The Preliminary exam of WBCS consists of only one paper. The category-wise WBCS Cut off of Preliminary exam is calculated out of 200 marks. The Cut off of preliminary examination is decided by the examination authority to select candidates for the mains exam. WBCS Cut off 2019 of preliminary exam is not be considered for final selection. The previous years’ WBCS Cut off of preliminary exam are given below.

WBCS Cut off 2019 for Mains Exam
The Main Examination consists of six Compulsory papers and one optional. There will be two papers of optional subject carrying 200 marks each. The compulsory papers will carry 200 marks. WBCS Cut off for Group A and B posts will be calculated based on compulsory and optional papers (1200 of compulsory papers and 400 for optional papers). However, for Group C and D posts it will be determined based on Compulsory papers (out of 1200).
