SBI Clerk exam consists of two stages - prelims and mains. A language test will be conducted after mains for those who did not study the chosen local language in class 12. This is the first step in filling SBI Clerk application form. Candidates must enter their name, email ID, date of birth and phone number. After completing the registration process, a provisional registration number and password is generated which is sent to the candidates through SMS and email.

Step 2 - Uploading of Signature and Photograph
In this step of SBI Clerk application form, candidates must upload their photograph and signature as per the prescribed specifications. Separate links have been provided to upload a photograph and signature in the SBI Clerk application form 2020.
Photograph must be recent coloured with a white background, having dimensions of 200 x 230 pixels in a file size of 20 kb–50 kb. Caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but must not cover your face.
Signature must be in black ink on a white paper in a file size of 10 -20 KB with dimensions 140 x 60 pixels. Signature should not be in capitals.

Step 3 - Filling up of Basic Details
In this step of filling SBI Clerk application form 2020, candidates have to enter details the following details:
While filling the basic details in the application form of SBI Clerk 2020, candidate need to mention categories, circle, official language, category, sub-category etc.Candidates will have to choose the state and then one city from the drop down list. They will be allotted an exam centre according to the city chosen.
Next they have to enter their gender, marital status, father’s name, mother’s name, permanent and temporary address so that they can be intimated at the time final selection.
Finally, candidates have to enter details regarding educational qualification - subject studied, year of passing, marks scored etc. Candidates also have to sign the declaration form once they fill all the required details by clicking on the ‘I Agree’ box.
Step 4 - Preview of SBI Clerk 2020 Application Form
It is good practice to preview the application form of SBI Clerk 2020 before clicking on the final submit button. By previewing SBI Clerk application form, candidates can check whether the details filled are correct or not. This way, any errors or mistakes in the application form can be easily corrected as after submission, no changes can be made.

Step 5 – Payment of SBI Clerk Application Fees
The next step is payment of application fee of SBI Clerk 2020. The application fee can be paid in online mode only using Internet banking or Credit/Debit Cards. The table below contains the category wise application fee payable by candidates.
Step 6 - Final Submission of SBI Clerk Application Form 2020
After payment of the application fee, candidates must click on final submit button. They should also download and save a copy of the SBI Clerk application form 2020 for future references.
Candidates can save the data in the application form of SBI Clerk 2020 anytime while filling the details.
A provisional registration number and password will be generated by the system after saving.
The facility of using the provisional registration number and password to login and fill the details will be available only three times.
On successful submission of the SBI Clerk application form 2020, an e-receipt and the filled application form with fee details will be generated. This must be downloaded and printed for record.
SBI will only accept one application form. If candidates have filled more than one application form, the last valid (completed) application will be retained.
Fee paid for multiple applications will be forfeited and not refunded.
Only one application form will be valid and needed for both prelims and mains.
In addition to candidates who do not fulfil the specified eligibility criteria of SBI Clerk, candidates who will not be eligible to fill the application form are
Candidates who are currently working in SBI in the Clerical or Officer cadre
Also candidates who were earlier employed in State Bank of India and resigned from the Bank while in clerical or officer cadre
Candidates with record of default in repayment of loans/ credit card dues or having adverse report of CIBIL or other agencies
To apply and appear for the clerical cadre, candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria of SBI Clerk which includes specifications on nationality, age, and education qualification. The details of the same are given in the table below.
