CTET Cut Off 2019 - Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will determine CTET 2019 cut off in the form of minimum qualifying marks. All those candidates who secure marks equal to or more than the cut off of CTET 2019 will be considered qualified in test. CTET cut off is released for both the papers - paper I and II, category wise to shortlist the candidates for the merit list. As per CTET cut off 2019, candidates securing 60% marks will only pass the test. However, candidates belonging to the reserved category will be provided certain relaxation in the qualifying marks. All those candidates who will score CTET cut off 2019 and pass will be issued the eligibility certificate. Candidates issued with the eligibility certificate will only be considered CTET qualified.

CTET 2019 exam is scheduled to be held on conducted on December 8, 2019. The exam is conducted to determine the eligibility of the candidates as Teachers in the schools run by Central Government. CTET 2019 exam will be conducted for two papers - paper I and II for which the candidates will be given 2 hours and 30 minutes each. Each paper will be conducted for a total of 150 marks. Note: As per the official notification, the qualifying marks for the general category will be 60% of the total marks (150). However, the authority may provide relaxations in CTET 2019 cut off to the reserved categories.

How to check CTET Cut Off 2019

In order to check the cut off of CTET 2019, candidates must follow the steps mentioned below:

  2. The screen will display various notifications.

  3. Click on the CTET result link.

  4. The link takes you to the login window

  5. Enter your roll number

  6. Screen will then display your result.

  7. Check the cut off of CTET in the result window

CTET Cut Off 2019 - Qualifying Marks

The examination authority has determined the qualifying marks for the candidates to shortlist the deserving candidates. All those candidates who score 60% marks in the CTET exam will be considered TET qualified. Since CTET exam is conducted for a total of 150 marks, all those who score more than or equal to 90 marks will be considered qualified and will be awarded the eligibility certificate. However, candidate belonging to the reserved category might get certain relaxation in the qualifying percentage.

Factors Determining CTET Cut Off 2019

In order to determine the cut of CTET, the examination authority takes the following factors into consideration:

CTET Cut Off 2019 - Qualifying Certificate

CTET qualifying certificate is a document which is given to the candidates as a proof that he/she has qualified the exam or not. Qualifying CTET means that the candidate has qualified the criteria to be appointment as teachers.

CTET 2019 Cut Off - Validity of Eligibility Certificate

The eligibility certificate of CTET is valid for seven years from the date of result announcement for all categories. Candidates who get the eligibility certificate of CTET can apply for the post of teachers in any Central Government run school till seven years from the date of result announcement.

How many times a candidate can take CTET exam?

There are no such restrictions on the number of times a candidate can appear for CTET exam. Along with this, candidates who have qualified the CTET exam earlier can appear for the test again in order to improve their scores.

CTET Result 2019

CBSE might announce the result of CTET 2019 in December. CTET result 2019 will be released in online mode wherein candidates will be able to download their result by entering their login credentials. The result of CTET will be announced for both paper I and II. Only those candidates will be considered qualified who will secure the qualifying marks along with the minimum cut off of CTET 2019.

What Next?

Candidates who qualify CTET and get the eligibility certificate are eligible to apply in the following places until seven years of the declaration of CTET result.

  • Central Government schools (Schools of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya)
  • State Government schools that do not conduct state TET and consider CTET scores

Question: Where can CTET qualifiers apply?


Candidates who qualify CTET can apply to be teachers of classes I to V and/or VI to VIII in Central Government schools and private schools that consider CTET certificates. 

Question: If I secure the minimum cut off of CTET 2019, will I be allotted School by the examination authority?


No, you will not be considered qualified in this case. To qualify for the eligibility certificate, you must score not only the qualifying marks but also the CTET 2019 cut off.

 On the basis of CTET cut off, there were a total of 10,73,545 candidates who qualified in paper I while there were 8,78,425 candidates who qualified in paper II.

Hello student yes you should appear for the exam and at the time of counselling you should clear all the doubts in case if they didn't agree and can't take your admission then you can drop a year for which you're already prepared by not appearing in the exam but if you appear in the exam you'll gain experience an overview of exam also a chance what if they'll correct your information at the time of admission.

i have entered wrong date in my date of birth suppose to be 25/03/1999 but written 23/03/1999 for the CTET examination December 2019 should i be allow to enter exam hall or not?

You can sit for the exam because they will match your thumb impression and also face recognition. You can carry your original document and provide at the time of entry so that they will verify you and will allow you to sit for the exam.

when the admit card for ctet exam for dec 2019 will be despatched

It is said that CTET admit cards will be available in the month of November on 28th.
Examination date for CTET examination is on December 8th. Both the papers are conducted on the same date.
  • 1st paper is at 8AM
  • 2nd paper is at 12:30PM

Hello Abhya,

Since it is clearly mentioned in the CTET 2019 notification for the December exam, that no request for change of medium will be entertained under any circumstances, you will have to take the test in that medium only which you have opted. Try and make it happen, if not you may appear again in CTET 2020 June session and choose your medium wisely.

You are asking an incomplete or improper question.

As of now Aadhar card is mandatory in most of the exams similarly for CTET you have to fill your Aadhar card also and talking about is it valid or not. If you fill up your correct details in the form then it is of course valid.
