Questions related to SBI Clerk

Have a question related to SBI Clerk ?

A slight difference in your mother's name, such as the inclusion of her surname in the SBI Clerk form but not in your 10th marksheet, usually does not cause major issues. However, during document verification, officials may ask for clarification. To avoid complications, you can carry an affidavit or any supporting document that verifies both versions of the name belong to the same person. It's also advisable to contact SBI’s recruitment authorities in advance to confirm if any corrective action is needed.

Yes, you should be allowed for the SBI Clerk exam as long as there are no spelling mistakes in your name. Minor variations in name order (surname first vs. name first) usually do not cause issues. However, to avoid any last-minute problems, carry additional identification proof (such as a PAN card or voter ID) and inform the exam authorities in advance if possible. It is also advisable to check the official guidelines or contact SBI’s helpline for confirmation. Arrive early to allow time for verification.

hi ,

The RBA (Resident of Backward Area) certificate in Jammu & Kashmir is a domicile-based reservation and is not the same as OBC (Other Backward Classes) reservation at the central level.

key points ;-

  • RBA is a state-specific category in J&K and provides benefits under the J&K government’s reservation policies.
  • OBC is a central category, and to claim OBC benefits in SBI Clerk (or any central government job), you need an OBC-NCL (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate issued as per the Central OBC list.
  • RBA is NOT recognized as OBC at the central level, so you cannot use an RBA certificate to claim an OBC reservation for the SBI Clerk exam.

hope this helps

Hello Saurav,

It is unlikely to create a problem during the document verification (DV) process, as long as the university name on your certificates matches the details provided in your application form. However, since your college (ABC) is affiliated with XYZ University, it's important that the certificates or documents you present clearly show the relationship between the two.

To be on the safe side, you can:

  1. Check your documents: Ensure that the university name (XYZ) is correctly mentioned, and that it doesn't cause confusion with your college (ABC).

  2. Include the affiliation information : If possible, mention in your application or provide a separate document stating that your college is affiliated with XYZ University.

  3. Clarify during DV (Document Verification): If any questions arise, you can clarify this during the document verification by showing the affiliation of your college with the university.

If the documents are genuine and correctly reflect your academic background, this minor discrepancy should not pose a major issue.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.
