About RBI Assistant 2019

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the result of the preliminary exams on March 03, 2020 in online mode. Earlier, RBI released the notification and application form of RBI Assistant on December 23, 2019, in online mode for 926 vacancies. The last date to fill the application form and pay the application fee of RBI assistant was January 16, 2020. The last date to print the application form of RBI Assistant was January 31, 2020. Applicants before filling the application form should also check the eligibility criteria of the exam. Candidates who are between 20 to 28 years of age and hold a graduation degree with at least 50% marks can fill the application form of RBI Assistant in online mode. The exam of RBI Assistant will be conducted in three phases - preliminary, and mains exam which will be followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT). The prelims phase exam of RBI Assistant was held on February 14 and 15, 2020 in online mode. RBI Assistant exam was conducted in various shifts at different locations across India. All those candidates who qualify in the prelims can only appear for the next stage which is the mains examination. Candidates who are selected provisionally in the mains exam have to further appear for the Language Proficiency Test (LPT). The final selection is done based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the mains examination and the LPT.

RBI Assistant 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet certain eligibility criteria in order to appear for the RBI Assistant exam. The eligibility criteria are thus determined by RBI taking into consideration the age and educational qualification of the candidates. Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria of RBI Assistant so that they do not face any rejection in the later stage of the selection process.

Candidates must not be less than 20 years and more than 28 years of age.

However, there are age relaxations given to the candidates who belongs from reserved categories.

RBI Assistant Eligibility Criteria – Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks (in case of SC/ST/PWD, candidates just need to pass) and must be acquainted with word processing on PC.
  • Candidates who are Ex-Servicemen, must be a graduate from a recognized University or must have passed the metrication or any equivalent exam of Armed Forces and served at least 15 years in the defence services.
  • Must have proficiency in the language of the state under the office of recruitment which means the candidate must know to understand, speak, and write the language.

RBI has released RBI Assistant application in online mode on December 23, 2019. Last date to fill application form of RBI Assistant is January 16, 2020. The candidate who meets the eligibility criteria can fill the application form of RBI Assistant along with the payment of application fees within the dates mentioned in the exam brochure. Candidates can also make corrections/modifications in the details filled in the application form in case of any error before final submission. Candidates must also take a printout of the application form and application fee receipt generated by the system and keep it with themselves for future references.

RBI Assistant Language Proficiency Test Exam Pattern

  •  All the candidates who qualify the mains examination will be eligible to take the Language Proficiency Test.
  • The LPT for RBI Assistant is conducted in the Official/Local language of the state concerned. 

  • Candidates who do not qualify the LPT is disqualified.

RBI Assistant 2019 Admit Card

RBI Assistant Preliminary Exam Admit Card

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) issues separate admit cards for both the phases – prelims and mains. RBI Assistant admit card for preliminary exam has been released on February 3 for only those candidates who have successfully filled the application form. Candidates can download their admit card of RBI Assistant 2019 by filling in the details like roll number/registration number and DOB/Password. Candidates must get the admit card printed and bring it to the exam centre on the day of RBI Assistant examination. Candidates must take a print out of the admit card and carry it along with themselves at the exam centre on the day of examination. It is important that candidates must also carry one of their identity proofs along with the admit card of prelims exam of RBI Assistant. No candidate will be allowed in the examination hall without the admit card of RBI Assistant.

RBI Assistant Mains Exam Admit Card

RBI Assistant Mains admit card will be issued to only those candidates who have qualified in the preliminary examination of the RBI Assistant. To download the admit card of mains examination of RBI Assistant, candidates must visit the official website, click on the admit card link and fill in the details like registration/roll number and date of birth/password. The admit card will appear on the screen in PDF format. Candidates can download the PDF and take the print out of the RBI Assistant admit card for mains examination. Candidates need to carry the admit card of RBI Assistant mains exam at the mains exam centre along with the required document of identification which includes anyone of the ID proofs. Candidates will not be able to enter the examination hall if they fail to bring the admit card of RBI Assistant mains examination at the exam centre on the day of examination.

RBI Assistant Preliminary Exam Result

The result of RBI Assistant is declared in three phases – Prelims, Mains and Language Proficiency test in online mode. Candidates can check their results by clicking on the official website of the exam conducting authority and entering their respective roll number/registration number and password/date of birth. For each session, the marks scored by the candidates in both prelims and mains exam will be normalized and the result will be declared based on this normalized score.

RBI Assistant mains stage result will be declared in online mode. Candidates can check their RBI Assistant 2019 mains stage results by visiting official website and entering their respective roll number/registration number and password/date of birth. For each session, RBI Assistant mains exam marks will be normalized and the result will be declared based on this normalized score. Candidates need to secure both overall and sectional qualifying marks as per their category. All those candidates who qualify the mains examination will be called for Language Proficiency test. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of candidates performance in both mains exam and Language Proficiency test.

RBI Assistant 2019 Cutoff

RBI Assistant Preliminary Exam Cutoff

RBI Assistant cut off for prelims exam is released by RBI along with the declaration of the result. Cut off of RBI Assistant is the minimum marks that a candidate must score to be eligible for next round of selection process. In order to qualify the prelims exam candidates must secure region-wise/category-wise and sectional cutoff in each stage of the RBI Assistant selection process. The final result will be declared on the basis of the cut off score of each stage of RBI Assistant exam

RBI Assistant Mains Exam Cutoff

RBI Assistant mains cut off will be released by RBI after the declaration of the result. The cut off of RBI Assistant 2019 will be released in PDF format. RBI Assistant cut off is minimum qualifying marks that a candidate need to score in order to be eligible for next round of selection process. In order to qualify the mains stage candidates must secure the sectional cut off in each stage of the RBI Assistant selection process. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the cut off score secured in mains stage of RBI Assistant exam.

Reserve Bank of India released the selection procedure of RBI Assistant 2019 in official notification. Stage of selection process is mentioned below

1. Prelims - 100 Questions- 100 Marks

2. Mains - 200 Questions- 200 Marks

3. Language Proficiency Test (LPT)

Candidates who qualify the prelims stage will have to appear in mains stage of exam. Those qualify the mains satges of recruitment will be invited to appear in Language Proficiency Test (LPT) exam.

Don't worry if the transaction is failed and money was cut. It will definitely be returned to your bank account with 7 or above working depending on the bank. If you still worry about it,mail or call to your bank service to know the update. If not,if bank is near better visit and clarify your doubt. But definitely money will be returned.

Hello,

if your back paper is not cleared until certificate verification then you can't join even you pass through all the process of selection. Don't worry keep checking the result publishing site regularly so that you get details fast. Do that atleast once in a day and it won't harm you anyway.

Greetings !!

We can expect the notification for RBI assistant by the end of December. As RBI Grade B exams are done, we can hope RBI will come up with assistant notification. I suggest you to start preparing well for the examination, so you can clear it in one go. Dedicate at least 5-6 hours daily for your preparation. Practice mocks as much as you can. Revise the concepts. You can definitely clear the exam. If any doubts, pls feel free to ask !

Minimum qualifications for RBI exam

Hi Mahendra,

For RBI Assistant Exam, you need to be between 20 to 28 years of age pls should be a graduate in any discipline with 50% marks. For reserved categories (SC/ST/PWD candidates), they just need to pass graduation in any discipline. Knowledge of word processing on PC is required too.

Candidates applying for post in a particular recruiting office should be proficient in the language (to read, write, speak and understand the language) of the state/ any of the states falling under the recruiting office.
