RBI Assistant Exam Pattern 2020 - Reserve Bank of India (RBI) prescribed the RBI Assistant 2020 exam pattern for all aspiring candidates. The exam pattern of RBI Assistant 2020 contains the stages of exam, sections from where questions will be asked, number of questions, marking scheme, mode and medium of the exam etc. Candidates must go through the RBI Assistant exam pattern 2020 before they start off with the exam preparation. As per RBI Assistant 2020 exam pattern, the exam is held in three stages - prelims, mains, and language proficiency test (LPT). The prelims exam of RBI Assistant is conducted in online mode for a total of 100 questions of 1 mark each wherein questions are asked for three sections - English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. Candidates who pass in prelims have to take mains exam. As per RBI Assistant exam pattern 2020 for mains exam, the test will be conducted for a total of 200 marks. Candidates who pass in the mains exam will have to appear for the LPT.

The mains exam is the second stage in the selection process of RBI Assistant. According to RBI Assistant exam pattern 2020, only those candidates who will pass in the prelims exam will only be able to appear for the mains exam. The exam pattern of RBI Assistant mains exam comprises the following:

  • The mains exam is held in the online mode.

  • The questions are objective type multiple choice.

  • A total of 200 questions of 1 mark each are asked

  • Candidates are given 2 hours and 15 minutes to complete the mains exam.

  • Question from five sections are asked - Reasoning, English Language, Numerical Ability, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge

RBI Assistant Exam Pattern 2020 - Language Proficiency Test (LPT)

The language proficiency test is conducted for those who pass the mains exam of RBI Assistant. The LPT for RBI Assistant is mandatory and no exemption will be provided to any candidate from taking this test . The LPT will be conducted at respective offices of the Bank. The test is qualifying in nature and is conducted in the Official/Local Language of the State concerned. However, candidates who fail to qualify the LPT will be declared disqualified in the exam. Don't worry if the transaction is failed and money was cut. It will definitely be returned to your bank account with 7 or above working depending on the bank. If you still worry about it,mail or call to your bank service to know the update. If not,if bank is near better visit and clarify your doubt. But definitely money will be returned.

if your back paper is not cleared until certificate verification then you can't join even you pass through all the process of selection. Don't worry keep checking the result publishing site regularly so that you get details fast. Do that atleast once in a day and it won't harm you anyway.

Greetings !!

We can expect the notification for RBI assistant by the end of December. As RBI Grade B exams are done, we can hope RBI will come up with assistant notification. I suggest you to start preparing well for the examination, so you can clear it in one go. Dedicate at least 5-6 hours daily for your preparation. Practice mocks as much as you can. Revise the concepts. You can definitely clear the exam. If any doubts, pls feel free to ask !

Minimum qualifications for RBI exam

Hi Mahendra,

For RBI Assistant Exam, you need to be between 20 to 28 years of age pls should be a graduate in any discipline with 50% marks. For reserved categories (SC/ST/PWD candidates), they just need to pass graduation in any discipline. Knowledge of word processing on PC is required too.

Candidates applying for post in a particular recruiting office should be proficient in the language (to read, write, speak and understand the language) of the state/ any of the states falling under the recruiting office.
