CSIR NET Exam Pattern 2020

NTA will conduct the CSIR NET 2020 exam in computer-based test (CBT) mode only. CSIR NET is MCQ-based and the exam will be held in two sessions - morning session and afternoon session. The time duration will be is 3 hours while total marks allotted will be 200. According to CSIR NET exam pattern 2020, Part A of question paper is common to all subjects, Part B contains subject-related conventional MCQs and Part C comprises of higher value questions to test candidates knowledge of scientific concepts.

CSIR NET Syllabus 2020

NTA determines the syllabus of CSIR NET 2020 for all the 5 subjects - Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences in its information brochure. Before starting their CSIR NET 2020 preparations, candidates must know the syllabus which contains all the topics that need to be studied before appearing for the exam. The CSIR NET Exam is conducted for 5 subjects and is scheduled for June 21, 2020. The MCQ test paper of each subject will carry 200 marks and will be conducted for three hours. The question paper will be divided into three parts. Part 'A' will be common to all subjects. This part shall be a test containing a maximum of 20 questions of General Aptitude. Part 'B' will contain subject-related conventional MCQs. While the Part 'C' will have higher value questions to test a candidate's knowledge of scientific concepts and/or application of the scientific concepts.

Hi Mohita,

As per the eligibility criteria for CSIR UGC NET the candidate must have completed his or her graduation in in B.Pharma or BE or B. Tech or MSc or MBBS or Integrated BS-MS or any other science degree with at least 55% marks. Since you have a graduate degree in B.Pharma you are eligible to appear for the exam.

Hi aspirant,

Yes you can do. You can apply for CSIR NET exam with your post graduation eligibility. They don't look about the cross majors. It is one of the toughest exams in India and at the same time best exam which can give you a chance to get a lecturer job in colleges and Junior research fellow position in research institutes and colleges with a stipend of 31000 with HRA.
