AFCAT Result 2019 - Indian Air Force (IAF) has released AFACT 2019 result for the written test on September 17, 2019. AFCAT result 2019 has been released in online mode at afcat.cdac.in. Candidates can check their result of AFCAT by using their email ID and password. AFCAT 2019 result contains registration number, name and qualifying status of the candidates. All those candidates who have qualified in the AFACT exam will now have to appear for the AFSB Interview which will be conducted from October 21, 2019. Shortlisted applicants can choose AFSB centres for interview and SSB tests by logging in to their account from September 17 (17:00 hrs) to September 22 (23:00 hrs). The final result of AFCAT will be declared after the completion of AFSB interview. Based on final AFCAT result 2019, candidates will be selected for admission to flying and ground duty (technical and non-technical) branches.

AFCAT 2019 result has been declared online by IAF. The steps to check AFCAT 2019 result has been provided below.

The final AFCAT 2019 is declared after the completion of SSB Interview. The result is prepared based on aggregate scores of candidates secured in the online test and SSB interview. For candidates who have opted for Ground Duty Technical branch, marks secured in EKT is also be calculated while preparing the final result.
The result of AFCAT online test has been announced as qualifying status of candidates. However, the detailed result containing the cutoff and marks secured by candidates will be released later on the website. As per the qualifying status, candidates securing more than or equal to the cut off of AFCAT are shortlisted for AFSB Interview. Candidates choosing Ground Duty Technical branch had to appear for an additional test, EKT conducted for 150 marks. For candidates from technical branch, marks obtained in both online test and EKT are calculated while preparing AFCAT 2019 result for online test.
On the basis of AFCAT result for online exam determined by IAF, candidates will be selected to appear for AFSB interview. The interview was held at the four Air Force Selection Boards (AFSB) – Dehradun, Mysore, Gandhinagar and Varanasi. Candidates selected for SSB Interview must select AFSB venue and date as per preference after which call letter for interview will be issued. SSB Interview is held in three stages - Officer Intelligence Rating Test along with Picture Perception and discussion test, Psychological test and Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS). CPSS is applicable for candidates who have applied for flying branch.
After the declaration of AFCAT 2019 result for the online test, candidates selected for SSB Interview have to select venue and timing of exam by logging in to their account as per preference. Candidates shortlisted in the online exam (and EKT for Ground Duty Technical branch) were subjected to further testing and interview rounds at any one of Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs) available at Dehradun, Mysore, Gandhinagar and Varanasi. After the conduct of interview, IAF prepares a final result based on the aggregate score of candidates in the online test and SSB Interview.
The scores of candidates are calculated on the basis of the method provided below:
• Candidates will be allotted three marks for every correct response
• One mark will be deducted for wrong answers
• For unattempted questions, no marks will be negated or awarded

Total score = Number of correct responses x 3 – Number of incorrect responses x 1
Indian Air Force will determine the cut off of AFCAT 2019. AFCAT cut off is the least number of marks that candidates must secure to be selected for next stage of the exam. On the basis of cut off for the online exam, candidates will be shortlisted to appear for SSB Interview. The final cut off will be declared after the conclusion of AFSB/ SSB Interview. AFCAT cut off of previous years have been provided in the table below.

In case candidate forgets the password, they can apply for a fresh one by clicking on ‘forgot password’ option.
If you are not being able to check your result, it may be due to the following reasons:
1. The usersame/ password entered by candidate is incorrect. If such is the case, they should try to enter both correctly.
2. Internet connection is slow. In such cases, candidates should retry after a while when network speed is fast.
3. The site has crashed due to heavy traffic. During such instances, check again after a few minutes.
Candidates shortlisted for AFSB interview should click on ‘Generate Admit Card’. After receiving admit card, candidates should opt for AFSB centres and interview dates as per preference. Seats in each centre on a particular date are limited and will be assigned on first come first serve basis.
Once candidates have selected SSB Interview venue, Indian Air Force (IAF) will not entertain changes in AFSB interview timing and venue. Therefore, candidates must be careful while choosing exam venue and date.

You can give AFCAT examination conducted twice a year for the Flying officer in Indian Air Force if you have a technical background that is BTECH/BE. The exam is conducted in August(AFCAT-2) and January(AFCAT-1). The form is available a month prior to the exam.
The AFCAT has GK, VERBAL, MATHEMATICS(QUANTITATIVE) and REASONING(LOGICAL). Students who clear the cutoff are required to clear the SSB.
