CTET Cut Off 2020 - Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) determines the CTET 2020 Cut off in the form of minimum qualifying marks. The cut off of CTET 2020 will be released separately for all the categories. Candidates can check CTET cut off 2020 separately for paper 1 and paper 2. All the candidates who will score marks equal to or more than the cut off of CTET 2020 will be considered as qualified. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will also get certain relaxation in CTET 2020 cut off marks. As per the CTET cutoff 2020 candidates must score 60% marks to qualify the exam. CTET exam is conducted for two papers - paper I and II for which the candidates were given 2 hours and 30 minutes each. As per the CTET exam dates 2020, the online exam will be conducted on July 5, 2020. Candidates can download CTET admit card 2020 tentatively from June 20.

How to check CTET 2020 Cut Off ?

  • Visit the official website of CTET 2020 - ctet.nic.in.

  • Now click on the “CTET Result 2020” link.

  • A new login window will open.

  • Enter your roll number in the required field.

  • Click on the login button.

  • The screen will display result along with the CTET 2020 cut off.

CTET Qualifying Marks

The exam conducting authorities determines the qualifying marks of the CTET 2020 exam. Candidates who score 60% marks in the examination will be considered as qualified. As the CTET exam is conducted for 150 marks, all candidates who will score marks equal to or more than 90 will also be considered as qualified. CBSE will issue eligibility certificates to qualified candidates after the declaration of results.

CTET Qualifying Certificate

After the declaration of results, CBSE will issue eligibility certificates to all qualified candidates. Those applicants who will clear the CTET 2020 cut off can download their eligibility certificates from the official website. Qualified candidates will be eligible to be appointed as teachers. The eligibility certificate of CTET 2020 will remain valid for 7 years from the day of declaration of result.

CTET 2020 - Number of Attempts

There is no age limit to appear for the CTET exam. However, candidates can reappear for the CTET exam to improve their score.

CTET Answer Key 2020

The conducting authorities will release the answer key of CTET 2020 in PDF form. Candidates can check their CTET 2020 answer key using their application number and date of birth. In case of any discrepancies, CBSE also provides an answer key challenge window. Candidates have to pay Rs. 1000 per question to challenge the answer key.

CTET Result 2020

CBSE will release CTET 2020 result tentatively on August 7. Candidates can check the result of CTET 2020 with their application number and date of birth. The result will be announced for both paper 1 and 2. Candidates who will clear CTET cut off marks after the declaration of result will be issued eligibility certificates later.

After clearing CTET exam candidates can pursue their careers in the teaching field. Candidates can join schools like Kendriya Vidyalaya, NVS and other private schools. In almost every teaching recruitment CTET exam is compulsory for all candidates. Some state governments also accept the CTET eligibility certificate for the recruitments.

Question: Where can CTET qualifiers apply?


Candidates who qualify CTET can apply to be teachers of classes I to V and/or VI to VIII in Central Government schools and private schools that consider CTET certificates. 

Question: If I secure the minimum cut off of CTET, will I be allotted School by the examination authority?


No, you will not be considered qualified in this case. To qualify for the eligibility certificate, you must score not only the qualifying marks but also the CTET 2019 cut off.

Question: Will I qualify if I score only the qualifying marks and fail to secure the minimum CTET cut off score by 2 - 3%?


 On the basis of CTET cut off, there were a total of 10,73,545 candidates who qualified in paper I while there were 8,78,425 candidates who qualified in paper II.

This year the CTET Cut off 2019 for OBC might be between 85 to 90. The expected CTET general cut off 2019 might be around 90 while the cut off for SC/ST might be between 80 - 85.

Yes, you can give CTET, the NIOS board education is also valid for CTET. The candidates who all are completed diploma in elementary education (D.EL.Ed) can give central TET examination. NIOS candidates will be treated equally as any other candidate who passed from a regular school recognised by the Govt. There is no impartial justice rendered there.


Can I fill the Ctet exam paper but now I am doing D El Ed

As per the notification for CTET, a candidate can apply if they're in final year of two year diploma in elementary education. So,you can apply if you're in final year of D.El.Ed. In addition to this,one needs to have passed higher secondary with a minimum of 50% marks, there's relaxation of 5% for reserved category.

is nios deled deploma vailid for ctet or not?

Hi there,

D.El.ED course is an 2 year course with 4 semesters which gives training to the teachers especually to teach in primary schoop and National school of open learning provides this diploma.

CTET is the national level exam for teaching in elementary and primary children and it has 2 papers.

For paper 1 minimum 50% in 10+ 2 or diploma from recognized board is needed and for paper 2 10+2 and B.E l.ED is required.

What is the validity period of CTET certificate?

Dear aspirant,

There are two criteria under which a CTET certificate is valid:

  • Candidates must score a minimum of 60% score.
  • The certificate is utmost valid for seven years from the date of declaration of examination.

P.S. : There is no restriction on a number of attempts and also CTET qualified person can appear to the exam for improving his/her score.

I made a mistake in ctet application form by choosing wrong exam city. How to change?

Once the application form is submitted, no further changes are permissible unless authorized by the exam conducting authority i.e. CBSE. For complete clarification, candidates can refer to the Information Bulletin which will be released by CBSE January 24, 2020. This Information Bulletin will contain all the details of examination, languages, syllabus,  eligibility criteria, important dates, examination fee and examination cities etc. Candidates can fill the application form of CTET 2020 from January 24, 2020.
