SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern 2019 - Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has prescribed the exam pattern of SSC Stenographer along with the notification. SSC Stenographer exam pattern 2019 specifies the number of sections and questions, duration, mode and marking scheme required for the exam. As per the exam pattern of SSC Stenographer, computer-based test (CBT) comprises three sections - General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, English Language and Comprehension. SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern 2019 - Computer-based test

The Computer Based Test as per SSC Stenographer exam pattern comprises three sections – General Intelligence, General Awareness, and English Language and comprehension. There will be total 200 questions. Candidates have to attempt the paper within 120 minutes. Except for English Language and Comprehension, the language of paper will be both in English and Hindi.

SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern 2019 - Skill Test

Candidates who would obtain qualifying marks in Computer Based Test are called for skill test. The skill test is qualifying in nature and SSC will fix qualifying standards for different categories of candidates. For the post of Stenographer Grade C, candidates will be given a dictation for 10 minutes in English / Hindi at the speed of 100 words per minute and 80 words per minute for the post of Stenographer Grade D. The dictated matter will have to be typed on the computer.

  • One mark will be allotted for each correct answer.

  • For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

Stenographer (Grade C and Grade D): This recruitment is carried out by SSC for recruiting stenographers in various central government offices as well as attached subordinate offices. The minimum qualification required is the candidate should have passed the 10+2 examination with stenography skills.
