UGC NET Result 2019 - NTA (National Testing Agency) has declared UGC NET 2019 result on December 31, 2019, in online mode at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. UGC NET exam is conducted twice a year - June and December. UGC NET 2019 exam for December session was conducted December 2 to 6, 2019. As per the UGC NET 2019 result for June session, a total of 4756 candidates were declared qualified for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor while a total of 55701 candidates qualified for Assistant Professors only.

Criteria for UGC NET 2019 Result Declaration
The number of candidates to be shortlisted will be equal to 6% of the candidates who will take the test for both papers - paper I & II of UGC NET.
The total slots will be allocated to different categories as per the reservation policy of the Government of India.
To qualify ‘JRF and Eligibility for Assistant Professor’ and for ‘Assistant Professor’, a candidate must secure at least 40% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together for General category and 35% aggregate marks for SC, ST, OBC (belonging to Non-Creamy Layer, PwD and Transgender).

UGC NET Topper Debjani Chakraborty’s percentile score for Paper 1 is 100 while for Paper 2 it is 99.3871 and overall score is 99.9669 for December 2018. Her total score out of 300 is 190.

A process of normalization will be followed in order to calculate the marks secured by the candidates. The raw marks secured by the candidate in different shifts will be converted to UGC NET Score (percentile) by NTA.
For Example: In an examination held in two shifts, if the 40% marks correspond to a Percentile score of 74 in Shift 1 and 76 in Shift 2, then all those equal to or above 76 percentiles (Percentile score of 100 to 76) in both shifts will become eligible in general category. Similarly, the calculation of scores will be done for the reserved category.

Conducting authorities will enable the link so that candidates now download their UGC NET December certificate. After this, all successful candidates can apply for the post of Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges. UGC NET E-Certificate Login window
There are two certifications for those candidates who qualify UGC NET exam –
Certificate for Lectureship (LS)
Certificate for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).
The validity of both these certificates is different.
For JRF: UGC NET Certificate for JRF remains valid for the next 3 years from the date of declaration of the result.
For LS: While for the post of Assistant Professor (Lectureship), there is no such validation limit.
