Stages of SSC CGL Result 2020

SSC CGL Result 2020 For Tier-1

Exam conducting authorities will declare CGL tier 1 result for those candidates who score the cutoff as per their category. On the basis of the result for tier 1 exam, candidates will be selected for SSC CGL tier-II exam. As the tier-I exam of SSC CGL 2020 will be conducted in multiple shifts, hence the marks of candidates will be normalised to adjust the difficulty level of the exam. SSC CGL Tier 1 result 2020 will be declared on the basis of normalised marks in the exam.

How To Calculate SSC CGL 2020 Tier-1 Score?

The following procedure will be adopted to calculate the marks of candidates.

1: 2 x Number of correct answers

2: 0.5 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer

3: Calculate marks of correct and incorrect answers out of 200 total marks

SSC CGL Tier 2 Result 2020

The SSC CGL tier-II comprises four papers. Paper 1 of Quantitative Abilities while paper 2 is of English Language. Paper 1 and 2 is common for all posts. Paper 3 and 4 are Statistics and General Studies (Finance and Economics) respectively. Paper III is for Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) and Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer posts. Marks obtained by candidates will be normalised to declare CGL result 2020 of tier 2. Marks obtained in tier-1 and 2 and cut off will be considered to decide the eligibility of candidates to appear in tier 3 exam.

SSC CGL Tier 3 and 4 Result

Tier- 3 exam of SSC CGL is a descriptive test conducted in pen and paper mode. Candidates' score in CGL tier-III will be calculated out of 100 marks. Applicants who score minimum qualifying marks in tier 3 exam will be eligible to appear in Skill Tests. Based on the aggregate performance in Tier-1, 2 & 3 exam , candidates will be shortlisted for skill tests and document verification.

SSC CGL 2020 tier-4 is the Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) test and Data Entry Skill Test (DEST). These skill tests are of qualifying nature. If candidates do not appear in a skill test or fail to qualify then they will not be eligible for posts where CPT and DEST will be required.

SSC CGL Final Result & Merit List

  • SSC CGL final result/merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in tier-1, 2 and 3 exam.

  • Candidates from SC, ST, OBC, ExS and PwD categories selected on their merit without relaxed standards, will not be adjusted against the reserved vacancies.

  • Candidates from above mentioned categories will be accommodated against the general vacancies as per their position in the overall merit list of SSC CGL.

  • SC, ST, OBC, ExS and PwD candidates qualify on the basis of relaxed standards like age limit, experience or qualifications, permitted number of chances, extended zone of consideration, etc. Hence their merit will only be counted against the reserved vacancies.

  • Candidates from these categories can be recommended at the relaxed standards as per the number of vacancies available for them, to fill the deficiency in the reserved quota irrespective of their rank in the SSC CGL 2020 merit list.

SSC CGL Result 2020- Resolution of Tie

In the event of tie while declaring the result of SSC CGL tier wise, the committee will use a tie-breaking rule in order to determine the merit of the applicants.

Rules for resolution of tie in CGL Result -

  • Total marks obtained by the candidates in Tier 2 Exam

  • If Tie still persists then - total marks obtained in Tier-3 stage.

  • Further- Total marks obtained in Tier 1 Exam.

  • If tie still persists then candidates older in age will be given preference in selection.

  • If tie still persists, alphabetical order in which the first name of the candidates appear will be given preference over others.

Your marks cannot be predicted on the basis of the number of questions to attempt, firstly I will suggest you to wait for the release of official answer key  then you can probably crosscheck the number of correct  answers and can predict your expected score then you can compare it with the past year analysis of cut off which may give you hope for chances.

There is not any individual statistics available for SSC CGL 2020 for AAO post.But there are 6000 vacancies approximately this year and in 2018 a total of 4,24,665 candidates applied for SSC CGL out of which 1,40,386 appeared in the exam on 04/06/2018.And on 06/06/2018 out of 4,00,828 candidates 1,33,796 candidates appeared in the exam.
