About UPTET 2023
UPTET 2023 - UPBEB will soon release the official UPTET notification 2023 on the official website. Along with the UPTET notification, the board will also release the UPTET application form 2023 online on the official website. The UPTET 2023 application form will be released online at updeled.gov.in. Only eligible candidates are able to fill the application form of UPTET 2023 within the specified date. In UPTET notification 2023, the important dates related to the UPTET 2023 exam will also be announced.
What is UPTET ?
The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test is popularly known as the UPTET is conducted to determine the eligibility of the candidates to be recruited as Teachers for primary (class I to V) and elementary level (class VI to VIII) schools in Uttar Pradesh. The UPTET exam is conducted by Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) in offline mode.
There are two papers - paper I and II wherein paper I is for those who wish to teach class 1 to 5 while paper II is held for those who wish to become teachers of classes 6 to 8. Candidates can appear in either of the two papers or can appear for both. The UPTET 2023 exam will be held at various centres across 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh.
Both paper I and II are conducted for a total of 150 marks which contains 30 questions from 5 sections. In paper paper I , questions are asked from Child Development & Methodology & Pedagogy, Language I (Hindi), Language II (Anyone from English, Sanskrit and Urdu), Mathematics and Environmental Studies. While in paper II, questions are asked from Language I, Language II, Child Development and Pedagogy, Social Studies/Social Science (for Social Studies/Social Science teacher only) and Mathematics and Science (for Mathematics and Science teacher only).
In order to qualify UPTET, candidates need to secure the minimum qualifying marks which is 60% for general while 55% for reserved category. Candidates qualifying the exam will be awarded TET eligibility certificate whose validity is 5 years.

UPTET stands for Uttar Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test. The UPTET is conducted by Uttar Pradesh Pariksha Niyamak Pradhikari, Prayagraj every year or as per the vacancies. What's New in UPTET?
The validity of the UPTET certificate has been increased to lifetime. Previously, the validity for the same was seven years. However, of late the central government took the decision to increase the validity of the CTET certificate to lifetime and also asked the state governments to look into increasing the validity of the certificate of the state eligibility tests that are conducted to recruit teachers.

Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) prescribes the UPTET eligibility criteria 2023 which includes the academic qualifications, age criteria and nationality of the candidates.
Age Criteria: Candidates who are between 18-35 years old, they are eligible to appear for the UPTET 2023 exam
Academic Qualifications: Those candidates who have completed their graduation or are in the final year, they will be eligible to apply for the UPTET 2023 exam
Nationality of the citizens: Candidates who are citizens of India, Tibet, Bhutan and Nepal, they will be eligible to apply for the UPTET 2023 exam.
UPTET Paper 1 Eligibility Criteria
UPTET Eligibility Criteria - Class I to V (Paper - I)
Candidates must have passed bachelor’s degree from a recognized university and must be in 2 years of D.El.Ed (B.T.C) from NCTE recognized institution
Or, candidates must have completed a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university and 2 years diploma ( D.Ed ) from NCTE
Or, candidates who have scored 45% marks in graduation and have B.Ed degree
Or, Candidates must have a graduation degree and a diploma in teaching from Aligarh Muslim University
Or, candidates must have scored 50% marks in class 12th or its equivalent and should have passed or appeaing in B.El.Ed
Or, candidates with graduation degree and they must have be appearing or completed two years of B.T.C(Urdu, Special Education)
UPTET Paper 2 Eligibility Criteria
UPTET Eligibility Criteria - Class VI to VIII (Paper - II)
Candidates with 50% marks in graduation and must be appearing or passed B.Ed/B.Ed special education from Rehabilitation Council of India(RCI).
Or, they must have secured 50% marks in Senior Secondary or its equivalent and also they must have passed/appearing in final year of four years of B.A / B.Sc .Ed or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed
Or, candidates must have scored 50% marks in class 12th or its equivalent and also they must have passed/appearing in final year of four years of Bachelors in Elementary Education ( B.El.Ed)
Or, they must have a bachelors degree with at least 50% marks and must have passed or appearing in one year of B.Ed (Special Education)

Registration: Candidates are required to complete the registration process by entering their name, date of birth and email ID. A provisional registration number will be generated, which must be noted down by the candidates.
Filling up of important details: All the candidates must go through the UPTET application form and fill all the asked details in the form. While entering the details, they must read the instructions and check all the spellings and errors (if any).
Uploading of photograph and signature: After filling all the details, candidates will have to upload their photograph and signature in the prescribed format as specified by the exam conduction body. While uploading, candidates are advised to upload the photograph and signature in only .jpeg format.
Declaration: Candidates will have to put a tick mark against the declaration in order to proceed further. After which an OTP will be sent to the authorized mobile number and candidates need to verify it and then they can further continue to complete the application process.
- Payment of application fee: After completing all the procedure, candidates will have to pay Rs 600 as the application fee of UPTET by using methods like Internet Banking, Credit/Debit Card, E-Challan in order to finally submit the application form.
- Printout of the application form: After payment of fees, candidates must take the printout of the application fee for future reference.

Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board will release the provisional UPTET answer key first in the online mode for both papers I and II. The official answer key of UPTET will be released for Set A, B, C and D. Candidates can download the same to cross-check their answers.
Candidates will be able to raise objections in the answer key of UPTET in case of discrepancies till a certain time period. The final official UPTET answer key will be published on the website after being scrutinized by experts.
The UPTET exam 2023 analysis for paper 1 & 2 will depend on the overall difficulty level of the question paper which may be either easy or moderate or difficult. Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board will announce the result for UPTET in online mode only. UPTET result will be announced for the written exam for both paper I and paper II. The result of UPTET will be announced in the form of login window. Candidates can access their UPTET result by entering their registration number and password in the login window.
The UPTET 2023 result contains details like name, roll number, marks scored by the candidates. On the basis on UPTET result 2023, candidates are awarded eligibility certificates which will be valid for 5 years.
Only those candidates who have secured the minimum qualifying marks that is decided by Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) will be announced as qualified in the exam. The authority releases the overall qualifying cutoff marks. In addition, district-wise cutoff marks for all the candidates will be announced separately.
The factors that are considered while deciding the cutoff of UPTET are the availability of seats, the number of applicants and previous years’ cutoff trends. The qualifying marks for the General category are 60% whereas SC/ST/OBC candidates is 55% marks.
