SSC CGL Admit Card 2019 – Staff Selection Commission will release the SSC CGL admit card for Tier 1. The admit card of SSC CGL is likely to be issued online in February 2019. Candidates will be able to download they admit card till the date of their exam. Only those candidates will be able to download SSC CGL 2019 admit card whose applications have been accepted by the examination authority. Candidates can download their admit card by entering registration number/roll number/name and date of birth. Information like candidate’s name, roll number, date, time, exam center and exam day guidelines. Along with one photo-identity proof, candidates will also have to carry two passport sized photographs to the examination centre.

 How to download SSC CGL Admit Card 2019?

Candidates can follow the steps given below to download SSC CGL admit card. 

Steps to download SSC CGL Admit Card 

Step 1: The admit card of SSC CGL 2019 will be available at 

Step 2: Click on the ‘Admit Card’ tab on the home page 

Step 3: Candidates will be redirected to the regional websites as shown below.

Step 4: Choose the region you have applied 

Step 5: Enter registration ID/roll number/name and date of birth in the login page. The image of the login page is given below. 

Step 6: SSC CGL admit card will appear on the screen. The snapshot of admit card is given below. 

Step 7: Download and take a printout of the admit card.

How to retrieve the registration number?

Candidates can find their registration number in their inbox which is sent by SSC after successful registration. Candidates can also search it by entering their name, date of birth (DOB) and father’s name.

The admit card will carry the following details.

  • Exam Details - roll number, ticket number, password, exam date, reporting time, entry time, exam time and exam center.
  • Candidates details - applicant’s name, date of birth, address, sex, category, photograph, and signature. 

Documents required along SSC CGL Admit Card 2019

Candidates will have to carry the following documents along with the admit card. 

  • Photo-identification - Driving License/Voter Card/Aadhaar Card/Identity Card issued by University/ College/Pan Card. 
  • Photographs – Candidates need to carry at least two passport sized photographs along with the admit card. 

Steps to take in case of error in SSC CGL Admit Card 2019 

After downloading SSC CGL admit card 2019, should check all the details like name, date of birth, category, photograph, signature etc carefully. In case there is any mistake, candidates should immediately contact the examination authority for correction. Candidates need to provide their application number and other details. 

SSC CGL 2019 Exam Day Guidelines

  • Candidates should not carry bags, mobile phones, watches, books, pens, paper chits, and magazines.
  • Electronic gadgets like Bluetooth devices, headphones, pen/buttonhole cameras, scanner, calculator, storage devices etc are not allowed inside the examination hall.
  • Candidates should not wear charms, veil, items containing metals such as ring, bracelet, earrings, nose-pin, chains, necklace, pendants, badge, brooch, hair pin, hair band, clothes with full sleeves or big buttons, etc.
  • Candidates should wear chappal, flutter, instead of shoes as the candidates would be asked to remove shoes by the frisking staff.

Ques. What if I cannot download my SSC CGL admit card?
Ans.Due to heavy traffic the official site might slow down. Candidates do not have to panic rather retry within a gap of 5 minutes

Ques. What if the login window is showing invalid response? 
Ans. Candidates should enter their credentials in the correct format

Ques. Do I need to paste photograph in the admit card?
Ans. Yes, candidates have to paste their photograph after downloading SSC CGL admit card. The photograph should be same as uploaded during registration

Ques. What if I do not have a roll number?
Ans. Candidates who do not know their roll number can download the same by entering a name, father’s name and date of birth. 

Ques: What if I did not receive SSC CGL admit card 2019?
Ans: The admit card is released two weeks before the examination. If any candidate is unable to download SSC CGL admit card one week before their exam should contact the region/sub-regional offices of SSC with proof of having submitted the application. 

Ques: How to check SSC CGL roll number and application status?
Ans: Candidates can check their application status by entering name/registration number and date of birth. 

Marking Scheme 

According to SSC CGL 2019 exam pattern, the tier 1 exam consists of four subjects - General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language. The test will carry total 100 questions which candidates will have to attempt within 60 minutes. Maximum marks allotted for the exam is 200. For correct answer, candidates will get 2 marks while 0.50  marks will be deducted for wrong answers.

Below are few tips and tricks to crack SSC CGL exam. 

  • Candidates must follow their study routine diligently. 

  • The tier 1 exam will be conducted in Computer Based Mode, it is best to solve mock test to increase speed, accuracy, and time-management. 

  • Candidates should also practice previous years question papers as it helps them to find out the important topics for the exam.

  • Whatever candidates are preparing, they should revise it properly. 

SSC CGL exam is conducted for recruitment of candidates to Group B and C posts in various ministries/departments/organizations. Candidates will be selected for the various posts based on their performance in Tier 1, 2 and 3.
