The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission declares the result of the UPPSC PCS 2026 exam for every stage separately. Candidates qualified in the prelims UPPSC PCS exam are eligible to appear for the UP PCS mains exam and so on. After the UPPSC PCS interview is over, the Commission releases the final UPPSC result 2026 which is prepared on the basis of the marks secured by candidates in the mains exam and Interview. The stages of UPPSC result 2026 are as follows:
The Commission declares the UP PCS result 2026 for the prelims exam on its official website. UPPSC Prelims result PDF has the roll number of all the qualified candidates who are eligible to appear for the mains. The prelims exam of UPPSC PCS comprises two papers – General Studies papers 1 and 2. Each GS paper is of 200 marks which have to be attempted in 2 hours. And for each incorrect answer, there is ⅓ negative marking on both papers. The UPPSC cut off marks for the preliminary exam are calculated on the basis of GS paper 1, as GS paper 2 is of qualifying nature.
Candidates who qualified for the prelims exam are eligible to appear in the UPPSC PCS 2026 mains exam. The UPPSC mains exam is descriptive in nature i.e. there is no negative marking. It has a total of 8 papers with 1500 marks. The result of the UP PCS mains exam is declared on the basis of candidate's performance in the exam and marks obtained. Based on the main UPPSC result, candidates three times the total number of vacancies are called for the UP PCS interview.
