SSC MTS Eligibility Criteria 2020 - Staff Selection Commission prescribes the SSC MTS 2020 eligibility criteria along with the notification. The eligibility criteria of SSC MTS 2020 include nationality, age and academic qualifications. As per the SSC MTS eligibility criteria 2020, candidates must have passed the class 10th or equivalent qualification exam from the reputed education board. Also, the age of candidates must be between 18-25 years as per SSC MTS eligibility 2020. SSC MTS 2020 exam is conducted to recruit candidates for group 'C' non-gazetted posts. SSC MTS Eligibility Criteria 2020
Candidates must ensure that they fulfil the following SSC MTS 2020 eligibility criteria to appear for the exam.
SSC MTS 2020 Eligibility Criteria - Nationality
Candidate must be
(a) a citizen of India,
(b) a subject of Nepal,
(c) a subject of Bhutan or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came to India, before January 1, 1962, with intention to permanently settle here or
(e) a person of Indian origin who migrated from Burma, East African, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, countries of Uganda, Kenya, Zambia, Zaire, the United Republic of Tanzania, Malawi, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention to settle in India permanently.
Although candidates belonging to the (b), (c), (d) and (e) categories will have to showcase their certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
SSC MTS Eligibility Criteria 2020 - Age Limit
According to the eligibility criteria of SSC MTS 2020, candidates' age must be between 18 to 25 years. While filling the application form of SSC MTS 2020, candidates date of birth should be the same as recorded in Class 10/Matriculation/Secondary examination certificate. SSC has provided upper age relaxation to candidates belonging to candidates from a certain category, check the following table for the same.

Widows / Divorced Women / Women judicially separated and who are not remarried( Unreserved/General )
Can apply up to Up to 35 years of age
Widows / Divorced Women / Women from OBC category who got judicially separated and who are not remarried
Can apply up to Up to 38 years of age
Widows / Divorced Women / Women from SC/ST category who are judicially separated and are not remarried
Can apply up to Up to 40 years of age
Defence Personnel disabled in operation during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof (Unreserved/General )
Relaxation of 3 years
OBC Defence Personnels disabled during operation with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof
Relaxation of 6 (3+3) years
SC/ST Defence Personnels disabled during operation with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof
Relaxation of 8 (3+5) years
Unreserved/General candidates who are Service Clerks in the last year of their colour service in Armed Forces
Can apply Up to 45 years of age
OBC candidates who are Service Clerks in the last year of their colour service in Armed Forces
Can apply Up to 48 years of age
SC/ST candidates who are Service Clerks in the last year of their colour service in Armed Forces
Can apply Up to 50 years of age
Retrenched census employees belonging from UR categories of Office of Registrar General of India (They will be considered only for offices under Registrar General of India in their order of merit and subject to availability of vacancies )
3+ years of service rendered in connection with census, before retrenchment and Weightage of past service.
SSC MTS Eligibility Criteria 2020 - Academic Qualification
Those candidates who have passed their class 10th examination or from a reputed education board recognised by the Government of India Central Govt. Candidates whose 10th results are awaited or those aspirants who are appearing in the 10th board exam can also apply but they will have to produce their relevant documents during the DV (Document Verification). Candidates declared qualified by SSC for Document Verification will have to produce their required certificates as proof.
SSC will release the application form of MTS 2020 on June 02, The last date to fill the form will be July 15. The application form will be released in online mode. To fill the application form, candidates have to register in two parts. Part 1 of application form consists of registration by entering basic details whereas in the Part 2 candidates will have to select the SSC MTS 2020 exam centres and pay the application fee. The application fee can be paid both online (via Credit/Debit card or net banking) as well as offline mode (bank challan).
