FCI Exam Pattern 2019 - Food Corporation of India (FCI) releases the exam pattern of FCI for all the aspring candidates along with its notification. According to FCI exam pattern 2019, the exam will be conducted into two phases followed by skill test (if applicable) and document verification. FCI exam pattern 2019 helps aspirants to understand the mode of the exam, marking scheme, language, total time allotted, type and number of questions, etc. Candidates must go through the FCI exam pattern before starting their preparation to understand it well. FCI recruitment Phase I is conducted in online mode. As per the exam pattern of FCI, there will be three sections carrying 100 questions for 100 marks. For each incorrect answer, one-fourth of the marks will be deducted and each correct answer will be given one mark. Candidates must also know that each section will have sectional duration. In phase II of FCI, there will be different papers for different posts. The exam will be conducted for five papers in online mode. For example, the exam pattern for the post code of A, B, F, G, H and I paper-I will be common whereas paper-III is common for post code D and E. Data Interpretation/Data Analysis/Numerical Ability
This section will be conducted for those candidates who have applied for post code - A, B, G and H. This paper is held for 60 minutes to assess candidate’s technical understanding of their choice of the post they have applied for.
The exam will have 60 multiple choice questions (MCQs) from Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. Each question will carry two marks and one-fourth of the marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
For this post, multiple-choice questions (MCQs) will be based on General Accounting and Finance. There will be 60 MCQs questions conducted for 2 marks each and one-fourth of the marks will be deducted in case of the wrong answer.
The questions will be based on Agriculture, Botany and Zoology for Group-A or Agriculture,Chemistry and Physics for Group-B. In this paper, there will be 60 MCQs and each correct answer will be given two marks whereas one-fourth of the marks will be deducted for the wrong attempt.
This paper is conducted for those candidates who have applied for the Post Code D and E. There will be 120 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) based on General Hindi, General English, General Intelligence, General Awareness, and Computer Knowledge. Each question will be assigned one mark and one-fourth of the marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates will have to complete the paper within 90 minutes.
Candidates who have applied for Post Code D will have to appear for Paper 4. This paper will be of descriptive in nature and will have two questions (2 passages to translate) carrying 60 marks each. Candidates are required to complete the paper in 90 minutes. There will be no negative marking in this paper. Candidates will have to use either Inscript of Remington (GAIL) keywords layout.
Candidates who have applied for Post Code C (Steno. Grade-II) will have to take paper 5. In this paper 120 MCQs will be there based on General English, General Awareness, General Intelligence and Computer Knowledge (with reference to MS Word and Internet). Candidates will be allotted one mark each for the correct answer and one-fourth of the marks will be deducted for wrong answers.
Candidates who have applied for Stenographer Grade II (Post Code C) will have to appear for a skill test in typing and shorthand. The medium of the test will be English whereas candidates who have applied for Typist - Hindi (Post Code E) will have to take skill test in typing in Hindi.
Candidates who have qualified in phase I and II online test and skill test (if applicable) will be called document verification. Candidates three time the number of vacancies will be called for this stage.
FCI Exam Pattern 2019 - Important Points
The exam will be conducted in online mode and the mode of paper will be English and Hindi except for the language papers.
All the questions in phase I and II will be objective in nature except for paper IV which will have two descriptive questions.
There will be negative marking of one-fourth marks in both the phases. However, Phase II, paper IV will not have any negative marking.
A candidates can apply for only one post code within the zone.
In case of discrepancies in question paper, candidates must conduct the exam conducting body withinh 3 days from the date of the exam. After three days no query related to question paper will be entertained.
