SBI PO Exam Pattern 2020 - Stage II

As per the SBI PO 2020 exam pattern, mains stage consists of an objective test for 200 marks and a descriptive test of 50 marks. Both the tests as per the SBI PO 2020 exam pattern are conducted in online mode. The objective test comprises 4 sections with seperate time duration for each section. According to SBI PO 2020 exam pattern the descriptive test is conducted for 30 minutes duration with two questions for 50 marks. A letter and an essay is required to be typed in english in the descriptive test of SBI PO.

SBI PO Exam Pattern 2020 - Stage III

Candidates qualifying the SBI PO mains examination, according to SBI PO 2020 exam pattern, will have to undergo group exercise and interview. The group exercise and interview is conducted for 20 and 30 marks respectively. It is to be noted that the marks secured in preliminary exam will not be added for preparation of final merit list. The final selection in SBI PO is done on the basis of marks obtained in mains examination and group exercises & interview.

SBI PO Marking Scheme 2020

Candidate needs to be acquainted with the marking scheme for each phase of SBI PO.

  1. Preliminary Exam: As per the SBI PO 2020 exam pattern, candidates must score sufficiently high marks to qualify for the next stage. This stage consists of Reasoning Ability, English Language and Quantitative Aptitude. One-fourth marks will be deducted as negative marks for wrong answers.

  2. Mains Phase: Objective test will consist of four sections for 200 marks according to SBI PO exam pattern. Candidates who successfully qualify this section will qualify for the checking of the descriptive test. The descriptive test evaluates a candidate’s ability in letter writing and essay writing. The total marks for this section will be 50.

Calculation of Marks: Total weighted score = Scores obtained in ( Reasoning & computer aptitude+data interpretation+general/ economy/banking awareness + English language)

  1. Group Exercise/Personal Interview Phase: After clearing the second phase, the candidate will be called for group discussions and interview. This phase will be evaluated on the basis of group discussion and interview. Group discussion will be of 20 marks and interview of 30 marks.

  2. Candidates will be shortlisted finally and called for recruitment in various branches of State Bank of India all over India.

Hello,

You are eligible for SBI PO exams only if you clear your subjects as there should not be any backlogs and you should complete them during your graduation  if you want to apply for these exams . You need to have a degree to apply . However 4th year students are eligible to apply for SBI PO exams .

Rama, for being eligible for SBI PO, you need to be between 21 to 30 years . There is an age relaxation for Reserved Categories. If you are 20 years, you should turn 21 at least by April 1st, 2020. If you do not turn 21 by 1st April 2020, you might not be eligible for SBI PO.

But for IBPS PO, the minimum age limit is 20 years and so you qualify for appearing for IBPS exam. Regarding you studying our Final year graduation, Graduates with a Bachelor's degree in any discipline are eligible for both SBI PO and IBPS PO. And those who are appearing for their final year exams are also eligible. But their recruitment is subjective to fulfillment of the eligibility criteria required.

In short, you have to wait for SBI PO until next year but can appear for IBPS PO this year.

As you are 20 now and the required age is 21 so for now you cannot apply for SBI exam. Now you have to wait for 1 year and so that for this time you can prepare more better for your 1st attempt.
