As per the SSC Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff 2026 eligibility requirements, those applying for the examination must be a citizen of India or must meet any of the below mentioned nationality criteria.

  • The subject of Bhutan or

  • The subject of Nepal or

  • Tibetan refugees who moved to India, before January 1, 1962, settled in India, or

  • Person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention to settle in India

SSC MTS Age Criteria 2026

As per the SSC MTS age limit, candidates must be between the age group prescribed by the SSC. For MTS, the age limit is between 18 to 25 years (Applicants born not before August 2, 1998, and not later than August 1, 2005). For Havaldar in CBN and CBIC (Department of Revenue) and a few posts of MTS, the age limit is between 18-27 years (Applicants born not before August 2, 1996 and not later than August 1, 2005). SSC MTS Educational Qualification 2026

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the SSC MTS 2024 recruitment, offering a total of 11,518 vacancies, including 8,079 for Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) and 3,439 for Havaldar positions in CBIC and CBN .

Candidates must have passed Class 10 and meet the age criteria: 18–25 years for MTS and 18–27 years for Havaldar, with age relaxations as per government norms. The examination will be conducted in multiple phases, including a Computer-Based Test (CBT), followed by Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) for Havaldar posts

According to the SSC MTS 2025 eligibility criteria, candidate must be between 18 and 25 years old, which means he/she should be born between 02/08/2000 and 01/08/2007.
So, if your Date of birth is 05/09/2007, then you are not eligible for the SSC MTS EXAM 2025.

I researched a bit and found out that SSC and most government exams consider the result declaration date as the final qualifying year because that's when you officially passed.

So you should fill 2022 in your SSC MTS application but I will suggest verifying this with someone elder who has given these exams and knows them.

Steps to Fill SSC MTS Application Form:

  1. Wait for Official Notification
    The SSC released the notification on 26 June 2025. The application window is open until 24 July 2025, and the last date to pay the fee is 25 July.

  2. One-Time Registration
    Visit the official website ssc.gov.in and click on "Register Now". Fill in your name, date of birth, educational qualifications, Aadhaar or any valid ID, email ID, and mobile number. Upload a passport-size photo and signature as per the guidelines.

  3. Fill the Application Form
    After registration, log in using your ID and password. Enter your personal, academic, and category details. Select your exam preference (MTS or Havaldar) and choose exam centers.

  4. Upload Documents
    Upload scanned images of your photograph, signature, and thumb impression as per the required size and format.

  5. Pay the Application Fee
    The application fee is Rs 100, which can be paid online using debit card, credit card, UPI, or net banking. Women and candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, and ex-servicemen categories are exempted from the fee.

  6. Submit and Print Acknowledgment
    Submit your application after payment. Save and print the confirmation page for future use.

  7. Correction Window
    You can make corrections in the application form from 29 July to 31 July 2025, if needed.

Eligibility:
Class 10 pass; age should be 18 to 25 years for MTS and 18 to 27 years for Havaldar.

Documents Required:
Aadhaar card or valid ID proof, 10th class marksheet, passport-size photograph, signature, and thumb impression.
