CTET 2016 cutoff is the minimum required marks to be obtained by the candidates to be considered for the issue of Eligibility Certificate. The aspirants appearing in CTET 2016 will be issued Marks Statement. Those candidates, who secure 60% and above marks in CTET 2016, will be issued Eligibility Certificate.
However, School Managements (Government, Local bodies, Government aided and unaided) have the right to consider on concessions to candidates from SC/ST, OBC, differently abled persons, etc., as per their extant reservation policy. The qualifying candidates of CTET 2016 do not have a right for recruitment/employment basis that as the Eligibility Certificate is only one of the eligibility criteria for their appointment to teaching jobs.
The CTET qualifying certificate is valid for appointment of the candidates only for seven years from the date of announcement of the result. If a qualifying candidate wants to improve their score, they can appear in the CTET again.
