About HTET 2019

Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) is conducted by the Board of School Education, Haryana (BSEH) to access teacher's eligibility for the appointment as a teacher of Elementary, Secondary & Senior Secondary classes. To appear for HTET 2019 candidates have to apply for HTET 2019 through online mode only. There are three levels in the HTET examination - Level 1 (PRT), Level 2 (TGT) and Level 3 (PGT). HTET Level 1 exam is for the candidates who want to become teachers of 1-5 class, HTET Level 2 is for 6-8 class and HTET Level 3 is for PGT -Lecturers. 

Eligible candidates can appear in any level of exam based on their educational qualification. Candidates will have to score minimum qualifying marks in all the papers to get qualified in the concern examination. There is no restriction on the number of attempts a candidate can take for appearing in HTET 2019.

HTET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

HTET 2019 Eligibility Criteria: Candidates should make sure that they are eligible to appear in the HTET 2019 in order to fill the application form of HTET. 

Age limit: There is no precise age limit to appear for the exam.

Educational Qualification: 

  • Level-1: Primary Teacher (PRT): 

    • Senior Secondary with at least minimum 50% marks or pass in 2-years Diploma in Elementary Education. (or)

    • Senior Secondary with minimum 45% marks or pass in two-years Diploma in Elementary Education. (or)

    • Senior Secondary with at least minimum 50% marks or pass in 4-years Bachelor of Elementary Education. (or)

    • pass or appearing in the final year of 2-years Diploma in Elementary Education.


  • Level-2: Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT): 

    • TGT Social Science:-

      • BA/BCom with minimum 50% marks in Mathematics and 2-years diploma in Elementary Education. (or)

      • BA/BCom with minimum 50% marks in Mathematics and 1-year B.Ed. (or)

      • Senior Secondary with minimum 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor in BSc (Education) (or)

      • Senior Secondary with minimum 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor in B.El.Ed. (or)

      • BSc with minimum 45% marks and one year B.Ed (Special Education).

      • In case of BA/BCom, a combination of at least two subjects with 50% marks from History, Political Science, Economics, Geography, Sociology & Psychology.

      • In case of B.Ed, Social Studies as a teaching subject from a recognized institution.

    • TGT Mathematics:-

      • BA/BSc/BCom with minimum 50% marks in Mathematics and 2-years diploma in Elementary Education. (or)

      • BA/BSc/BCom with minimum 50% marks in Mathematics and 1-year B.Ed. (or)

      • Senior Secondary with minimum 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor in BSc (Education) (or)

      • Senior Secondary with minimum 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor in B.El.Ed. (or)

      • BSc with minimum 45% marks and one year B.Ed (Special Education).

      • In case of B.Ed, Mathematics as a teaching subject from a recognized institution.

    • TGT Science:-

      • pass in BSc and 2-years diploma in Elementary Education. (or)

      • pass in B.Sc with minimum 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed. (or)

      • Senior Secondary with minimum 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor in BSc (Education) (or)

      • Senior Secondary with minimum 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor in B.El.Ed. (or)

      • BSc with minimum 45% marks and one year B.Ed (Special Education).

      • In case of B.Sc, a combination of at least three essential subjects needed from Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology & Mathematics.

      • In case of B.Ed, Social Studies as a teaching subject from a recognized institution.

    • TGT English:-

      • BA with minimum 50% marks in English and 2-years diploma in Elementary Education. (or)

      • BA with minimum 50% marks in English and 1-year B.Ed. (or)

      • Senior Secondary with minimum 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor in BSc (Education) (or)

      • Senior Secondary with minimum 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor in B.El.Ed. (or)

      • BA with minimum 45% marks and one year B.Ed (Special Education).

      • In case of B.Ed, English as a teaching subject from a recognized institution.

    • TGT Hindi:-

      • BA with minimum 50% marks in Hindi and 2-years diploma in Elementary Education. (or)

      • BA with minimum 50% marks in Hindi and 1-year B.Ed. (or)

      • In case of B.Ed, Punjabi as a teaching subject from a recognized institution.

    • TGT Urdu:- 

      • B.A with minimum 50% marks in Urdu and 2-years diploma in Elementary Education. (or)

      • B.A with minimum 50% marks in Urdu and 1-year B.Ed. (or)

      • Senior Secondary with minimum 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor in BSc (Education) (or)

      • Senior Secondary with minimum 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor in B.El.Ed. (or)

      • BA with minimum 45% marks and one year B.Ed (Special Education).

      • In case of B.Ed, Urdu as a teaching subject from a recognized institution.

    • TGT Physical Education:-

      • A Bachelor degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed) or Diploma in Physical Education or equivalent.

    • TGT Home Science:- 

      • B.Sc Home Science with minimum 50% marks and 2-years diploma in Elementary Education. (or)

      • B.Sc Home Science with minimum 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed. (or)

      • Senior Secondary with minimum 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor in BSc (Education) (or)

      • Senior Secondary with minimum 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor in B.El.Ed. (or)

      • B.Sc with minimum 45% marks and one year B.Ed (Special Education).

      • In case of B.Ed, Home Science as a teaching subject from a recognized institution.

