UPTET is conducted to check candidates eligible for the post of teachers for primary (class I to V) and elementary level (class VI to VIII) schools in Uttar Pradesh. Candidates qualifying the exam will be awarded TET eligibility certificate which will be valid for 5 years. The eligibile candidates will have to fill the application form online, pay requisite fee. The selection of the candidates will be done written exam. Both paper 1 and 2 will have different subjects.
UPTET Eligibility Criteria 2018 - Class I to V (Paper - I)
Candidates must have passed bachelor’s degree from a recognized university and must be in 2 years of D.El.Ed (B.T.C) from NCTE recognized institution
Or, candidates must have completed a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university and 2 years diploma (D.Ed) from NCTE
Or, candidates who have scored 45% marks in graduation and have B.Ed degree
Or, Candidates must have a graduation degree and a diploma in teaching from Aligarh Muslim University
Or, candidates must have scored 50% marks in class 12th or its equivalent and should have passed or appeaing in B.El.Ed
Or, candidates with graduation degree and they must have be appearing or completed two years of B.T.C(Urdu, Special Education)
UPTET Eligibility Criteria 2018 - Class VI to VIII (Paper - II)
Candidates with 50% marks in graduation and must be appearing or passed B.Ed/B.Ed special education from Rehabilitation Council of India(RCI).
Or, they must have secured 50% marks in Senior Secondary or its equivalent and also they must have passed/appearing in final year of four years of B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed
Or, candidates must have scored 50% marks in class 12th or its equivalent and also they must have passed/appearing in final year of four years of Bachelors in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
Or, they must have a bachelors degree with at least 50% marks and must have passed or appearing in one year of B.Ed (Special Education)

Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board has released the application form for UPTET 2018 on September 18 in online mode. Candidates could fill the application form till October 7 and pay the application fee till October 9. While filling the application form of UPTET, candidates need to enter essential details and complete the entire process carefully in order to avoid rejection at later stages. Details filled in application form will be used later in recruitment process like admit card, result etc. The steps to fill the application form is given below.
Registration: Candidates are required to complete the registration process by entering their name, date of birth and email ID. A provisional registration number will be generated, which must be noted down by the candidates.
Filling up of important details: All the candidates must go through the UPTET application form 2018 and fill all the asked details in the form. While entering the details, they must read the instructions and check all the spellings and errors (if any).
Uploading of photograph and signature: After filling all the details, candidates will have to upload their photograph and signature in the prescribed format as specified by the exam conduction body. While uploading, candidates are advised to upload the photograph and signature in only .jpeg format.
Declaration: Candidates will have to put a tick mark against the declaration in order to proceed further. After which an OTP will be sent to the authorized mobile number and candidates need to verify it and then they can further continue to complete the application process.
Paper I is held for the candidates who have applied for primary classes (I to V). There will be a total of 150 (MCQs) questions carrying one mark each. No negative marking will be done for any incorrect answer

Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) issued the admit card of UPTET 2018 on October 31. Candidates had to download their UPTET admit card 2018 by using their registration number in the login window. The admit card of UP TET contained details like candidates name, category, photograph, exam date, time, exam centre and exam instructions. Along with the admit card of UPTET 2018, candidates had to carry any one photo ID card (PAN card, passport and driving license) to the exam centres.
UPBEB has released the final UPTET answer key 2018 on November 30. The official UPTET answer key 2018 was published on November 22, for Paper I and II. The official answer key has been released for Set A, B, C and D. Candidates could challenge the UPTET answer key 2018 (in case of discrepancies) from November 22 to 23. The unofficial answer key of UPTET 2018 was released by the coaching institutes for paper I after the exam was conducted successfully on November 18, 2018. With the help of UPTET answer key, candidates can check their correct and incorrect answers and calculate the probable scores secured in the exam.
Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) has announced the revised result for UPTET paper I. Earlier, UPTET result was declared on December 5. The paper 2 result was announced on December 11, 2018 in online mode. Candidates can access their UPTET result 2018 by entering their roll number in the login window. The result contains details like name, roll number, marks scored by the candidates. On the basis on UPTET result 2018, candidates are awarded eligibility certificate which will be valid for 5 years.
Only those candidates have qualified the UPTET 2018 exam who have secured the minimum qualifying marks that is decided by Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB). The authority releases the qualifying cutoff as well as separate district-wise cutoff marks for all the candidates. The factors that are considered while deciding the cutoff of UPTET are the availability of seats, number of applicants and previous years’ cutoff trends. The qualifying marks for General category is 60% whereas SC/ST/OBC candidates is 55% marks.
