UPTET Eligibility Criteria - Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) has determined the UPTET 2020 eligibility criteria for all aspiring candidates. The eligibility criteria of UPTET 2020 is determined on the basis of age and education qualification of the candidates. Before applying for the UPTET exam, it is important for the candidates to meet the eligibility criteria. Candidates must ensure to have met the eligibility criteria before filling the UPTET application form. As per the UPTET eligibility criteria, candidates between 18 to 35 years of age holding the required education qualification can fill the application form. However, candidates belonging to the reserved categories are given certain age relaxations in the UPTET 2020 eligibility criteria. UPTET 2020 exam is expected to be held in January 2021 in offline mode. The test is held to determine the eligibility of the candidates to be recruited as Teachers in classes 1 to 8. The authorities have determined the eligibility criteria of UPTET on the basis of the following:
UPTET Eligibility Criteria on the basis of Nationality
As per the eligibility criteria of UPTET, a candidate must be an Indian National.
UPTET 2020 Eligibility Criteria on the basis of Age
A candidate must have attained the age of 18 years in order to meet the UPTET eligibility criteria. The upper age limit to appear for the exam is 35 years. However, there are various age relaxations that are given to the candidates belonging to the reserved category. The age relaxation given to the candidates as per the category has been mentioned in the table below:

UPTET Eligibility Criterias on the basis of Education Qualification
The authorities have determined separate educational requirements for appearing in the paper I and II of the UPTET exam. Candidates must meet the UPTET eligibility criteria on the basis of education as power in the paper in which they wish to appear.
UPTET Eligibility Criteria For Paper I - Class I to V
To appear in the paper I of UPTET, candidates must hold any of the following qualification:
Must hold bachelor’s degree from a recognized university and must have been enrolled in a 2 years D.El.Ed (B.T.C) from NCTE recognized institution
Must have completed bachelor’s degree and 2 years diploma (D.Ed) from NCTE
Graduated with 45% marks and holding B.Ed degree
Candidates who have passed class 12 with 50% marks or its equivalent and should have passed or appearing in B.El.Ed
Candidates holding graduation degree and must be appearing or completed two years of B.T.C (Urdu, Special Education)
UPTET Eligibility Criteria For Paper II - Class VI to VIII
To take paper II of UPTET exam, candidates must hold the following qualifications:
Graduation with 50% and appearing or passed B.Ed/B.Ed special education from Rehabilitation Council of India(RCI).
Senior Secondary or its equivalent with 50% marks and have passed or appearing in the final year of four years of B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed
Must have passed class 12th with 50% or its equivalent and also they must have passed/appearing in final year of four years of Bachelors in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
Graduated with at least 50% marks and must have passed or appearing in one year of B.Ed (Special Education)
UPTET Application Form
UP.De.El.Ed will release the application form of UPTET 2020 in online mode in November, Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria of UPTET must fill the application form within the allotted time frame. Along with filling the application from, candidates must also pay the application fee as per their category.

Super TET Exam is the 2nd level of Exam after qualifying State level TET/ CTET exam. In this paper there are 2 papers: Paper 1 is meant for teachers opting for class 1 to class 5 and Paper 2 is meant for teachers opting for class 6 to class 8.Aspirants who successfully clear their UPTET or CTET exam can apply for the Super TET exam.