      • BA with minimum 50% marks in Music and 2-years diploma in Elementary Education. (or)

      • Senior Secondary with minimum 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor in BSc (Education) (or)

      • Senior Secondary with minimum 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor in B.El.Ed. (or)

      • In case of B.Ed, Music as a teaching subject from a recognized institution.


NOTE: For all Papers, Matric with Sanskrit/Hindi or 10+2/BA/MA with Hindi as one of the subject.

  • Level-3: Post Graduate Teacher (PGT): 

    • He/She should have a Post Graduation degree in B.Ed with 50% marks.

    • Candidates should have pass Matric or Senior Secondary/Graduation/Post Graduation with Hindi/Sanskrit as one of the subjects.

    • PGT Sanskrit:-

      • MA Sanskrit with minimum 50% marks from a recognized University.

    • PGT Biology:-

      • MSc Zoology/Botany/Bio-Science/Bio-Chemistry/Genetics/Micro-Biology/Plant Pathology/Biotechnology/Life Science/Molecular Bio with minimum 50% marks from a state or central recognized University and B.Ed. from a recognized University.

    • PGT Physics:-

      • MSc Physics/Applied Physics/Nuclear Physics/Electronics Physics with minimum 50% marks and B.Ed from a recognized University.

    • PGT Chemistry:-

      • M.Sc. Chemistry or Bio-Chemistry with minimum 50% marks from a state or central recognized University and B.Ed. from a state or central recognized University.

    • PGT Mathematics:- 

      • MA/MSc Mathematics/Applied Mathematics with Mathematics as one of the subject at Graduation level with at least 50% marks from a recognized University and also B.Ed from a recognized University.
    • PGT Commerce:-

      • M.Com with accounting/Cost accounting/financial accounting as a major subject of study with minimum 50% marks and B.Ed. from a recognized University. MCom in applied/Business Economics shall not be eligible.

    • PGT Economics:-

      • MA Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics with minimum 50% marks and B.Ed from a recognized University.

    • PGT Music:-

      • M.A Music with minimum 50% marks and B.Ed from a recognized University.

    • PGT Fine Arts:-

      • M.A. Fine Arts with minimum 50% marks and B.Ed from a recognized University.

    • PGT Computer Science:- 

      • MSc Computer Science/MCA/BE/B.Tech Computer Science/Computer Engineering/IT (Regular course) with 55% marks from a recognized University.

    • PGT Physical Education:-

      • M.A Physical Education or M.P.Ed with minimum 50% marks or Diploma in Physical Education (D.P.Ed) or equivalent. From a recognized University.

HTET 2019 Application Details: The application form of HTET 2019 was released online on November 20. Candidates who fulfilled the eligibility criteria of HTET 2019 could fill the online application form. Applicants needed to provide their Aadhaar Number while filling up the HTET application form 2019. The HTET 2019 exam was conducted in offline mode (pen and paper) on January 5 and 6. The application fees had to be submitted in online mode along with submission of HTET 2019 application form.

  • Candidates had to open the HTET 2019 registration page by using the link below.

  • Candidates had to enter the personal basic details like,

    • Residential address

    • Date of Birth

  • After filling the basic details, candidates had to upload the photograph and signature in the prescribed format.

  • Exam Pattern and Syllabus: The Candidate has a few strengths and a few weaknesses. What it needs for a good preparation strategy is to identify your strengths and weaknesses in order to utilize your strengths and improve your weaknesses.

HTET 2019 Admit Card

 HTET 2019 Admit Card: The BSEH  released the admit card in online mode on the official website on December 24, 2018. HTET admit card was not be sent by post or any other modes. Candidates could use their registration number and password to download the admit card from the website. HTET admit card mentioned important particular details Name, roll number, exam centre address, date and time of the examination, photograph, and signature. So the candidates needed to check the details in the admit card. In case of any discrepancy, candidates should contact the  Examination Board by [email protected] or mobile-01664254646 for the corrections. 

If the roll number of candidate is not uploaded on the website, he/she must approach the Special examination branch, BSEH before the exam date. Documents needed while the candidates visiting the BSEH,

  • Photocopy of the computer generated application form (confirmation page)

  • A copy of the payment receipt

  • Attested copy of 10th class or Secondary examination.

  • Two copies of the photograph.

BSEH has uploaded the answer key on the website after the completion of the examination. HTET answer key 2019 is available separately for all set of question papers (SET A, B, C & D). From the HTET 2019 Answer Key, candidates can get the correct answer for the concern question in section wise (Part I, II, III & IV). Candidates can download the answer keys as PDF file for PRT, TGT and PGT.

Candidates can check their result of HTET by entering their login credentials. The result is expected to declared in February 2019 in online mode.  The candidates who acquire the minimum qualifying score will be declared qualified but the eligibility certificate will be issued to only those who procure the cutoff score.

  • The result will be displayed on the screen.

Candidates will know the minimum qualifying score based on their communal category. If the candidates got the prescribed qualifying marks,  they will be declared as qualified in the HTET and a certificate will be issued in their name. The certificate will be valid for five years. Check the previous year minimum qualifying marks as prescribed by BSEH.
