GAIL Recruitment Eligibility: The eligibility criteria for GAIL recruitment 2018 depends on the notified posts and vacancies. For example, engineering posts candidates have B.Tech/M. Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor Degree with minimum 60% marks and Two years MBA/ MSW with specialization in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations/ Human Resources

  • Management with minimum 65% marks

  • Bachelor Degree with minimum 60% marks and Two Years Master Degree/ Two years

  • PG Diploma in Personnel Management/ Personnel Management & Industrial Relations with minimum 65% marks

  • Preference will be given to candidates having the additional qualification of Bachelor Degree in Law (Professional)


Work Experience

  • Minimum 12 (Twelve) years post qualification executive in line experience in various HR functions (including experience as GET/ ET/ MT) in State/ Central Government

  • Department(s)/ Institution(s)/ Undertaking(s) and/ or Large Private Sector

  • Organizations/ Institutions/ Company, as an employee of that Organization

  • Preference will be given to candidates having worked as a Head of HR department in a plant setup. Candidates should have an in-depth knowledge of Labour Laws and hands-on experience in dealing with Industrial Relations, Disciplinary Matters, Contract Labour

  • Management, Participation in Conciliation/ adjudication matters etc. Preference would also be given to candidates having inline executive experience in Oil and Gas / Petrochemical Industry.

  • Candidates working in Government/ Public Sector Undertaking must have minimum one-year experience in the next lower pay scale or next lower equivalent pay scale

GAIL Recruitment Eligibility Executive Trainee:

Bachelor Degree in Engineering in Instrumentation/ Instrumentation & Control/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Electrical & Instrumentation/ Electronics/ Electrical & Electronics with minimum 65% Marks.

  • Only full-time regular courses will be considered for GAIL recruitment 2018

  • All qualifications must be from UGC recognized Indian University / UGC recognized Indian Deemed University or AICTE approved courses from Autonomous Indian Institutions / concerned statutory council (wherever applicable). Diploma in Engineering qualification (if applicable) should be recognized by the respective State Board of Technical Education.

  • Minimum percentage of marks in the essential qualification, as specified shall be considered as per Institute/University rules/norms for GAIL recruitment 

  • Wherever CGPA/OGPA or letter grade in a Degree is awarded, equivalent percentage of marks should be indicated in the application as per norms adopted by University/Institute.

  • GAIL recruitment 2018 candidates should have an engineering degree can be B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc. Engineering  

  • Candidates having 05 years B.E / B. Tech. + M.E / M. Tech. integrated dual degree in engineering in relevant discipline shall also be considered for GAIL recruitment 

  • Candidates who have completed their Bachelor degree in Engineering (including 05 years BE/ B Tech + ME/ M Tech integrated dual degree in Engineering) in the year 2018/ Candidates who are currently in the final year (2018-19) of their Engineering Degree course (including 05 years BE/ B Tech + ME/ M Tech integrated dual degree in Engineering course) are eligible to apply for the post of Executive Trainee in E-2 grade in the discipline of Chemical & Instrumentation.

  • Candidates who are currently in the final year (2018-19) of their Engineering Degree course (including 05 years BE/ B Tech + ME/ M Tech integrated dual degree in Engineering course) and belonging to General and OBC (NCL) category must have secured minimum 65% marks in aggregate up to the last semester/ year examination at the time of applying and candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PWD category must have secured minimum 60% marks in aggregate up to the last semester/ year examination at the time of applying.

  • Selection of candidates who are currently in the final year (2018-19) of their Engineering Degree course (including 05 years BE/ B Tech + ME/ M Tech integrated dual degree in Engineering course) will be further subject to obtaining minimum 65% marks in case of General and OBC (NCL) category candidates and minimum 60% marks in case of SC/ ST/ PWD category candidates in their Engineering Degree and submission of Engineering Degree certificate (at least provisional certificate) and mark sheets of all semesters/ years towards documentary proof of having passed the qualifying Engineering Degree examination in relevant discipline/ branch with minimum prescribed percentage of marks as indicated above by 31st August, 2018 for GAIL recruitment 2018

  • Candidates who have completed their Bachelor degree in Engineering (including 05 years BE/ B Tech + ME/ M Tech integrated dual degree in Engineering course) in relevant discipline/ branch in the year 2017 or earlier are not eligible to apply for the post of Executive Trainee in E-2 grade in the discipline of Chemical & Instrumentation for GAIL recruitment 2018

GAIL Recruitment Application Process: 

  • The application for GAIL Recruitment can be done online through the official website of GAIL.

  • While applying for GAIL jobs candidates have to select the relevant vacancy as per their education qualification and work experience. GAIL recruitment application form can be filled online in multiple stages which includes registration, filling up the application form, uploading of images and required documents, payment of requisite, final submission of application form along with taking the printout. 

  • Before filling up the GAIL recruitment application form candidates are advised to carefully read the notification to ascertain their eligibility for the job. Candidates are advised to carefully fill the application form with relevant information because any mistake will lead to cancellation and candidature.  

  • Candidates are advised to deposit the application fee as per their category with the dates specified. The requisite application fee can be deposited either online or offline. The online fee can be paid using net banking/credit/debit card while offline fee can be paid through bank challan of designated bank.
