A candidate must be an Indian national, according to the IBPS RRB eligibility requirements. Candidates of the following nationalities, in addition to Indians, may fill out the application form:

  • Subject of Nepal or

  • Subject of Bhutan or

  • A Tibetan Refugee who came to India prior to January 1, 1962 with the intention to settle in India or

  • A person of Indian origin who migrated to India from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of settling in India, provided they have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Indian government.

IBPS RRB Eligibility Criteria 2025 - Education Qualification

Candidates applying for the examination must hold the following IBPS RRB qualification:

For the Post of Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager)

  • Candidates must have completed their education with a graduation degree.

  • Candidates with a degree in agriculture, horticulture, forestry, animal husbandry, veterinary science, agricultural engineering, pisciculture, agricultural marketing and cooperation, information technology, management, law, economics, or accounting will be given preference.

  • Proficiency in the local language is required.

  • Desirable: Knowledge of computer

For the Post of Officer Scale-II General Banking Officer (Manager)

  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in any discipline with a minimum aggregate of 50%.

  • Preference will be given to candidates with degrees in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Agricultural Engineering, Veterinary Science, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics, and Accountancy.

For the Post of Officer Scale-II Specialist Officers (Manager)

1) IT Officers

  • Graduation with a minimum of 50% in Electronics, Communication, Computer Science, or Information Technology.

  • Desirable: Certificate in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP, etc.

2) Chartered Accountant - Certified Associate (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India

3) Law Officer - Candidates must have a Law degree with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate

4) Treasury Manager - Chartered Accountant or MBA in Finance

5) Marketing Officer - MBA in Marketing from a recognized university

6) Agricultural Officer - Bachelor's degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Dairy/Animal Husbandry/ Forestry/ Veterinary Science/ Agricultural Engineering/ Pisciculture with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks from a known university or its equivalent.

For the post of Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager)

  • Graduation with a minimum of 50% in any discipline

  • Those with a degree or diploma in banking, finance, marketing, horticulture, agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, agricultural engineering, pisciculture, veterinary science, agricultural marketing and cooperation, information technology, management, law, economics, and accounting will be given preference.

For the post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose)

  • A bachelor's degree in any field is required.

  • RRBs require proficiency in the local language.

  • Desirable: knowledge of computers.
