 years for Havaldar.

According to the eligibility criteria of SSC MTS, the age of candidates should be 18 years to 25 years old (or 18 years to 27 years old for some posts) on the cut-off date of the official notification.
If you were born on 20/09/2007, you will turn 18 on 20/09/2025. You will be eligible only if the notification permits candidates who attain the age of 18 by or before that date. Please check the exact cut-off date in the currently published SSC MTS notification to ensure eligibility.
