Candidates must enter their registration or roll number and date of birth to download and print their admit card. The last date to download CDS (I) 2020 admit card is February 2. Only those candidates who have successfully filled the application form are eligible to download the CDS 2020 admit card after its release. Highlights of CDS Admit Card

  • After UPSC has released the admit card of CDS (I), candidates must download it, check the details and ensure they are correct.
  • The name of the candidate may in some cases be abbreviated especially if it is too long.
  • They must carry a valid photo Id with them to the exam centre as well as a black ball point pen along with the CDS admit card.
  • Candidates can only print the CDS admit card (I) 2020 till February 2 after which the link will be deactivated.
  • In case the photo in the downloaded admit card is not clear, candidates must carry 3 photographs to be submitted to the invigilator. This will be considered as provisional only.
  • It is advisable to keep the admit card safe till the entire CDS selection process is complete.
  • If candidates are unable to download their e-admit card at least three weeks before the exam, they must intimate UPSC either in person or via phone.

CDS 2020 will be held twice by UPSC. CDS (I) will be held on February 02 and CDS (II) on November 08. CDS (II) 2020 notification will be released on August 05, 2020, in online mode. Combined Defense Services (CDS) exam is for recruitment of candidates as commissioned officers in the Indian Military Academy, Indian Air Force Academy, Indian Naval Academy, and Officers Training Academy. Candidates who qualify CDS 2020 exam will be eligible to appear for SSB Interview.

How to Download CDS Admit Card 2020?

Candidates who have submitted the application form can download admit card of CDS 2020 from the official website. Candidates can download the CDS 2020 admit card with the help of the steps mentioned underneath with images.

Step 2: After clicking the direct link of CDS admit card 2020, a login page will appear. Select either registration number or roll number to login.cdsStep 3: To Download CDS 2020 admit card, click on the "By Registration ID" enter the registration ID along with the date of birth and the captcha code. Documents to carry with CDS 2020 Admit Card

Candidates are required to carry the following documents along with their CDS admit card:

  • Passport size color photograph (same as the one used in CDS 2020 application form)

  • Valid photo ID like Aadhar, Voter ID, Passport, School Identity Card/ PAN Card/ Driving License/ Ration Card - this should be the one uploaded with the application form and in original

  • Black ballpoint pen to mark the answers on the OMR sheet. This is also written in the admit card.

How to rectify discrepancies in CDS Admit Card 2020?

Candidates need to check and verify all the details mentioned in their admit card of CDS 2020. The photograph and signature uploaded by the candidate during the application form should be clearly visible in the admit card.

In case there are any discrepancies in the CDS admit card, candidates must contact UPSC on the address mentioned below by sending an email with screenshot/photo of the discrepancies. CDS Admit Card 2020 Guidelines

  • Only use the latest version of Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox Browser to download the admit card of CDS.

  • Mobile downloaded CDS 2020 admit card is not permissible.

  • If candidates are unable to download their admit card, they should clear the browser history and cookies.

  • In case of candidates being blocked dur to repetitive downloading, they should contact UPSC administrator immediately via email to web-upsc@nic.in to get the unblocked.

CDS 2020 Exam Day Instructions

Candidates should follow these instructions while appearing for the CDS 2020 exam:

  • Carry CDS admit card with valid photo ID proof.

  • Reach the exam centre at least an hour before the exam starts.

  • If possible, visit the exam centre before the exam day to have a proper idea of the route and traffic. This will help in planning the conveyance and transport on the exam day and will save time and last-minute rush.

  • Bring all the necessary items needed to be carried to the exam centre.

  • Don’t bring any prohibited items like Electronic gadgets/ devices, calculators, handbags, purses, costly/valuable items, any kind of paper, eatables/ snacks and tea/coffee/ cold drinks/ water (loose or packed), mobile phone/ earphone/ microphone/pager, camera, tape recorder and any metallic item to the exam centre.

  • Don’t indulge in any unfair means during the exam.

  • Keep the CDS 2020 admit card safe till the complete selection process is over.

Last-minute preparation tips for CDS 2020

  • Revise all the formulas of Mathematics

  • Don’t go for an entirely new topic, just revise the previous ones

  • Make sure you mark the answers on the OMR sheet in the right circle. If wrong marked, it will be understood as a wrong answer and you’ll get a penalty of the negative mark

  • Many people leave the answers to mark in end, avoid doing it.

  • If you get stuck in a question, don't waste your time on it and move ahead to the next question.

  • Read the long questions twice before approaching to answer them to avoid silly mistakes.

  • Just give your best before and don't worry about the result. Believe in yourself and you will surely crack CDS.

What after CDS 2020 Exam?

The next stage after the exam is the CDS Result 2020. The CDS result will be announced in April with the release of a merit list of candidates who have been selected for the next stage which is the SSB interview. The final result of CDS 2020 will be announced in November with the list of candidates who have cleared the written and SSB interview. Candidates will be able to download the result on the official website as soon as it is released.

Yes, you are eligible for the CDS( Combined Defence Services ) exam as the basic eligibility to appear for this exam is to have graduation in any discipline with 50% marks in it.
However, under this exam , there are academies and it has different qualifications required as Air Force or Navy demands of having mainly engineering branch while in OTA and IMA ,you can go with any desirable course.

There is no boundaries in your subjects. If you are graduated from a recognized university then it is enough for CDS. For some fields engineering is compulsory. You can check details here

Yes, you are eligible to appear in CDS. But you are only eligible to join Indian Military Academy(IMA), Airforce Academy(AFA), officer's training academy(OTA) as the eligibility criteria to join in any of these academy is that a candidate must have passed bachelor's degree.For Indian Naval Academy a candidate must have passed bachelor's in Engineering.
