SBI PO ResultSBI PO Result 2017 - State Bank of India has declared result of SBI PO Mains 2017 on July 3. The SBI PO 2017 mains exam was held on June 4. Candidates can check their qualifying status in the examination through SBI PO 2017 result. Candidates who have qualified SBI PO mains examination are shortlisted for Group Exercise & Interview round which is scheduled from September 4. Approx. 6376 candidates have qualified for GE-PI round. Earlier, State Bank of India had declared SBI PO result 2017 on May 16 for the preliminary exam. To check SBI PO 2017 result, candidates need to enter their roll number or registration number and DOB (date of birth). SBI PO result 2017 has been declared only for those candidates who appeared for the preliminary exam which were held on April 29 and 30 and May 6 and 7, 2017. The exam conducting authority has also announced cutoff marks for SBI PO preliminary exam 2017 along with the result only. Candidates who had qualified as per the declared SBI PO result 2017 for the preliminary exam were eligible to appear for next round of selection i.e. SBI PO Mains 2017. Through SBI PO Prelims Result 2017, candidates as many as 20 times the number of available vacancies were shortlisted for next round i.e SBI PO mains 2017. SBI will be conducting GD-PI on July 10, 2017, for mains examination qualified candidates. The final result of SBI PO recruitment exam will be announced on August 5, 2017. SBI PO 2017 is conducted in three stages – Preliminary examination, Mains examination and Interview. Candidates qualifying prelims are eligible to appear for SBI PO mains examination and candidates qualifying mains examination after the announcement of SBI PO mains 2017 result are shortlisted for Interview round of SBI PO. SBI PO Result 2017 for Mains

 

SBI PO mains result 2017 has been announced on basis of marks obtained by candidates in objective type test of 200 marks including qualifying scores in each section i.e. Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General/Economy/Banking Awareness and English Language. There is descriptive type test for a total of 50 marks, which will be considered only if candidates qualify the objective test paper of SBI PO mains 2017. Candidates need to obtain passing marks in SBI PO mains descriptive paper, which will be decided by the exam conducting authority at the time of SBI PO mains result announcement. Candidates who will qualify objective paper of SBI PO mains 2017 after qualifying sectional and overall cutoff, as well as subjective test paper of SBI PO mains, will be placed higher in SBI PO mains 2017 merit list.

 

How to calculate SBI PO 2017 Result for Mains

 

There will be negative marking of one-fourth marks out of allotted marks to a question, in case of wrong attempts.

 

Procedure to calculate SBI PO Mains Result 2017

SBI PO Mains result = Marks in Reasoning & Computer Aptitude out of 60 + Marks in Data Analysis & Interpretation out of 60+ Marks in General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness out of 40 + Marks in English Language out of 40

Candidates qualifying to appear for Interview round

Total Marks = Marks in objective test out of 200 + marks in descriptive test of out of 50

Note: Marks obtained in Descriptive paper = Group Exercise of 30 marks+Interview out of 20

SBI PO Result 2017 for Group Exercise and Interview -

 

State Bank of India will be conducting Group Exercises for 30 marks and Personal Interview for 20 marks. The qualifying marks for SBI PO 2017 GD-PI will be decided by the bank only, Candidates qualifying GD-PI will be considered for SBI PO Final Result 2017.

 

Note: Candidates belonging to OBC category need to provide OBC Certificate mentioning ‘Non-Creamy Layer’ status. The OBC category candidates, who are not able to submit OBC Certificate as Non-Creamy Layer’ will be considered under General Category only.

 

SBI PO Result 2017 for Final Selection: The exam conducting authority will be announcing SBI PO final result 2017 after conducting Group Discussion and Interview. The final result of SBI PO 2017 will be calculated after normalisation process of Mains and GD -PI marks. As per the official notification of SBI, the marks of SBI PO prelims (Phase I) won’t be considered for preparing final SBI PO result 2017. Only marks of SBI PO mains (objective test - 200 marks and descriptive test - 50 marks) and GD-PI marks will be considered for preparing final SBI PO result 2017. How to calculate SBI PO Final Result 2017

 

The normalisation of marks will be done for candidates who have qualified SBI PO 2017 mains examination in both objective and descriptive paper and GD and PI. SBI will be applying normalisation process as under -

 

SBI PO Mains examination marks (combined 250 marks of both papers) will be converted to maximum marks 75 and marks for Group Discussion & Interview (30+20 marks) are converted out of 25 marks. The SBI PO 2017 final result will be derived after normalisation of written test and group discussion & interview marks to a maximum of 100 for each category.

 

Normalisation of Marks for SBI PO Result 2017

Total Marks secured by candidates (out of normalised marks 100) in SBI PO = Marks of Mains examination (normalised to 75 marks) + Marks of GD and PI (normalised to 25 marks)

SBI will be releasing a final merit list for SBI PO 2017 and candidates who will secure higher rank in their category will be selected for post of Probationary Officers in SBI Branches. 

 

SBI PO Result 2017 for Preliminary examination

 

State Bank of India has announced result for SBI PO 2017 prelims on May 16 on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in four sections i.e. English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability thereby also leading to the overall marks. Candidates who qualify the SBI PO prelims 2017 as per the minimum required marks of sectional cutoff and overall cutoff will now be eligible to appear for SBI PO 2017 mains examinations. SBI PO 2017 result for preliminary examination will not be considered for calculation of final result, as notified by the exam conducting authority. However, candidates need to qualify prelims examination of SBI PO 2017 to be eligible for next round of selection for Probationary Officers at SBI. As many as 20 times the number of candidates in comparison to the number of vacancies will be selected for SBI PO mains examination.

 

How to calculate SBI PO 2017 result for preliminary result -

  • As per marking scheme of SBI PO 2017, for each correct answer one mark has been allotted.

  • In case of wrong attempts, 0.25% marks has been deducted from total marks scored.

State Bank of India has announced SBI 2017 cutoff marks for preliminary exam with announcement of result. The SBI has announced sectional cutoff, overall cutoff and category wise cutoff for each phase of SBI PO 2017. Candidates need to obtain minimum qualifying marks as per cutoff for SBI PO 2017 prelims, mains and final result. SBI PO Mains Cutoff 2017: Candidates need to score minimum qualifying marks out of 200 marks for objective type paper to qualify for GD/PI of SBI PO 2017. The cutoff marks for Descriptive paper of SBI PO will be calculated out of 50 marks and Interview cutoff will also be calculated out of 50 marks only.
