FCI Syllabus 2019 - Food Corporation of India (FCI) has prescribed the syllabus of FCI 2019 for the post of Junior Engineer (Civil/Engineer/Mechanical), Assistant Grade II, Steno Grade II, Typist (Hindi) and Assistant Grade III General/Accounts/Technical). FCI syllabus contains all the topics from where the questions are expected to be asked. Candidates must go through FCI syllabus 2019 before they start preparing for the examination. By going through the syllabus of FCI 2019, candidates will get a direct to start preparing for the exam. They need not run here and there in search of topics to be studied. The exam for FCI Recruitment 2019 will b conducted for two phases - phase I and II. Phase I exam will be common for all the available posts while phase II will contain V papers based on the post applied by the candidates.
Phase I exam contains question from the following sections:
Phase II exam of FCI is conducted for V papers in which candidates have to appear for only that paper which is applicable for the post applied for. In order to get an idea about which paper to appear for, candidates must also know FCI exam pattern 2019 to know which is explained in the table below:

Building Materials - Physical and Chemical properties building stones, Timber and Wood based Products, cement (Portland), Asbestos products, laminates, bituminous materials, paints, varnishes etc.
Estimating, Costing and Valuation - Estimate, Plastering flexible pavements, Analysis of rates, earthwork, Brick , RCC work shuttering, Painting, Flooring, Tube well, isolates and combined footings, Steel Truss, Piles etc.
Transportation Engineering - Types of pavements, Design of flexible and rigid pavements, bituminous construction, rigid pavement joint, pavement maintenance, pavement materials – aggregates and bitumen, Railway Engineering.
Surveying - Principles of surveying, plane table surveying, theodolite, leveling and contouring, curvature, permanent adjustment of dumpy level, methods of contouring, tachometric survey etc.
Environmental Engineering - Quality of water, purification, distribution, sanitation, sewerage and sewage treatments.
Structural Engineering - Theory of structures, bending moment and shear force diagrams retaining walls, eccentric loads, slope deflection, critical load and columns, torsion etc.
Soil Mechanics - void ratio, porosity, saturation, water content, specific gravity of soil grains and unit weights, grain size, Atterberg’s limits, soil classification, plasticity chart, permeability, consolidation of soils.
Concrete Technology - Latest technology and uses of concrete, water cement ratio, work ability, mix design, placement, compaction, finishing and curing of concrete, quality control of concrete, repair and maintenance of concrete structure etc.
Steel Design - Steel design and construction of steel columns, beams, roof trusses, plate girders.
Construction Management - Construction scheduling Bar Chart, CPM and PERT etc.
RCC Designs - RCC flexural strength, shear strength, bond strength, design of single reinforced beams, retaining walls, water tanks (RCC design questions may be based on both Limit State method and Working Stress method).
Lab tests, bearing capacity of soils, plate load test, moisture content, standard penetration test etc.
