Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the CTET Application Form 2020 on January 24 in online mode at ctet.nic.in. The last date to fill CTET 2020 application form, which was February 24 has now been extended to March 02 while the last date to pay the application fees is March 05, 03:30 PM. Candidates first need to register themselves on the official website to fill CTET application form. After completion of CTET registration process, candidates need to complete the remaining application form. Applicants who want to apply online CTET 2020 must upload a scanned copy of the photograph along with the signature. CTET 2020 fees for both papers is Rs. 1,200 for General and OBC categories while all others have to pay Rs. 600. Applicants who want to apply either for paper-I or paper-II of CTET 2020 should have to pay Rs. 1,000 for General & OBC and remaining have to pay Rs. 500. CBSE has released CTET 2020 Notification PDF for July Session on January 23

CTET 2020 for July session is slated to be conducted in 20 languages on July 5 across 112 cities in all India. CTET is conducted twice a year in July and December for the recruitment of teachers for classes I-VIII in government and aided schools. CTET is conducted for two papers. Paper 1 is conducted for candidates who wish to become teachers in class I-V wherein paper 2 is conducted for those who wish to teach classes VI-VIII. Candidates can also apply for both the papers as per their choice.

Choose Password:
In this step, candidates need to choose a password for their CTET 2020 application form login. The guidelines that candidates need to follow while choosing a password are given below.

  • Password must be 8 to 13 characters long.

  • Password must have at least one Upper case, one lower case alphabet and one numeric value and at least one special character!@#$%^&*-.

  • Candidate can change the passwords after login if desired. New Password cannot be identical to any of the previous three passwords.

After filling all the details enter the security pin in the box given on the page and then click on submit. After the successful submission, your application number will be generated which is your user name for login purpose.

Step 3 - Uploading of Photograph and Signature: After the CTET 2020 application form submission candidates need to upload the scanned photograph and signature as per the specifications. To upload these documents, candidates have to click on the “Upload” tab.

  4. Three options will be available to recover the login password of CTET 2020
    a. Using Security Question & its Answer chosen during CTET registration.
    b. Using a verification code sent via text message (SMS) to the candidate's registered mobile number.
    c. Using a reset link sent via email to the candidate's registered Email address.

  5. Select any one option and follow further steps to recover CTET 2020 password.

  1. Visit the official website of CTET - www.ctet.nic.in.
  2. Click on “Login - CTET February 2020”.

CTET Eligibility Criteria 2020

CBSE has released the eligibility criteria of the CTET examination in the official notification. Candidates are advised to check CTET 2020 eligibility criteria clearly before filling the CTET application form. The eligibility criteria is different for both the paper. Candidates must have a graduation degree and must be passed or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education.

Those who have scored 50% marks in graduation and have B.Ed degree can apply for paper - I.

Candidates who have passed senior secondary or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks and they must have also passed or appearing
in the final year of 4 years bachelor's in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

Paper 2 (Elementary class)

Candidates applying for paper II must have passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education and must also have a graduation degree.

Candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in senior secondary or its equivalent and appearing or passed the final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

Candidates should have passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent with not less than 50% marks and must have passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
