AFCAT Application FormAFCAT Application Form 2018 – Indian Air Force had released the application form of AFCAT 2 on June 16, 2018 in the online mode. Candidates were able to register for the exam till July 15, 2018. To fill AFCAT application form, Aadhaar Card was made mandatory. Candidates were also required to upload photograph, signature and thumb impression while filling the application form. The examination fee for AFCAT 2 was Rs 250 which candidates were to pay online. Firstly, candidates had to register for the exam by submitting their basic details. On successful registration, candidates were provided registration number and password. After this, they had to select the entry, enter personal information, qualification details, course preference, communication details, upload the documents, select exam city and make payment. While filling AFCAT application form 2018, candidates had to make sure that they meet the eligibility criteria, As per AFCAT eligibility criteria, the minimum educational qualification is graduation and candidate’s age should be 20 to 26 years. How to fill AFCAT Application Form 2018?

Indian Air Force (IAF) had released the application form of AFCAT on June 16, 2018. Candidates had to apply for AFCAT 2018 in the online mode. Check the steps mentioned below to successfully fill the application form.

Step 1: Registration

  • Click on the link
  • Candidates had to provide name, email ID, parent’s name and mobile number to register successfully
  • Click on ‘Sign Up’ button to receive login ID and password on registered email ID
  • After logging in, candidates should select the exam

Step 2: Select Entry

Candidates had to select the entry: - AFCAT; NCC Special  Entry for  Flying Branch, Meteorology branch.

Step 3: Details to be filled in application form

  • Personal details: Candidates must fill in the details such as - Aadhaar card number, date of birth, CPSS/ PABT status, identification mark, gender, marital status, etc.
  • Educational details: Select level of qualification, stream, and duration of course, name of institute, aggregate percentage, and percentage obtained in physics and mathematics in class 12, etc.
  • Selection of course: Candidates had to select any one course as per preference. Courses offered are - Flying, Ground Duty (Technical) and Ground Duty (Non-Technical)
  • Other details: In this section, applicants needed to provide information pertaining to SSB, GATE and whether candidates have NCC Airwing ‘C’ certificate
  • Communication details: Candidates’ complete address and phone number had to be filled in the provided space

Step 3: Uploading of images

Having filled the information mentioned above, candidates will now require to upload scanned images of photograph, signature and thumb impression. The size and format in which the images should be uploaded have been provided in the table below.

Step 4: Selection of exam centre

After successfully uploading required images, candidates will be able to choose exam city as per convenience. Candidates can choose only five exam centres.

Candidates have to agree to the declaration and click ‘Save and Continue’ to proceed to the next stage.

 

Step 5: Payment of registration fee

Having filled all the steps above, applicants were able to pay AFCAT 2 application fee. The registration fee was Rs. 250 and candidates were able to pay the fee online through credit/debit cards/net banking. Click ‘Payment Status’ to view whether payment is successful. If Registration Number was displayed, it implied that the payment was successful.

Candidates must keep the particulars of the following items handy while filling the application form.

  • Class 10 pass certificate

  • Class 12 marksheet

  • Aadhaar card

  • Email ID

  • Scanned copies of photograph, signature and thumb impression

  • GATE scorecard (if appeared)

Important points of AFCAT Application Form 2018

The relevant points related to the application form of AFCAT (2) is provided below:

  • Applicants should fill all details in the AFCAT application form 2018 before making the final submission, failing which the status of registration will be regarded as pending.
  • After candidates have submitted the application form successfully, they will receive a mail confirming the same in their registered email ID.
  • If an applicant has submitted more than one application, only the latest submitted application form against a particular Aadhaar Number will be considered.  
  • The fee deposited while filling additional applications will not be refundable.

AFCAT Eligibility Criteria 2018

As per the notification, applicants must fulfill the following eligibility conditions in order to apply for the exam.

  • Nationality: Candidates must be a citizen of India in order to be eligible to apply for the exam.

  • Age limit: Applicants opting for Flying branch should be between 20 – 24 years of age. For Ground Duty (Technical and Non-technical) branch, applicants must be at least 20 years and not more than 26 years. Age of candidates will be calculated on the basis of years as on as on January 2019.

 

AFCAT 2018 Application form – FAQs

Q. How can I retrieve password/registration ID?

Ans: The password is sent to candidate’s registered email ID. In case the password is lost or forgotten, candidates can retrieve the password using email ID.

Q. What if I do not receive payment confirmation?

Ans: Candidates having made the registration fee will receive confirmation mail in their registered ID. In case, it is not received candidates should try to reload the email page. In case of slow network, candidates should try again in a while and then check the status of AFCAT application form 2018.

Q. How to check application status?

Ans: Candidates can login using log in Id and password to check application status of AFCAT 2.

Q. I am not being able to access application page. What should I do?

Ans: This problem may occur due to slow internet connectivity or large number of applicants is registering at the same time. If candidates are not able to access the registration page, he/she should retry to access the page after a while.

Q. I did not receive email regarding completion of AFCAT application form 2018. Have I applied successfully for the exam?

Ans: Email is sent to candidates regarding confirmation of successful registration. If the candidates do not receive one, he/she must reload the email page or check for the same in the spam folder.

Q. Can I make changes to the application form of AFCAT 2 after final submission?

Ans: Once candidates have submitted the AFCAT application form, IAF will not entertain any requests to edit the same.
