Latest: The CTET application form 2020 has been released on January 24, 2020. CTET application fee increased from Rs. 750 to Rs. 1000.
CTET 2020 exam was conducted on December 8 in offline mode. The test was held for paper I and II. Paper I is conducted for those who wish to become teachers of classes 1 to 5 while paper II is held for those who wish to become teachers for classes 6 to 8. Importance of CTET Question Papers 2020

There are various strategies that the candidates follow to prepare for the examination. Candidates also go through the previous years question papers of CTET 2020 in order to prepare for the examination. CTET 2020 question papers can be very beneficial for the candidates while preparation. By referring to the previous year question papers of CTET, candidates can understand the CTET Exam Pattern and the type of questions expected to come in the test, marking scheme etc.

CTET 2020 Question Papers - Primary Stage

According to CTET Pattern, the question papers for the primary stage contains questions from the following sections:

  • Language I

  • Language II

  • Mathematics

  • Environmental Science

  • Child Development and Pedagogy

There are 30 questions asked from each section carrying 30 marks each. Candidates get 2 hours 30 minutes to complete the primary stage of the CTET exam 2020.

CTET Question Paper 2020 - Elementary Stage

As per the exam pattern of CTET, the question paper for the elementary stage contained question from the following sections:

  • Language I

  • Language II

  • Child Development & Pedagogy

  • Mathematics and Science (for Mathematics and Science teacher)

  • Social Studies/Social Science (for Social Studies/Social Science teacher)

The language I, Language II, Child Development and Pedagogy sections have 30 questions each, while Mathematics and Science, Social Studies/Social Sciences carry a weightage of 60 questions each. Candidates get 2 hours 30 minutes to complete the elementary stage of CTET exam 2020.


CTET Answer Key 2020

The exam conducting authority releases the official answer key of CTET 2020 for papers - paper I and II in PDF format. Candidate can go through CTET answer key to know the correct answers of all the questions asked in the exam. In case of discrepancy in the answer key, candidates can also raise objections. To raise objections in the answer key of CTET, candidates can go through a answer key challenge window which is released by the examination authority few days after the release of answer key. After the scrutinisation of the answer key, the authority releases the CTET final answer key on the basis of which the result is announced.

CTET Result 2020

CBSE will announce the result of CTET 2020 in the form of login. Candidates must use their login credentials - roll numbers to check their respective result of 2020 CTET. The result of CTET will be announced for both papers - paper I and II. Only those candidates will be able to make it through the CTET result who will score the minimum required qualifying marks.

What is the validity period of CTET certificate?

Dear aspirant,


There are two criteria under which a CTET certificate is valid:

  • Candidates must score a minimum of 60% score.
  • The certificate is utmost valid for seven years from the date of declaration of examination.

P.S. : There is no restriction on a number of attempts and also CTET qualified person can appear to the exam for improving his/her score.

I made a mistake in ctet application form by choosing wrong exam city. How to change?

Dear Anchal,

Once the application form is submitted, no further changes are permissible unless authorized by the exam conducting authority i.e. CBSE. For complete clarification, candidates can refer to the Information Bulletin which will be released by CBSE January 24, 2020. This Information Bulletin will contain all the details of examination, languages, syllabus,  eligibility criteria, important dates, examination fee and examination cities etc. Candidates can fill the application form of CTET 2020 from January 24, 2020.

The fees have been submitted in Bank for CTET, but still showing Fee not received. What to do

Hello, if the amount is deducted from your account and confirmation page is not generated the you should contact the exam conducting authorities. However, if the amount is not deducted from your account then candidates can login again to pay fee of CTET application form 2020 .

How to correct error in my CTET application form?

CBSE provides correction window for CTET Application Form on its official website. Candidates are allowed to make corrections in some particular details like name, father and mother name, date of birth, category, differently abled category, Paper opted (i.e. Paper I or CTET - DECEMBER-2019 4 Paper II), Subject for Paper II, First choice of Centre, language I and/or II opted, Address of correspondence and the name of the Institution/College/University from where he/she has obtained his/her B.Ed Degree/Diploma in Elementary Education etc. Candidates also need to pay online correction fee in online mode. After this conducting authorities will release CTET admit card for all candidates who successfully filled the application form.

In case you have forgotten your registration number, you can retrieve your registration ID by clicking on the “Forgot Registration Number” link and entering the particulars like father’s name, mother’s name and date of birth. Click on CTET Application Form to know more about recovering CTET Application Number, password, registration number etc.
