IBPS RRB Exam Pattern 2018 - IBPS is conducting IBPS RRB 2018 preliminary exam at various centres across India on August 11, 12, 18, 19, 25 and September 1, 2018. The online examination will be conducted in two tier – preliminary and mains to recruit candidates for the posts of Officers Scale I and Office Assistant (Multi-purpose). Candidates will be recruited as per marks secured by them in the main exam. The number of candidates provisionally allotted will be on the basis of vacancies available. Applicants qualifying in the prelims for Officers Scale I will be selected for the main exam, qualifying which they will be shortlisted to participate in interview round. Candidates applying for Scale II and Scale III will need to appear for the online examination. Candidate will be selected to appear in subsequent stages of the exam on the basis of marks obtained in the online exam. Shortlisted candidates will be called for common interview. The interview will be organised by Nodal Regional Rural Banks with the aid of NABARD and IBPS.

The prelim exam of IBPS RRB 2018 for the post of Office Assistant (Multi-purpose) and Scale I Officer will include two subjects - reasoning and numerical ability.

  • Candidates can opt for the exam in either Hindi or English.

  • The question paper of IBPS RRB Preliminary exam 2018 will contain 40 questions each from both subjects.

  • There will be total 80 questions in the exam, carrying one mark each

  • The single level exam will include five subjects - reasoning, quantitative ability and data interpretation, financial awareness, language exam (English/Hindi) and computer knowledge

  • Candidates can take the test in either Hindi or English as per preference

  • The question paper of IBPS RRB Single level Exam 2018 contains 200 questions

  • Each question carry one mark. IBPS RRB Single level examination will be held for duration of 2 hours

  • The paper comprises objective type questions

  • Additional 30 minutes will be provided to candidates of Specialist Cadre for supplementary paper titled - Professional Knowledge which comprises 40 questions and is conducted for 40 marks

IBPS RRB 2018 Marking Scheme

The marking scheme is common for all stages of the exams for different posts under IBPS RRB 2018. As per IBPS RRB exam pattern 2018, candidates will be awarded 1 mark for each correct answer while one-fourth marks (0.25 marks) will be deducted for each incorrect response. However, no marks shall be awarded or deducted for unattempted questions.

IBPS RRB Exam 2018 will be conducted online. The preliminary and main exam (for Scale I Officer and Office Assistant) along with the single level exam (for Scale II and Scale III Officers), will have objective type questions. The recruitment of candidates through IBPS RRB exam 2018 is made broadly for two categories of vacancies – Group A Officers (Scale – I, II, III) and Group B Office Assistants (Multi-purpose). The candidates must obtain minimum required marks and above in each test and also in aggregate CWE (Common Written Examination) scores in order to get selected for the next round – Common Interview, which will be conducted by the Nodal Regional Rural Bank and coordinated by NABARD and IBPS in each State and Union Territory.
