SSC Stenographer 2020 Result - Written Exam
SSC Stenographer 2020 result for CBT carries a total of 200 marks. The SSC Stenographer CBT has four sections - General Awareness, English Language and Comprehension and General Intelligence and Reasoning. SSC Stenographer result 2020 of CBT will be declared for candidates securing the qualifying marks in the exam. The qualifying marks will be decided by SSC as per various categories.
SSC Stenographer Result 2020 - Resolution of Ties
In case two or more aspirants secure equal aggregate marks, tie will be resolved by applying the following methods one after another
1. Marks in the Computer Based Test (CBT)
2. Date of birth, with older candidates, placed higher in the merit list.
3. Alphabetical order of the first names of the candidate.
SSC Stenographer 2020 - Qualifying Marks
The minimum qualifying marks of SSC Stenographer 2020 are as follows:

All other categories (SC, ST, PwD, ESM, etc): 20%
How will the SSC Stenographer 2020 Result Calculated for Computer Based Test?
For each correct answer, candidates will be allotted one mark
For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted as negative marking
Formula to calculate the total marks obtained by candidate in CBT exam = Number of correct answers x 1 – Number of incorrect answers x 0.25.
SSC Stenographer Result 2020 for Skill Test/Final Result
Candidates securing the minimum qualifying marks in CBT will be invited to appear for the skill test. The skill test is qualifying in nature. Candidates will be required to secure the qualifying marks in the skill test in order to clear the exam. The skill test is mandatory and is qualifying in nature. SSC fixes category wise qualifying standard in the Skill Test for each post. Candidates who qualify the Skill Test will be considered for final selection on basis of their merit in the CBT.
Candidates final selection and their allocation in Ministries/ Departments will be made on the basis of their performance in the CBT and the choice of Posts/ Departments they have asked for at the time of Document Verification.

SSC Stenographer involves computer based test conducted for a duration of two hours in MCQs format in English and Hindi, it involves section like general intelligence and reasoning of 50 questions carrying 50 marks,general awareness of 50 questions carrying 50 marks,and english language and comprehension of 100 questions carrying 100 marks, there's negative marking scheme of 0.25 for each wrong attempt.
Syllabus is as follows;
general intelligence and reasoning includes analogies, similarities and differences,
space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory,
discriminating observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure
classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series etc.
general awareness includes questions related to India and its Neighboring countries
especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic scene, General
Polity including Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research
english language and comprehension includes vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure,
synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, etc. there is also writing ability test of candidates.
Skill test will be conducted for 55 minutes in hindi and 40 minutes in english for group C, in case of group d skill test is for a duration of 65 minutes in hindi and 50 minutes in english.
