TNTET Exam Pattern 2022 - Teachers Recruitment Board, Tamil Nadu released the TNTET 2022 exam pattern in the TNTET notification 2022 which was published on March 7. The exam pattern of TNTET 2022 contains all the important information regarding papers 1 and 2 of TNTET 2022. Candidates who fill the TNTET application form 2022 must go through the TNTET exam pattern and syllabus of TNTET 2022 and prepare accordingly for the exam.

By going through the TNTET exam pattern 2022, candidates will get familiar with the sections and important topics of the TNTET exam. TNTET 2022 is conducted in 2 papers- paper I for class I-V teachers and paper II for class V-VII teachers. TNTET exam is conducted every year for the recruitment of primary and elementary level teachers in schools across the state of Tamil Nadu. TNTET 2022 Exam Pattern - Levels of Exam

TNTET exam is conducted in 2 levels. Level 1 is for the recruitment of primary (class I-V) level teachers and level II for elementary (class VI-VII ) level teachers. Candidates can apply for either level I or II or both as per TNTET eligibility criteria 2022. According to the TNTET 2022 exam pattern, there will be two papers in TNTET 2022. The exam pattern of TNTET 2022 will be different for both papers.

TNTET Exam Pattern 2022 - Paper I

Paper I of TNTET 2022 will be for the level I (class I-V teachers) exam. There will be 5 sections in paper I- Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, Environmental Studies and Mathematics. Each section will have 30 objective type/multiple-choice based questions (MCQs).

Each question carries 1 mark and there is no negative mark in paper I as per the exam pattern of TNTET 2022. The questions asked in the exam will be based on syllabus of class I-V but the difficulty level of the exam will be up to the secondary level. All sections of the paper I are compulsory to answer. The total time allotted to answer all the sections is 3 hours.

TNTET Exam Pattern 2022 - Paper II

Paper II of TNTET 2022 will be for the level II (class VI-VII teachers) exam. There will be 4 sections in paper II - Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II and Mathematics and Science/Social Science. Candidates who are appearing for the post of Mathematics and Science teachers of class V-VII must answer the mathematics and science sections. Social Studies candidates must answer the social studies section.

Other candidates of TNTET 2022 can answer from any of the two sections. Each section will have 30 objective type/multiple-choice based questions (MCQs). Each question carries 1 mark and there is no negative mark in paper II as per the exam pattern of TNTET 2022. The questions asked in the exam will be based on syllabi of class VI-VII but the difficulty level of the exam will be up to the senior secondary (higher secondary) level.

3. I am appearing in TNTET 2022 for the post of Social Science teacher. DO I have to answer the maths and science section as well?

As per TNTET 2022 exam pattern, candidates who are appearing in the exam for Maths and Science teachers’ posts must answer the Mathematics and Science section and candidates who are appearing for the post of Social Studies teacher must answer the Social Studies section of paper II. There is no upper age limit. As you are a graduate then the criteria for you is-You must hold Graduation degree and have passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). You can fill online application form of TNTET from May 2020. All applicants will be able to fill the application form in online mode till April 2020. You must meet the eligibility criteria before they start filling the TNTET application form.

candidates can apply for TNTET  paper 1 or paper2 or both as per the eligibility.

for TNTET paper1:

  • All the aspiring candidates must have completed and passed 10+2/HSC and also must have a Diploma in Education/Diploma in Elementary Education from a recognized institute

  • Or, candidates who are in final year and appearing for D.E.Ed. can also apply for TNTET 2019. However, during documents verification candidates will have to provide the D.E.Ed certificate or else they will not be eligible to receive the TET eligibility certificate

Yes, it's imperative to do teacher's training program whether it's BEd or DEd for a candidate to be in teaching profession whether it's through CTET or State Level TETs. It doesn't matter whether your degree in discipline of science, commerce, technical, management etc.

Along with being a graduate from a recognized University, BEd or DEd is important.

for paper 1, candidate need to have bed in nursery tearchers training or diploma in elementary education,

for paper 2, candidate need to have a graduation degree in ba/bsc/b.lit degree with the subjects of tamil, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, History and Geography with 10+2+3 pattern from a recognized university.
