Yes, absolutely you are eligible for both the examination. For both IBPS clerk and SBI Clerk minimum age should be 20 and maximum 28, along with this a candidate is mandatory to complete graduation.

So, according to the data you are eligible for the examination.

November–December 2024 will see the SBI Clerk Prelims Exam 2024–25, while January–February 2025 will see the SBI Clerk Mains Exam 2024–25.

However exact date is not revealed yet. Start your preparation now because after the form fill up get starts you won't be able to get enough time.

I think you cannot give the SBI clerk examination for 2024 because as you are born in 2003 you might still be in college and according to SBI clerk eligibility list Candidates should possess a bachelors degree in any stream from a recognized university or institution.  Alternatively, they must have an equivalent qualification from a centrally recognized institution. Since you are not graduated you are not eligible for the exam.

No you are not eligible for either SBI Clerk or IBPS PO if you belongs to Unreserved or General category because currently your age is more than 32 years if you was born in 1991 and for SBI Clerk maximum age limit is 28 years and for IBPS Clerk as well it is 20-28 years.


ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR SBI/IBPS CLERK :-

>>>>> Age of the candidate should be in the range of 20-28 years with relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST category and 3 years for OBC category.

>>>>> The candidate should have at least graduation degree in any discipline including B.Tech./BA/B.Com..... and so on. However the candidates in final year of graduation are also eligible to apply for SBI Clerk but not for IBPS Clerk.

>>>>> For General category maximum number of attempts allowed are 4.

See if you are interested in the SBI Clerk and IBPS clerk examination then if you are a general candidate then you need not have more than 28 years of age before 1st April,2022. Now You are going to be 28 in January,30 2022 so you are eligible for the examination for this year, but its your last attempt if you are a general candidate but if you are other category candidate then you will get age relaxation.

The candidate should have been born not later than 01.04.2002 and not before 02.04.1995 for the 2023 exam.you are not eligible for the sbi clerk exam.

You can apply for p.o exams as the age limit for the exam is upto 30 years or you can do professional degree course and can apply for SCALE-2 officers in which maximum age limit is 35 years.

The State Bank of India released the SBI clerk mains cut off on 17th November 2021. 87 is the cutoff mark for ex-servicemen in Gujarat for the general category and or OBC the cut-off is 78.25 marks. And for prelims exam cut off for the general category is 64.50, for the OBC category is 64.50 and for the SC category is 63.50.

State Bank of India (SBI) prescribes SBI Clerk eligibility criteria in terms of age, educational qualification and nationality. Candidates who fulfills the Eligibility Criteria are only considered for the Recruitment process.


Any graduate candidates between 20 and 28 years can apply for the exam. Candidates age must not be below 20 years and not above 28 years as on 01.04. 2021, 0,i.e, candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.04. 1993 and not later than 01.04.2001 (both days inclusive).


Amongst various provisions made for a reserved class, age relaxation is one of the factors. Candidates belonging to reserved category have age relaxation based on the category they belong to.

To appear for SBI Clerk entrance examination the age of the candidate must be  in between 20 to 28 years as on April 1, 2022. Your age as on April 1, 2022 will be 28 years 11 months 11 days. For candidates belonging to reserved category age relaxation on upper age is applicable which is as follows

  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • PWD ( general/EWS): 10 years
  • PWD-OBC: 13 Years
  • PWD-SC/ST: 15 YEARS
  • Ex-Servicemen/ Disabled Ex-Servicemen: Actual period of service rendered in defense services + 3 years, (8 years for Disabled Ex- Servicemen belonging to SC/ST) subject to max. age of 50 years
  • Widows, Divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands & who are not remarried: 7 years (subject to maximum age limit of 35 years for General/ EWS, 38 years for OBC & 40 years for SC/ST candidates)

If you belong to general category you are not eligible to apply for SBI Clerk. If you belong to any of the above mentioned category you are eligible to appear subjected to fulfilment of the education eligibility criteria.
