If applicants forget their application number, then candidates can obtain their application number by following the steps below:
Step 1: Visit the official website of NTA UGC NET - ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
Step 2: In the login, window click on the “Forgot Application No.?” link.
Step 3: Enter the details mentioned below:

Father’s name

Date of birth
Security pin as visible on the screen
Step 4: Now click on ‘Get UGC NET Application Number.
The UGC NET 2024 application form number will be re-generated and sent to the registered mobile number. Candidates can use the details to login into their accounts and check the UGC NET NTA 2024 result.
In order to determine the marks secured by the candidates, a method of normalization will be followed. The actual marks secured by the applicant in various shifts will be converted by NTA to the UGC NET Score (percentile).
For Example: If the UGC NET June 2024 is held in two shifts and 40% marks correspond to a percentile score of 74 in Shift 1 and 76 in Shift 2, then all those equal to or above 76 percentiles (Percentile score of 100 to 76) in both shifts will become eligible in the general category. Similarly, the calculation of scores will be done for the reserved category.
According to the UGC NET result 2024, the number of candidates to be shortlisted will be equivalent to 6 per cent of the candidates who will take the exam for both papers - paper I & II.
As per the Government of India's reservation scheme, the total slots will be allocated to various categories.
A candidate must secure at least 40 per cent aggregate marks in both the papers taken together for the General category and 35 per cent aggregate marks for SC, ST, and OBC to qualify for UGC NET 'JRF and Eligibility for Assistant Professor' and for 'Assistant Professor' (belonging to Non-Creamy Layer, PwD and Transgender).
To be considered for Assistant Professor and JRF, candidates should obtain minimum qualifying marks. For Assistant Professor and JRF for various topics, there are three types of cut off: qualifying cut off, category-wise and subject-wise UGC NET cut off 2024. The outcome of the NTA UGC NET 2024 cut off and marks needed to qualify for the test for different categories are listed in the table below.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will issue an e-certificate and JRF award letters at ecertificate.nta.ac.in. Applicants will be bale to download their UGC NET certificate in online mode. After this, all qualified candidates may apply to Indian universities and colleges for the position of Assistant Professor. Candidates who qualified for the UGC NET 2024 Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) exam would be able to pursue their research on the topic chosen.

There are two certifications for those candidates who qualify UGC NET exam –
Certificate for Lectureship (LS)
Certificate for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).
The validity of both these certificates is different.
JRF: The JRF UGC NET Certificate remains valid for the next three years from the date of the declaration of the result.
For LS: Although there is no such validation limit for the post of Assistant Professor (Lectureship).
In the loss of the original JRF Award Letter and/or NET Lectureship/Assistant Professor Eligibility Certificate, the applicant can apply for a duplicate NET Certificate/JRF Award Letter by producing the following documents:
Application of the applicant with the details of his/her date and UGC NET roll number.
Self-attested copy of the FIR with respect to the loss of the records involved.
A demand draft of Rs. 100/- drawn on behalf of 'Secretary, Committee on University Grants.' Since all NET Assistant Professor Eligibility Certificates are provided electronically, the applicant should include the contact/mobile number for his/her email id.
The UGC NET 2024 result for the June session will be announced 20 to 25 days after conclusion of exam on the official website.

If you have mistakenly clicked on the wrong gender, you need not to be worried. The NTA (National Testing Agency) conducts UGC-NET Exam twice a year- June and December cycle and always open a correction window for those candidates who have filled any of their details incorrectly. This correction window will give you a chance to correct your mistakes in the application form. But, it is very important to know that this correction window may be or may not be opened for a longer period of time. like for a week or so.

Yes, candidate who has completed their Master's from IGNOU can apply for UGC-NET. The eligibility criteria of appearing in UGC-NET Exam is to score an equivalent or more than 55% in their Master's CGPA.
UGC-NET Exam happens twice a year. The June cycle has been re-scheduled. The second cycle will take place in the month of December.
