About HP TET 2019

Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education will conduct Teacher’s Eligibility Test for all the candidates who wish to teach in primary and elementary classes. All the candidates must go through the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. The eligibility criteria of HP TET 2019 is based on two factors – age and educational qualification. Candidates who are eligible can apply for various teaching departments – Shastri, Language Teacher, Punjabi, Urdu, JBT, TGT (Non-Medical/Medical/Arts). HP TET exam is conducted in offline mode and the exam pattern is different for each department. Candidates who will qualify HP TET 2019 exam will be awarded the TET eligibility certificate. The certificate will be valid for 7 years and candidates can apply for various teaching posts from class- I to VIII in the schools of Himachal Pradesh.

The eligibility criteria of HP TET is prescribed by the exam conducting body. Candidates must go through the eligibility criteria of HP TET in order to fill the online application form. The eligibility criteria include requirements like age and educational qualification.

Himachal Board of School Education as of now has not set any upper age limit for the candidates.

  • Or, candidates must have one year of Bachelor in Education from a     recognized university of NCTE and Bachelors degree with minimum of 45% marks with Hindi as an elective subject.                

  • Or, must have done Hindi Honours followed by Bachelor’s in Arts          (English and one more subject) with 50% marks from a recognized      university and also one year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)

  • Or, candidates must have scored 50% marks in Bachelors with Hindi as an elective subject and one year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)   

Punjabi                    
  • Candidates  must have scored 50% marks in Bachelors degree along with Punjabi  as an elective subject and one year of Bachelor in Education  (B.Ed.) Special Education

  • Or, candidates must have masters  in Punjabi with minimum of 50%   marks from a recognized University and one year Bachelor in                 Education (B.Ed.)

                   
  • Or, candidates must have Bachelors with Punjabi as an elective         subject and two years Diploma in Elementary Education

Urdu        
  • Candidates must have scored minimum of BA 50% marks in Bachelor’s with Urdu as an elective subject and one year of  Bachelor in                 Education (B.Ed.) Special Education is required

  • Or, candidates with BA degree who have secured 50% marks with Urdu as an elective subject and completed one year of Bachelor in       Education (B.Ed.)

  • Or, Masters with a minimum of 50% marks in Urdu from a recognized  University and also one year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)

  • Or, B.A. with a minimum of 45% marks with Urdu as an elective subject and a year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) in accordance with             the NCTE

  • Or, Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum of  45% marks   and two years Diploma in Elementary Education  in accordance with the NCTE

  • Or, Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum of  50% marks and two years of Diploma in Elementary Education (Special                 Education)

Himachal Board of School education released the HP TET application form in online mode for June session. While entering the basic details candidates must be careful as the details entered in the application form will be used in admit card. Also, candidates must go through the eligibility criteria in order to avoid rejection at any later stage. Before the candidates start filling their HP TET application form, they must keep the following ready with them – email ID, contact number, class 10th certificate, scanned photograph and signature and card details to pay the online fee.

In order to fill the HP TET Application form, candidates must follow these steps:

  •    Step 1 - Filling up of basic details    

Candidates are required to fill in the detail such as name, date of birth, father’s/mother’s name, subject that the candidate wishes to appear, contact number, email ID, category etc.

  •    Step 2 - Uploading photograph  and signature

After filling all the required details, candidates will have to upload their scanned photograph and signature as per the prescribed specifications.

Instructions to upload signature

  • The size of the signature should be less than 15KB
  •  The dimension of the signature must be 3.5 x 1.5 cm
  • The format of the signature  must be in jpg format
  •  Instructions to upload photograph
  • The dimension of the photograph must be 3.5 x 4.5 cm
  • The size of the image must be     less than 20KB
  • Step 3 – Payment of     Application Fee

After completing all the process, candidates will have to pay the application fee of HP TET by using Credit Card/Debit Card or Internet Banking.

  •    Step 4 – Printout of HP TET Application form

Before final submission, candidates must go through the filled application form in order to avoid any error. They need to put a tick mark against the declaration to submit the form. After final submission candidates must take a printout of the filled application form and save it for future reference.

Note: The detail entered in the HP TET Application form can be edited only till the payment of fees. After the payment, candidates will not be able to make any changes.

The HP TET Admit Card will be available in online mode. Candidates who have successfully submitted their application form will only be able to download their admit card. To access HP TET admit card, candidates will have to enter their application number and date of birth in the dd-mm-yyyy format in the login window. The admit card of HP TET will have details such as name, photograph, signature, roll number, the address of examination hall and timings of the exam. Candidates will not be allowed to write the HP TET exam, in case they do not have their admit card. In case of any discrepancies in the admit card, candidates must immediately contact the authorities.

The answer key of HP TET will be released by Himachal Board of School Education after the conduction of exam. Initially, the provisional answer key will be published and candidates can challenge the HP TET answer key in case of any discrepancy. In order to challenge the answer key of HP TET, candidates need to send valid proof to claim their answer in the specified time period. The final answer key will be published only after the authorities have evaluated all the challenged answer key. candidates can check the correct responses to the questions asked in the entrance exam. Based on the correct and incorrect answers, candidates can calculate their probable scores obtained in HP TET.

Himachal Board of School Education will announce the result of HP TET in online mode. Candidates can check their result by entering their credentials- registration/roll number and date of birth/password in the login window. HP TET result will likely to carry the name, roll number, application number, category and total marks.

After the announcement of result, candidates will be awarded TET eligibility certificate which will be valid for 7 years. All the eligible candidates will be able to apply for class I to VIII in the schools of Himachal Pradesh.
