SSC MTS 2023 - The Staff Selection Commission closed the SSC MTS 2023 answer key challenge window on September 20. The SSC MTS answer key 2023 for paper 1 was released on September 17 at ssc.nic.in. The commission conducted the SSC MTS 2023 exam tier 1 from September 1 to 14, 2023 various exam centres across the country. The commission started issuing the SSC MTS admit card 2023 from August 25 on the respective regional websites. SSC released an official notification and SSC MTS 2023 vacancies state-wise and region-wise online on June 30, 2023 at ssc.nic.in. It closed the SSC MTS 2023 application form window on July 21, 2023.
Latest: The Commission has started issuing the SSC MTS 2022 admit cardfor PET/PST from September 20, 2023 onwards. Candidates can download the SSC MTS admit card 2023 from their respective regional websites.
The SSC MTS exam is conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for the recruitment of Multi-Tasking staff in various Central government departments of state and Union Territories. Candidates qualifying the Tier I are called for Tier II. Approximately, 10,000 vacancies are filled every year through this recruitment exam. Applicant’s age for the recruitment exam is 18 to 25 & 18 to 27 years. The final selection of candidates will be done on the basis of Tier I, provided they qualify Tier II.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) prescribed the eligibility criteria for the SSC MTS exam. To be eligible for SSC MTS 2023, candidates have to fulfill the following eligibility conditions in terms of age, nationality and educational qualification.
Nationality – Candidates should be a citizen of India.
Age Limit – The age of candidates applying to the post of MTS and Havaldar in CBN (Department of Revenue) should be 18 to 25 years. For, Havaldar in CBIC (Department of Revenue) and a few posts of MTS, applicants should be 18 to 27 years.
Relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided to candidates belonging to SC/ST, OBC, Ex-Servicemen etc. Candidates should note that the date of birth should be the same as recorded in the matriculation/secondary examination certificate or equivalent certificate.
Educational qualification – Applicants must have passed Class 10 or equivalent examination from a recognised board. Those who are appearing in the exam in 2023 will also be eligible provided they will have to submit required documents during document verification.

The Staff Selection Commission activated the SSC MTS 2023 application form link on June 30, 2023 at ssc.nic.in. Candidates could fill out the SSC MTS application form 2023 by July 21, 2023. The commission provided the SSC MTS application form correction window in online mode from July 26 to July 28, 2023.
The application form for the SSC MTS 2023 consists of two parts - registration and application form. While registering for the SSC MTS exam, candidates needed to enter personal & academic details in part 1 of the application process and upload scanned documents and pay the examination fee in part 2 of the application process.
As notified by SSC, applicants have to enter Aadhaar number or Aadhaar Enrollment number while filling the application form. Candidates who do not have Aadhaar number or Aadhaar Enrollment number will have to enter ID numbers of Voter ID Card/PAN/Passport/Driving License/School/ College ID/Employer ID or Left Thumb Impression (LTI).
Steps to Fill SSC MTS Application Form?
- Visit the official website, ssc.nic.in
- Click on Apply tab and select the SSC MTS option
- Click on the SSC MTS Apply Online link.
- Read the instructions and complete the SSC MTS application process
- Enter details such as - name, father’s name, gender, mobile number, email id, etc. and press submit
- The SSC MTS registration ID and password will be sent to candidates' registered email ID and mobile number
- Upload the scanned documents
- Pay the SSC MTS application fee.
The SSC MTS application fee is Rs 100 for general and OBC candidates and NIL for reserved category candidates. Candidates are required to apply online for the recruitment exam. Application fees which is Rs 100 for general and OBC categories can be paid either through an online payment gateway or SBI challan. Women, SC, ST, PWD and Ex-Serviceman candidates need not pay any examination fees.
- After the final submission of the SSC MTS application form take a printout of the same for future reference.

