TET Exams 2025 - Which exam for govt teacher?
CTET: It is the central-level teacher eligibility test conducted by the Central Board Secondary Examination to recruit professors and teachers in KVS or NVP. This examination is conducted twice a year. Candidates can fill out the application form for CTET as per the CTET eligibility criteria. The exam is conducted for the two papers. Those students who secure cutoff of CTET will get shortlisted for the further recruitment process.
KARNATAKA TET: Centralized Admission Cell (CAC), Bangalore authorized by the Government of Karnataka is responsible for the Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test for the state domicile of Karnataka. Aspiring students with the fluency in local language both in writing and spoken can apply for this examination. After checking the detailed eligibility criteria of KAR TET, candidates can fill out the application form of KAR TET.
MP TET: The state-level teacher eligibility test in Madhya Pradesh is conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board for aspiring students of the teaching field. Candidates will be selected for the primary level or elementary level on the basis of their marks in Paper I and Paper II respectively. Candidates need to visit the official website to fill out the application form for MPTET after going through the eligibility criteria and exam dates of MPTET.
HP TET: Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education conducts the Himachal Pradesh teacher eligibility Test at the state level. Candidates who filled out the application form for HPTET can download the admit card of HPTET. The candidates will get shortlisted on the basis of the cut-off marks of HPTET.
HTET: Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test is the state-level TET exam 2025 conducted by the Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH). HTET exam is conducted for Stage I, Stage II and Stage III which are Primary, Secondary and Senior Secondary levels respectively. It is mandatory to secure the cut-off marks to get shortlisted for the further recruitment process.
Bihar TET: Bihar School Education Board conducts the Teacher Eligibility Test to recruit teachers in the government schools of Bihar. The mode of examination will be offline and candidates have to fill the application form of Bihar TET. The students will get updated exam dates on the official website.
PSTET: Department of School Education, Punjab conducts teacher eligibility tests for aspirants who want to build their careers in the government schools of Punjab. The exam is conducted for Class I to VIII divided into two parts. Paper I for Class I and Paper II for Class VIII. Those candidates who want to apply must fill out the application form of PSTET.
UPTET: This is the state-level eligibility test conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board for candidates aspiring to be teachers in the government schools of Uttar Pradesh. The exam is conducted for the primary level as well as the elementary level. The exam authority will shortlist the candidates on the basis of their performance in the written exam for the paper they applied for.
MAHA TET: The Maharashtra State Council of Examination conducts the MAHA TET examination which is the state-level eligibility test for teachers. Candidates who applied and qualified for this examination will be recruited as government school teachers in Maharashtra. The exam is conducted for two papers. Paper I is for the candidates who are applying for the primary level and Paper II is for the elementary level. The examination is conducted once a year and as per the vacancies available.
REET: Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan (BSER) conducts the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers to determine the eligibility for teachers in the government schools of Rajasthan. The REET exam is conducted for two papers. Paper I is for the candidates who are applying for the primary level and Paper II is for the elementary level. The examination is conducted once a year and as per the vacancies available.
TET Exams 2025: Application Form
To apply for the TET exams 2025, candidates need to fill the application form. The application form requires all the details of candidates like personal details, contact details, and academic details. While filling the application form, it is mandatory to upload the scanned photograph along with the signature. Candidates need to double check before submitting the application form.
The application process will be completed after the payment of the application fees. So it is important to be ready with bank details beforehand to complete the application process without any hassle. The fee can be paid online mode using a credit card/debit card or net banking.

TET Exams 2025: Exam Pattern
The TET 2025 exam pattern for all the government exams for teachers is almost the same for the central as well as state levels. The examination is conducted for the two papers in offline mode. There are 2 papers as per the exam pattern of CTET. Both papers of CTET 2025 will be conducted offline. Both paper-I and II have five sections. However, in paper-II candidates can opt out of Mathematics and Science, and Social Studies and Social Science.
Candidates appearing for Paper I will be selected for the Primary level (Class I to V) and Paper II for the elementary level(Class VI to VIII). TET Exams 2025: Admit Card
The admit card of the Government Exam for Teachers can be downloaded from the official website of the respective government exam. Candidates have to log in with the necessary credentials such as registration number/roll number and password/date of birth. The TET 2025 admit card consists of important details such as name and roll number of candidate, category, gender, day and date of examination, examination venue and important instructions related to the examination.
