About SBI Clerk 2020

State Bank of India has released SBI Clerk 2020 application form along with the notification on January 2, 2020 at its official website. Graduate candidates who are between 20 to 28 years are eligible to apply for SBI Clerk 2020. Candidates can fill online application form of SBI Clerk from the official website. The application fee of SBI Clerk 2020 is Rs. 750/- for candidates belongs to the general/EWS/OBC category while other category candidates are exempted from application fees. The selection process of SBI Clerk exam comprises two stages – prelims exam and mains exam. Candidates who did not have the local language as a subject in class 10th & 12th will have to appear for a language test after declaration of mains results. The final selection of SBI Clerk 2020 will be based on mains exam marks and prelims exam is qualifying in nature. Both prelims and mains exam will be conducted in online computer-based mode. The prelims exam of SBI Clerk will have questions from English language, numerical ability and reasoning. the duration of the prelims exam is one hour with 20 minutes of sectional timings. In mains exam questions will be asked from general/financial awareness, general English, quantitative aptitude and reasoning & computer ability. The test will be conducted for 160 minutes. The exam authority has released the online application form of SBI Clerk 2020 on January 2, 2020 at its official website. Candidates first need to register themselves with some basic details like father’s name, mother’s name, mobile number, email address and etc. After registration candidates need to login with their credentials to fill the SBI Clerk 2020 application form. Candidates can pay the application fee of SBI Clerk 2020 through debit card, credit card and internet banking. Steps to fill the SBI Clerk 2020 application form are given below.
Step 1: Registration - Firstly, all candidates need to register themselves online with basic details like name, email ID, phone number, date of birth and etc. After submitting all the details the system will generate a user ID and password which will be sent to the candidates through email and SMS.
Step 2: Uploading photograph and signature - Now candidates need to login with their credentials. Before filling the application form candidates need to upload a scanned copy of photograph and signature as per the specifications. After uploading both documents click on “NEXT”.

Step 3: Filling application form: - After uploading documents candidates need to fill the application form. The details that candidates need to mention int he application form of SBI Clerk 2020 are   educational qualification, exam centre, category and others.
Step 4: Application fee payment - Now candidates have to pay the application fee of SBI Clerk 2020 in online mode through debit card, credit card and internet banking.

SBI Clerk Preliminary Exam Result

SBI will release results for prelims examination on the official website. The results of SBI clerk prelims examination will be released in PDF format having roll number of all the qualified candidates. The marks of all the qualified candidates will be released after few days of declaration of results. Candidates who will qualify the prelims examination will be called for mains examination.

Step 2: Now, click on the result link of SBI Clerk.

Step 3: A PDF file will be open, check your roll number.

Step 4: Download file for future reference.

SBI Clerk Mains Exam Result

After completion of mains examination SBI will release the results at its official website. Candidates need to login with their credentials to access their results. The details mentioned in SBI Clerk mains result are candidate’s name roll number, interview status and others. Candidates who will clear the mains examination need to appear for a language paper later. The final results will be released on the basis of marks obtained in mains examination

The cutoff marks of SBI Clerk will be released separately for prelims and mains. SBi will release cutoffs for prelims examination along with the results while mains cutoff will be released after language test. Candidates who will clear the mains cutoffs will be considered for the final selection. Candidates can check previous year cutoffs from table given below.

SBI Clerk 2020 Selection Process

SBI Clerk section process includes mainly three stages:

SBI Clerk Preliminary Exam – SBI Clerk prelims exam is conducted for those candidates who successfully register for the exam. Candidates have to download SBI Clerk admit card to appear in the examination. Candidates must note that marks obtained in the prelims exam are not added while preparation of the final merit list. Approximately 10 times the number of vacancies are shortlisted for the SBI Clerk Mains exam.

SBI Clerk Mains Exam – The mains examination is conducted only for those candidates who qualify the prelims examination. Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks as prescribed by the exam conducting authority to get shortlisted for final merit list. Candidates qualified in the mains exam are placed in the merit list as per their state and category.

Local Language Test –  It is conducted for only for those candidates who have not studied the opted local language in class 10 and 12.  However, candidates who have studied the opted local language in class 10 and 12 are exempted from the language test. Candidates who are not found to be proficient in specified opted local language are disqualified from the selection process. 

Final SBI Clerk selection process of the candidates is based on fulfilling the eligibility requirement and qualifying the mains and language test. 

Documents Required at Counselling

  • Date of birth certificate or high school mark sheet with date of birth
  • Original SBI Clerk score card along with two xerox copies
  • Marksheet/certificate of class 10 and 12 examination
  • Certificate regarding degree/post-graduate/other examinations passed
  • Passport size photographs and one should attached to interview call letter
  • Character certificate
  • SC/ST/OBC categories must bring the caste/community certificate issued by the competent authority
  • Medical certificate for physically challenged candidates
  • Discharge certificate in applied under ex-servicemen
  • Aadhaar card/Passport/Pan card/Voter ID/Driving license /any other photo id card issued by the statutory authorities with affixed photograph

The age eligibility qualification for SBI clerk are as follows, Candidate should Not be below 20 years and not above 28 years as on 01.01.2020, i.e candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.01.1992 and not later than 01.01.2000 (both days inclusive).I regret to inform you this but you are not eligible

The minimum age required is 20 years and the candidate's age should not be more than 28 years as April 1, 2020.
However there is an age relaxation of 5 years for those who belong to SC & ST category, 3 years to ODC & 10 years to PWD in case of general, 15 years to PWD in case of SC & ST and 13 years to PWD in case of OBC.

SBI has released the Clerk application form on January 02, 2020. You can fill it from January 03 to 26, 2020 in online mode from the official website of SBI. Sorry to inform you that you are not eligible for SBI Clerk Exam 2020.As per the SBI Clerk exam eligibility,a candidate age should be of 20-28 years as on January 1st,2020.Also the maximum age for exam is 28 years for General Category,which is 31 years for OBC and 33 for SC/ST category.

So you can appear for the exam next year.

Yes you can fill the application form of SBI because the age limit to apply for SBI Clerk is 20- 28 years. Only those candidates who successfully fill the application form will receive SBI Clerk admit card tentatively by Feb 10.

It is to be noted that SBI Clerk recruitment process involves two stages- prelims and mains.
