AFCAT Application Form 2019

AFCAT Application Form 2019 – Indian Air Force (IAF) had released the online application form of AFCAT 1 on December 1, 2018. Candidates were able to fill AFCAT application form 2019 till December 30. To apply, candidates had to register for the exam after which registration number and password was generated. With the help of the registration number and password, candidates were able to log in and fill the requisite details in AFCAT application form 2019. AFCAT 1 examination fee was Rs. 250 which candidates could pay in the online mode. Candidates must fulfil all eligibility criteria prescribed by IAF to successfully apply for the exam.

How to fill AFCAT Application Form 2019

To register for AFCAT 2019, candidates have to follow the steps provided below.

AFCAT Application Form 2019 – Detailed Process

Candidate can check the steps mentioned below to successfully fill the application form.

Step 1: Registration

  • Click on the link provided above

  • Fill in particulars including name, email ID, parent’s name and mobile number

  • Click on ‘Sign Up’ button

  • Registration number and password will be sent to registered email ID of candidates

Step 2: Selection of entry

After successful registration, candidates will have to log in using registration ID and password to select the exam of preference. Candidates must select the entry from AFCAT, NCC Special Entry for Flying Branch, and Meteorology branch.

Step 3: Filling of details in AFCAT application form

Personal details – In this section, candidates will need to fill details including Aadhaar card number, date of birth, gender, marital status, CPSS/ PABT status, identification mark, etc.

Education details - Select level of educational qualification, stream, and duration of course, name of institute, aggregate percentage, and percentage obtained in physics and mathematics in class 12, etc.

Course selection - Select any one course as per preference from Flying, Ground Duty (Technical) and Ground Duty (Non-Technical)

Other details - Provide details pertaining to AFSB/ SSB (if applicable) and whether candidates have NCC Airwing ‘C’ certificate

Communication details - Complete address and phone number of candidates must be provided in this section 

Step 4: Uploading of images

After providing all the required details in the application form, candidates must upload scanned images of photograph, signature and thumb impression. The size and format of the images have been provided below.

 Step 5: Selection of exam city

After candidates have uploaded the images, they will need to choose an exam city as per preference. Candidates will be able to select up to five exam centers in the order of preference.

Step 6: Signing of Declaration

After exam cities have been selected, candidates will need to sign a declaration. Having signed the declaration, click ‘Save and Continue’ to proceed to the next stage.

Step 7: Payment of registration fee

After the declaration is signed, candidates must ensure that all details of the application have been filled correctly and then proceed to the payment of registration fee. The application fee of AFCAT 1 is Rs. 250. The fee has to be paid in the online mode using credit/debit cards and net banking. Click on the ‘Payment Status’ option in order to check if payment has been successfully made. If ‘Registration Number’ is being displayed, the payment has been accepted.

While filling the application form of AFCAT (1) 2019, candidates must have the following documents close by for their convenience.

  • Class 10 pass certificate

  • Class 12 mark sheet

  • Aadhaar card

  • Email ID

  • Scanned copies of photograph, signature, and thumb impression

AFCAT Application Form 2019 - Important points

The main factors of AFCAT 1 application form are as follows:

  • In case candidates make the final submission before filling all details of the application form, their registration status will be considered as pending.

  • Candidates will be able to submit one application form against a particular Aadhaar Number

  • During submission of multiple application forms, only the latest application form of candidates will be accepted.

  • Candidates who have successfully submitted the application form will receive a mail regarding their application status in their registered email ID.

  • The application fee once paid by candidates is non-refundable and request for the same will not be entertained.

Q. I have lost my registration number. How can I retrieve registration ID?
A: The registration ID along with the password is sent to candidates’ registered email ID after successfully registering for the exam.

Q. What if I do not receive payment confirmation?
A: If a candidate does not receive confirmation fee payment, they must reload the page on which the payment status is displayed. If they are able to access the registration number then their payment has been accepted. In case of slow internet speed, candidates must retry again later.

Q. How to check application status?
A: Candidates have to login using registration ID and password to check application status of AFCAT 1.

Q. I am not being able to access the application form page. How should I proceed to fill the same?
A: Candidates may not be able to access the application form due to slow internet connectivity. This problem may also occur due to large number of applicants registering at the same time. If candidates are not able to access the registration page, they must retry to access the page after a while.

Q. I did not receive email regarding completion of AFCAT application form 2019. Have I applied successfully for the exam?
A: An e-mail is sent to candidates regarding confirmation of successful registration. If candidates do not receive the same, they must reload the email page or check for the same in the spam folder.

Q. Can I make changes to the application form of AFCAT 1 after final submission?
A: Once candidates have made the final submission of AFCAT application form, IAF will not entertain any requests to make changes in it.
