NDA Eligibility Criteria 2018 - The eligibility criteria of NDA has been prescribed by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). NDA eligibility criteria 2018 includes age limit, nationality, educational qualification and physical standard. In order to be eligible for the recruitment exam candidates have to fulfill the eligibility conditions. According to NDA 2018 eligibility criteria, applicant’s age should be between 16.5 to 19.5 years. Candidates who have appeared or are appearing in 10+2/HSC examination are eligible to fill NDA application form. Only male unmarried candidates who are citizens of India are eligible for applying as per NDA eligibility criteria. Candidates can check the eligibility criteria before applying for the examination. Highlights of NDA Eligibility Criteria 2018
Candidates have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria.
(i) a citizen of India, or
(ii) a subject of Bhutan, or
(iii) a subject of Nepal, or
(iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the January 1, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to the above categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. Certificate of eligibility will not, however, be necessary in the case of candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal.
Age Limit: Candidates born not earlier than July 2, 1999 and not later than July 1, 2002. The date of birth should be as recorded in the matriculation or higher secondary examination certificate.
Minimum Age: 16.5 years
Maximum Age: 19.5 years
Marital Status: Only unmarried candidates are eligible to apply for NDA examination.
For Army Wing of National Defence Academy: The candidates applying for admission into the Army wing of National Defence Academy should be Class 12 pass.
For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: The candidates must have passed class 12th with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
Candidates who are appearing in the Class 12 or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.Those appearing in the class 11 exam are not eligible.
Candidates must be physically and mentally fit inorder to be eligible for the post. Those who has resigned or withdrawn on disciplinary grounds from any of the training academies of armed forces is not eligible to apply. A number of candidates are rejected on medical grounds at the SSB Interview.

Other than the above requirements in the physical standards the candidates must be in good physical and mental health and they should not be obese or over weight.

Special or Specific Requirements for Air Force Pilot
The minimum acceptable height is 157 cm for Army, Navy and Naval Academy while 162.5 cm for Air Force. For Gorkhas and individuals belonging to hills of North-Eastern the minimum acceptable heights will be 5 cm less.
NDA application form 2018 will be released on June 6. The last date to apply is July 2, 2018. The application fees is Rs 100 for general and OBC category while SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment. Candidates have to complete their application in two parts – Part 1 and 2.
