Candidates have to carry photo ID proof along with the SSC CGL 2018 admit card or else they will not be allowed to appear for the exam. The Commission first releases SSC CGL admit card 2018 for Tier 1 examination. The Tier 1 examination of SSC CGL 2018 is scheduled to be conducted from July 25 to August 20, 2018. SSC CGL 2018 admit card will be available on the official site – ssc.nic.in. The step-wise procedure to download the admit card for different phases is given below.

SSC CGL 2018 Exam Day Guidelines
Candidates should not carry bags, mobile phones, watches, books, pens, paper chits and magazines.
Electronic gadgets like bluetooth devices, head phones, pen/buttonhole cameras, scanner, calculator, storage devices etc are not allowed inside the examination hall.
Candidates should not wear charms, veil, items containing metals such as ring, bracelet, earrings, nose-pin, chains, necklace, pendants, badge, brooch, hair pin, hair band, clothes with full sleeves or big buttons, etc.
Candidates should wear chappal, flotter, instead of shoes as the candidates would be asked to remove shoes by the frisking staff.
SSC CGL Exam Pattern
- SSC CGL examination is conducted in four tiers. According to SSC CGL 2018 exam pattern, Tier 1 and 2 will be conducted in Computer Based mode whereas Tier 3 in Pen and Paper mode.
- Tier 4 is Computer Proficiency Test/Skill Test/Document verification.
- The Tier 1 examination comprises four subjects - General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension.
- The total marks of the exam is 200 and time duration is 60 minutes. The Tier II consists of four papers.
- The Paper 1 and Paper 2 are compulsory for all posts.
- Paper 3 will be for those candidates who applied for the post of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) while Paper 4 is for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer.
- Tier 3 is a descriptive test to be conducted in English and Hindi.
