About SBI Clerk 2020

SBI Clerk 2020 - SBI has released the SBI Clerk 2020 admit card for prelims on February 11, 2020 in online mode. The last date to download SBI Clerk admit card for prelims exam is March 8. State Bank of India had earlier released SBI Clerk 2020 application form along with the notification on January 2, 2020 at its official website. Graduate candidates who are between 20 to 28 years are eligible to apply for SBI Clerk 2020. Candidates can fill online application form of SBI Clerk from the official website. The application fee of SBI Clerk 2020 is Rs. 750/- for candidates belongs to the general/EWS/OBC category while other category candidates are exempted from application fees. The selection process of SBI Clerk exam comprises two stages – prelims exam and mains exam. Candidates who did not have the local language as a subject in class 10th & 12th will have to appear for a language test after the declaration of mains results. The final selection of SBI Clerk 2020 will be based on mains exam marks and prelims exam is qualifying in nature. Both prelims and mains exam will be conducted in online computer-based mode. The prelims exam of SBI Clerk will have questions from English language, numerical ability and reasoning. the duration of the prelims exam is one hour with 20 minutes of sectional timings. In mains exam questions will be asked from general/financial awareness, general English, quantitative aptitude and reasoning & computer ability. The test will be conducted for 160 minutes. The exam authorities released the online application form of SBI Clerk 2020 on January 3, 2020, at its official website. The last date to fill the application form was January 26, 2020. Candidates first need to register themselves with some basic details like father’s name, mother’s name, mobile number, email address and etc. After registration candidates need to log in with their credentials to fill the SBI Clerk 2020 application form. Candidates can pay the application fee of SBI Clerk 2020 through debit card, credit card, and internet banking. Steps to fill the SBI Clerk 2020 application form are given below.


Step 1: Registration - Firstly, all candidates need to register themselves online with basic details like name, email ID, phone number, date of birth and etc. After submitting all the details the system will generate a user ID and password which will be sent to the candidates through email and SMS.
Step 2: Uploading photograph and signature - Now candidates need to log in with their credentials. Before filling the application form candidates need to upload a scanned copy of photograph and signature as per the specifications. After uploading both documents click on “NEXT”.

Step 3: Filling application form: - After uploading documents candidates need to fill the application form. The details that candidates need to mention int he application form of SBI Clerk 2020 are educational qualification, exam centre, category and others.
Step 4: Application fee payment - Now candidates have to pay the application fee of SBI Clerk 2020 in online mode through debit card, credit card and internet banking.

SBI has released the prelims admit card of SBI Clerk on February 11, 2020 in online mode. The last date to download SBI Clerk 2020 admit card for prelims is March 8. The authorities have released the admit card of prelims exam in online mode to those candidates who have filled the application form successfully. Candidates can download the admit card from the official website of SBI. To download SBI Clerk 2020 admit card, candidates have to use their login credentials - username and password. The admit card of SBI Clerk is released in two stages – prelims exam and mains exam. Candidates who will qualify the prelims exam can download the admit card for mains exam. SBI Clerk Preliminary Exam Result

SBI will release results for prelims examination on the official website. The results of SBI clerk prelims examination will be released in PDF format having roll number of all the qualified candidates. The marks of all the qualified candidates will be released after few days of declaration of results. Candidates who will qualify the prelims examination will be called for mains examination.

SBI Clerk Mains Exam Result

After completion of mains examination SBI will release the results at its official website. Candidates need to login with their credentials to access their results. The details mentioned in SBI Clerk mains result are candidate’s name roll number, interview status and others. Candidates who will clear the mains examination need to appear for a language paper later. The final results will be released on the basis of marks obtained in mains examination

The cutoff marks of SBI Clerk will be released separately for prelims and mains. SBi will release cutoffs for prelims examination along with the results while mains cutoff will be released after language test. SBI Clerk 2020 Selection Process

SBI Clerk section process includes mainly three stages:

SBI Clerk Preliminary Exam – SBI Clerk prelims exam is conducted for those candidates who successfully register for the exam. Candidates have to download SBI Clerk admit card to appear in the examination. Candidates must note that marks obtained in the prelims exam are not added while preparation of the final merit list. Approximately 10 times the number of vacancies are shortlisted for the SBI Clerk Mains exam.

SBI Clerk Mains Exam – The mains examination is conducted only for those candidates who qualify the prelims examination. Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks as prescribed by the exam conducting authority to get shortlisted for final merit list. Candidates qualified in the mains exam are placed in the merit list as per their state and category.

Local Language Test –  It is conducted for only for those candidates who have not studied the opted local language in class 10 and 12.  However, candidates who have studied the opted local language in class 10 and 12 are exempted from the language test. Candidates who are not found to be proficient in specified opted local language are disqualified from the selection process. 

Final SBI Clerk selection process of the candidates is based on fulfilling the eligibility requirement and qualifying the mains and language test. 

Documents Required at Counselling

  • Date of birth certificate or high school mark sheet with date of birth
  • Original SBI Clerk score card along with two xerox copies
  • Marksheet/certificate of class 10 and 12 examination
  • Certificate regarding degree/post-graduate/other examinations passed
  • Passport size photographs and one should attached to interview call letter
  • Character certificate
  • SC/ST/OBC categories must bring the caste/community certificate issued by the competent authority
  • Medical certificate for physically challenged candidates
  • Discharge certificate in applied under ex-servicemen
  • Aadhaar card/Passport/Pan card/Voter ID/Driving license /any other photo id card issued by the statutory authorities with affixed photograph

The cut off of 2019 SBI clerk for preliminary examination was 61.25 that was for UR, ex servicemen's data is not available for 2019, for 2018  the state cut off for ex servicemen's in preliminary exam was 32.25 and in mains examination was 60.25 for Tamil Nadu . I will try to get 2019 data from other sources for ex servicemen's.

Sir can you tell me in which state you are applying or applied. Because cut off for preliminary exam of SBI clerk is based on state wise and also please mention the state you have chosen according to that I will be able to provide you the details. For example servicemen's in 2018 it was 60.15.

Hello! Hope you are doing good.

In order to clear any exam, the most important part is clearing the current affairs apart. So, revise as much current affairs as you can.

Also, at this point of time you should start giving mock tests or previous year's appears. This will help in trying to figure out the places where you lack.

Time management is the key in competitive exams so make sure to start giving previous year's test papers. Don't think about whether or not you know the topics or have revised. Everything will be good, once you strt giving test.

You should appear for MAT and MAH CET. Just get some idea about what kind of questions are asked. If you score really well you can get a decent college which can build your career. But at the same time if you're thinking about SBI clerk then you must keep it also as an option. If you get through the interview you can definitely join and prepare for CAT alongside. It's always better to keep more options to choose from. There's not very much difference between the syllabus of SBI clerk and MAT/MAH CET. Only the banking awareness section of SBI is a little different but is easier to deal with. So you must appear for all the exams.

if i appear for SBI CLERK and get selected then can i appear for the subsequent SBI PO exam or is there any kind of restriction?

You can definitely appear for SBI PO examination even if you have got selected for the SBI Clerk exam. Not only this, you can appear for any other examination if you wish to. There is no such restrictions on it.
