UPTET Eligibility Criteria 2023 - Age, Qualification, Nationality

To crack the UPTET (Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test) exam, candidates need to focus on the following subjects, as the exam is designed to test the basic teaching skills and knowledge of candidates for primary and upper primary teacher posts:

For Paper I (for teaching classes 1 to 5):

1. Child Development and Pedagogy : This subject focuses on understanding the child’s development and the methods used to teach them effectively.
2. Language I (Hindi) : This includes questions related to the understanding of the Hindi language, its structure, and usage.
3. Language II (English or Sanskrit) : This tests proficiency in a second language, usually English or Sanskrit, including grammar, comprehension, and usage.
4. Mathematics : Questions focus on basic mathematical concepts, such as number systems, geometry, algebra, and data handling.
5. Environmental Studies : This includes topics related to the environment, including science, social studies, and health education.

For Paper II (for teaching classes 6 to 8):

1. Child Development and Pedagogy : Similar to Paper I but with a focus on the development and teaching methods for older children (classes 6 to 8).
2. Language I (Hindi) : Same as Paper I, focusing on understanding the language.
3. Language II (English or Sanskrit) : Same as Paper I.
4. Mathematics/Science : Candidates opting for a mathematics/science stream will have questions related to both subjects.
   • Mathematics : Arithmetic, algebra, geometry, etc.
   • Science : Physics, chemistry, biology, and environmental science.
5. Social Studies/Social Science : Questions related to history, geography, political science, and economics.
   • History : Ancient, medieval, and modern history.
   • Geography : Physical geography and world geography.
   • Political Science : Indian polity and governance.
   • Economics : Basic economic concepts.

Important Points:

• Language I (Hindi) is a compulsory subject.
• Language II (English or Sanskrit) will be chosen by the candidate.
• Subjects like Mathematics, Science, or Social Science will depend on the candidate’s choice based on the subjects they wish to teach.

Make sure to focus on the syllabus for each subject, as each topic will be covered in the exam. Practice previous years’ papers and mock tests to understand the exam pattern and question types better.

Candidates applying for the Super TET 2022 must have graduated and got at least 50% marks in all their studies . Candidates must have obtained a bachelor's degree in primary/ elementary education (B. Ed) or hold a degree in this field.

If you have completed your B. Ed. Degree and  qualified  both Uptet and ctet of paper 2, you are therefore, eligible for super tet examination also.

But to be on a safer side, you can also go for paper 1 as it would increase your chances for a secured government job if the vacancies are up for any programme.

After graduation if you have done deled also from nios board then you are eligible to fill the form of uptet,ctet and also other teaching eligibility exam after qualify such exam then you can fill the form of main teacher vacancies.But if you are doing the deled not complete then you will not eligible for eligibility criteria you have to complete 12 and then any two year diploma course.