Staff Selection Commission Multi Tasking (Non Technical) Staff exam is a recruitment exam conducted to fill in various MTS posts. Candidates looking for tips on how to prepare for the SSC MTS 2023 exam must be familiar with the exam pattern and syllabus to prepare for the exam. Candidates appearing for SSC MTS exam must have a planned strategy and preparation trick for every paper. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) mentioned the exam pattern in the official notification. Candidates planning to appear in the SSC MTS exam must go through the exam pattern to prepare and score better. The exam pattern comprises the stages, subjects on which the question paper will be based, marking scheme, time duration of the exam.
As per the exam pattern, the SSC MTS exam consists of Computer Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) (only for the post of Havaldar).
The SSC MTS exam for CBE will consist of objective type, multiple choice questions and it will be conducted in Hindi, English and in 13 regional languages such as Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urd.
As per the SSC MTS exam pattern 2023, The CBE will be conducted in two sessions, Session-I and Session-II. There is no negative marking in session-I. However, in Session-II, there will be a negative marking of one mark for each wrong answer. It is mandatory to attempt both sessions. If not attempting any session will disqualify the candidate.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has started issuing the SSC MTS 2023 admit card tier 1 from August 25 on the concerned regional official websites. SSC MTS Admit Card - Paper 1
SSC MTS admit card of Paper I 2023 is released online by SSC on the official website. Candidates can log in with their registration id or roll number and date of birth to download the admit card. The date, time, details of the exam centre and exam day guidelines are mentioned on the admit card. Candidates have to carry one photo-identity proof and three passport-sized photographs to the exam centre along with SSC MTS admit card.

The authorities released the provisional SSC MTS answer key 2023 for paper 1 on September 17 on the official website. Along with the answer key, candidates’ response sheets have also been released by the Commission. Both the SSC MTS 2023 answer key and response sheet are available online at ssc.nic.in.
Candidates have to log in with their user ID and password to download the answer key. Using the answer key, candidates can check the correct answers to questions asked in the exam. While checking the answer key, candidates can raise objections if they find any answer option or questions incorrect till September 20, 2023. For submission of the objection, candidates will have to pay Rs 100 per answer.
The authorities will declare the SSC MTS 2023 result for paper 1 on the official website. SSC MTS 2023 result is declared in two stages – Tier I, Tier II and final selection. First, the commission announces SSC MTS Result 2023 for Tier I followed by the declaration of the result of Tier II and final selection. On the basis of SSC MTS Result of Tier I, candidates will be selected for Tier II.
Candidates qualifying the Tier II will be called for document verification. The final result will be declared based on candidates’ performance in Tier I provided they have qualified Tier II. The result for all the stages will be available online. The result will contain the roll numbers of qualified candidates. The marks of both qualified and non-qualified candidates will be released a few days after the declaration of result.
The cut off of SSC MTS is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates have to score to qualify the exam and become eligible for the next round of selection process. SSC announces cut off for Tier I, II, document verification and final selection. SSC MTS cut off is announced in the form of marks for different categories. On the basis of SSC MTS cutoff of Tier I, candidates will be selected for Tier II.
On the basis of SSC MTS cutoff of Tier I, candidates will be selected for Tier II. SSC will fix a qualifying cut off for Tier II. SSC MTS cut off of document verification will be determined based on Paper I, number of vacancies and preferences of the posts applied. The final allotment cut off of SSC MTS is decided based on the total marks obtained by last selected candidates in Paper I.
SSC mentioned the MTS selection process in the official notification. Candidates preparing for the SSC MTS 2023 exam must check the selection process to know the stages of the exam. As per the SSC MTS selection process, the recruitment process comprises two stages Computer Based Examination (CBE) and PET/PST. As of January 1, 2022, the candidate must have passed the matriculation or an equivalent exam from a recognised board, according to SSC MTS Eligibility. A candidate is not eligible to apply if they do not pass the qualifying exam before the deadline for receiving application forms.
So, only required criteria is to pass the exam. When you pass the exam then you are eligible to apply.
