WBCS Result 2019 – Public Service Commission, West Bengal will declare WBCS result in three stages – preliminary, mains and final Allotment. The commission will first announce the result of WBCS preliminary exam this will be followed by the declaration of result for mains and final allotment. Based on the result of the preliminary exam, candidates will be selected for mains exam. WBCS result of mains exam will be announced to shortlist candidates for personality test. The final allotment result of WBCS will be declared based on the marks obtained by candidates in mains and personality test. 

WBCS 2019 result for all the stages will be available online in PDF format. The result will display the roll numbers of qualified candidates. West Bengal Civil Service (Exe) etc. The examination is conducted to fill up various Group A, B, C and D posts. Candidates can follow the steps given below to check WBCS result for all the stages.

  • Check your roll number in the PDF file through Ctrl+F

  • Download and save the file 

WBCS Result 2019 for Preliminary Exam

 

WBSC result of preliminary exam will be announced in June 2019. The preliminary exam will consist of a paper on General Studies. The paper will be an objective type test consisting of 200 multiple-choice questions. The total marks allotted for this paper is 200. The preliminary exam of WBCS is only conducted to shortlist candidates for the mains exam. The marks obtained in the preliminary exam will not be considered for final selection. Only candidates who will be declared qualified in the preliminary examination will be eligible for admission to the mains exam. The examination authority will decide qualifying marks for preliminary examination to shortlist candidates for mains exam.

 

How to calculate a score of Preliminary Exam?

  • For a correct answer, candidates will score 1 marks.

  • There is negative marking for each wrong answer. The commission has not specified the negative marks for the wrong answer.

  • The score of candidates will be calculated based on the number of correct answers after deducting a penalty for wrong answers. 

WBCS Result 2019 for Mains Exam

 

The result of WBCS mains exam is likely to be declared in October 2019. The main examination will consist of six compulsory papers and one optional subject comprising of two papers (only for candidates applying for group A and/or B). The two papers of an optional subject will carry 200 marks each. A compulsory or optional paper will carry 200 marks. Based on the WBCS result for mains, candidates will be selected for Personality Test. Marks allotted for the Personality test for Group A & B posts is 200 while it is 150 for Group C posts. The total marks of Personality Test for Group D posts is 100 marks.

 

WBCS Result 2019 for Final Allotment

 

WBCS result for final allotment will be declared in March 2019. The Commission will declare the result for final allotment based on candidate’s performance in mains exam and personality test. WBCS Result 2019 for Final Allotment for Group A and B posts will be calculated out of 1800 marks (1600 marks of mains exam and 200 marks of personality test). The final result for Group C and D will be determined out of 1350 (1200 marks of mains exam and 150 marks for Personality Test) and 1300 (1200 marks of mains exam and 100 marks of Personality Test), receptively. WBCS will release a merit list of candidates based on the marks in mains exam and personality test. The merit list will contain the roll numbers and names of selected candidates. Based on the final result, candidates will be allotted various civil service posts.
