CSIR NET Application Form 2020 - National Testing Agency (NTA) issued a notification in which it has extended the last date for filling the application form of CSIR NET 2020 to May 15. Earlier NTA had released CSIR NET 2020 application form in online mode on March 16 on the official website csirnet.nta.nic.in and the last date to fill application form of CSIR NET 2020 was April 15 (11:50pm). Eligible candidates have to register, upload scanned documents, fill in personal and academic details, and pay the application fee while filling CSIR NET application form 2020. Candidates who apply for CSIR NET can pay the application fee online using debit cards, credit cards, net banking, or UPI. The exam authorities will notify the new dates for the correction window which was earlier from April 18 to 24 during which candidates will be able to make changes in CSIR NET 2020 application form. The exam is conducted twice every year in June and December to determine the eligibility of candidates as Assistant Professors in the faculty of science and to award JRF (Junior Research Fellowship). CSIR NET 2020 will be conducted on June 21. Candidates who fill CSIR NET application form will be issued admit cards on a new date which is yet to be notified. Earlier it was May 15, 2020. CSIR NET 2020 Educational Qualifications

Candidates holding either of the following qualifications can apply for the exam.

  • An M.Sc. or an equivalent degree or Integrated B.S.-M.S./ B.S./ B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Pharma./ MBBS with at least 55% marks for General and OBC candidates, and 50% marks for SC, ST, and PWD candidates.

  • Candidates who are enrolled in an M.Sc. programme and have completed their graduation can apply under Result Awaited (RA) category given that they complete their course with the required percentage in two years after the result has been announced.

  • B.Sc. (Hons) or equivalent degree or candidates enrolled in integrated M.S.-Ph.D programme with at least 55% marks for General & OBC candidates and 50% marks for SC, ST, and PWD.

  • Candidates with a Master’s degree from before 19th September 1992, with at least 50% marks are eligible to apply for Lectureship only.

  • Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree cannot apply for the exam.

The exam authorities will provide a correction window of CSIR NET application form 2020 from April 18 to 24. Hi Mohita,

As per the eligibility criteria for CSIR UGC NET the candidate must have completed his or her graduation in in B.Pharma or BE or B. Tech or MSc or MBBS or Integrated BS-MS or any other science degree with at least 55% marks. Since you have a graduate degree in B.Pharma you are eligible to appear for the exam.

Hi aspirant,

Yes you can do. You can apply for CSIR NET exam with your post graduation eligibility. They don't look about the cross majors. It is one of the toughest exams in India and at the same time best exam which can give you a chance to get a lecturer job in colleges and Junior research fellow position in research institutes and colleges with a stipend of 31000 with HRA.
