About Bihar Judicial Service Examination 2020
Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) conducts Bihar Judicial Services exam for Civil Judges Posts. The selection of the candidates for the posts of Civil Judges is done on the basis of prelims, mains examination and interview. Candidates who are between 22 to 35 years and have a degree in law are eligible to apply for Bihar Judicial Services application form. Candidates who will appear for the preliminary exam will be eligible to appear for the mains. Shortlisted candidates in the mains exam will have to appear for the personal interview. BPSC has recently notified a total of 221 vacancies to fill the posts of Judicial services.
Bihar Public Service Commission released the application form of Bihar Judicial Services exam on March 12, 2020 in online mode. Applicants were able to fill the form till September 12, 2020. Candidates who are fulfilling the eligibility should apply for the application form earliest. The last date to pay Bihar Judicial Services application fee was September 05, 2020.

Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released the application form of Bihar Judicial Services on March 12, 2020 in online mode. The application form can be filled in 3 parts. Candidates first have to register for Bihar Judicial services exam after which the link for online payment of application fee was available next day after 11 am. The application fee for general category was Rs. 600 and for the ST/SC PWD/Women category (Bihar) was Rs.150. The link to fill the remaining application was available next day after 11 am. Last date to fill application form is September 12, 2020.
Steps to fill Bihar Judicial Services Examination Application form
The application form of Bihar Judicial Services Examination will be filled in three stages -registration, payment of application fee and filling the application form. Candidates can check the steps given below to fill the application form.
Stage 1 - Registration
- Click on the link to fill the application form of Bihar Judicial Services.
- Click on ‘Online Registration’ and ‘Apply Online’.
- Fill all details required like name, father's name, date of birth etc.
- Click on ‘Submit’ button.
- After the successful registration, the username and password was be sent to candidates’ registered email ID.
Stage 2 – Fee Payment
To pay the application fee, the link will be available next day after registration after 11 am. Candidates have to pay the registration fee online by clicking on the link available.
Stage 3 – Filling of the application form
To proceed to the third stage of filling application form the link will be activated next day of fee payment after 11 am.
- Candidates have to upload photographs and signatures.
- After providing all the details, candidates must check the details entered by clicking on ‘Preview’.
- Click ‘Submit’ and download the application form by clicking on ‘Download filled application.

Bihar Judicial Services Examination Application form for Mains Exam
The candidates who will be declared qualified in the preliminary exam will have to fill the application form to appear for the mains exam. Bihar Judicial Services application form for mains exam can be filled through online mode. After filling the application form candidates have to send their documents along with the offline application form and will have to send the same through speed post to BPSC office.

Bihar Judicial Service Examination 2020 Exam Pattern
Bihar Judicial Service Examination Preliminary Exam Pattern
Bihar Judicial Services Exam is conducted into three stages - preliminary, mains and personality test. As per BPSC the exam pattern of preliminary exam will have two papers - General knowledge and Law. Paper 1 will constitute of General Knowledge including Current Affairs and Elementary General Science. The total marks of Paper 1 will be 100. Paper 2 will be conducted for 150 marks and will constitute of Law of Evidence and Procedure, Constitutional & Administrative Law of India, Hindu Law and Muhammadan Law, Law of Transfer of Property, Principles of Equity, Law of Trusts and Specific Relief, Law of Contracts and Torts and Commercial Law. All the questions asked in paper 1 and 2 exam will be objective multiple type questions.

Bihar Judicial Service Examination Mains Exam Pattern
The mains exam of Bihar Judicial services comprises of compulsory and optional papers. As per the exam pattern the mains exam will have 5 compulsory paper - General Knowledge including Current Affairs, Elementary General Science, General Hindi, General English and Law of Evidence and Procedure. General English and General Hindi will be qualifying in nature and candidates have to score 30 marks out of 100 to get their other papers evaluated.
There will be 5 optional papers where candidates will have to select any 3 papers. The option papers are Constitutional & Administrative Law of India, Hindu law and Muhammadan law, Law of Transfer of Property, Principles of Equity, Law of Trusts and Specific Relief, Law of Contracts and Torts and Commercial Law.

Bihar Judicial Service Examination 2020 Admit Card
Bihar Judicial Service Examination Preliminary Admit Card
The admit card of Bihar Judicial services will be available in three stages - preliminary, mains exams and personal interview. The admit card for preliminary exam will be issued to the candidates who have successfully filled the application form. To download the admit card candidates will have to login with their username and password. Bihar Judicial Services admit card will carry details like roll number,name, category, date of birth, gender, date and time of exam, details of exam centre. Candidates must check the details printed on the admit card carefully. In case candidates find any mistake in the details printed on the admit card, they must immediately inform the examination officials for required correction.
Bihar Judicial Service Examination Mains Admit Card
The mains admit card of Bihar Judicial Services will be issued only to those candidates who will qualify the mains exam. Candidates will have enter the registration id/ login id and password to download the admit card. The admit card will have details like roll number, name, gender, exam centres etc mentioned in the admit card. Candidates have to carry the admit card on the day of examination.

Bihar Judicial Service Examination 2020 Result
Bihar Judicial Service Examination Preliminary Result
The result of Bihar Judicial Services exam is released separately for preliminary, mains and personality test. The result of prelims exam has been declared online. The result will be published in pdf format. The roll number of candidates qualifying the exam is available in the result file. To prepare the result of preliminary exam, BPSC has used the normalisation process where a total of 10 percent of appeared candidates has been selected. The selection of the candidates for mains exam will be done on the basis of marks scored by last recommended candidates.
Bihar Judicial Service Examination Mains Result
The result of mains exam will be released for the candidates who qualify the prelims exam. Candidates appearing for the mains exam have to qualify General Hindi and General English papers and score 30 percent of marks in both papers to be qualify the exam. However, the marks of General Hindi and English will not be added in preparing the merit list.
Final Merit list
Candidates who qualify interview will be eligible for the preparation of final result. The final result of the qualified candidates of Bihar Judicial Services will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in mains exam and interview.
Bihar Judicial Service Examination 2020 Cutoff
The cutoff score of Bihar Judicial Services exam for prelims, mains exam and final cutoff separately. The cutoff of prelims exam will be fixed by the commission. As per notification the cutoff of Bihar Judicial Services for the reserved category will be 5 percent less than the unreserved. Candidates have to score equal or above the cutoff released by the commission. Exam conducting authorities will release the cut off for all the categories separately in pdf file only.

If there is a list of documents mentioned for any counselling or exam then all of the documents are mandatory, if the documents are not mandatory then it would be mentioned in the list like for example if aadhar card driving license and pan card are asked for verification you need not carry all the three but any one for identity confirmation and they will be mentioned with the word or.

Cutoff is not mentioned. The merit list have names of the students who have been shortlisted for the coming rounds.

For interview there is nothing like cutoff. It is performance based and totally depends how you answer the questions and how the evaluators will evaluate you.
