SBI PO 2017 is a computer based test to be conducted in two phases - preliminary and mains. SBI PO 2017 preliminary exam was conducted on April 29, 30 and May 6, 7. Candidates who have qualified in SBI PO 2017 preliminary exam are shortlisted to appear for mains exam which was held on June 4, 2017. Candidates who will qualify the mains will be subsequently called for a Group Discussion (GD) & Interview which will be conducted from July 10, 2017 onwards. The selection of candidates will be done as per the candidates rank in SBI PO 2017 merit list. The result of SBI PO 2017 will be declared by State Bank of India (SBI) in three stages – preliminary, mains and final. The SBI PO 2017 result for preliminary has been declared on May 16 and qualified candidates appear for mains exam. The result of SBI PO 2017 mains exam has been declared on July 3 based on which candidates will be called for group discussion and interview. The SBI PO result 2017 will be declared for only those candidates who will score sectional as well as overall cut off score as per their category in stages of examination.

The cut off score is the minimum marks which must be secured by candidates to become eligible for next round of selection process. SBI PO Admit Card 2017

 

The examination authority releases separate admit card/call letter for pre-exam training, preliminary, main and interview. The pre-exam training call letter for SBI PO 2017 was available from April 7. The preliminary exam admit card of SBI PO 2017 was available from April 10, 2017 for all candidates who had successfully filled the online application form. The SBI PO 2017 admit card for mains was available from May 17, 2017 for those candidates how had qualified the prelims exam. SBI PO Exam Pattern 2017 for Mains – The mains exam will be also conducted in online mode on  for candidates who qualify preliminary exam. The exam will be of 3 hour and online test paper will have 155 multiple choice questions. Each section will have separate timing and candidates have to complete it within the given duration. Descriptive Test: The descriptive test will be conducted along with mains exam. This paper will test the letter and essay writing skills of candidates. The SBI PO 2017 descriptive test will be of 30 minutes duration and carries 50 marks.

SBI PO Career Path:  The candidates selected for SBI PO will be on probation for two years during which they will be given intensive training. Towards the end of their probation/training period, they will be subjected to a screening process. While those Officers who achieve the predetermined standards may be confirmed and given placement in the next higher grade i.e., Officer Middle Management Grade Scale-II, others who qualify in the test but fail to achieve the standards set for placement in Middle Management Grade Scale-II, will be confirmed as Officer Junior Management Grade Scale-I.
