SBI PO Prelims Analysis 2018SBI PO Exam Analysis 2018 -The exam analysis of SBI PO mains 2018 has been released by some coaching institutes like Career Launcher and Bankers Adda, on August 4. The recruitment test for Probationary Officers was held in online mode. SBI PO 2018 exam analysis for mains carry the sectional weightage, marking scheme, overall and sectional difficulty level, etc.

SBI PO Exam Analysis 2018 (Mains) - Data Analysis And Interpretation (Moderate-Difficult)

The level of quantitative aptitude was moderate to difficult. There were 5 sets of DI. However this section was relatively of a do-able level when compared with the English and Reasoning Section. Following are the DI types asked in SBI PO Mains 2018:

  • Bar Graph - yearly expenditure of a person was given

  • Caselet - Time and Work

  • Caselet - Venn Diagram - Data related to an online store was given

SBI PO Exam Analysis (Mains) - English Language (Difficult)

This section packed in a punch for all the aspirants who appeared in this examination. There were many new types of questions. Two reading comprehensions were there in the English Language section among which one passage was of the conventional type, it was based on the theme of an economist's view of differences between innovation and invention. 1 question was based on vocab.

The second reading comprehension was entirely based on a new pattern. 5-6 paragraphs were given marked as Statement A, Statement B and so on..and below the statement marked as bold its explanation was given. There were 9 questions in this passage set and those question were based on identifying grammatically correct phrases, considered as phrase replacement.

A new pattern of cloze test was introduced where a passage was given with 5 blanks and a phrase had to be filled in those blanks. In questions of that cloze test, a phrase was given and candidate had to identify that the given phrase will belong to which blank 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5

The level of reasoning was difficult. There were NO questions of computer aptitude. Following were the questions of puzzles and seating arrangement:

  • Linear Double Line, 10 people seating

  • Circular Arrangement

  • Floors+Buildings based puzzle

  • Blood Relation+Age based puzzle

  • Random Arrangement -3 Variables, Names of persons, their posts and fruits were given

  • Linear Seating Arrangement- 3 Variable, the direction in which the persons were seated was not mentioned.

SBI PO Exam Analysis 2018 (Mains) - General Awareness (Moderate)

This section had 40 questions and the level of the questions asked was moderate. Most of the questions in this section were covering the current affairs and news of June and July Months. As per the review given by student who appeared for this exam there were few or no questions from static and banking awareness.

This section was of 50 marks with a time limit of 30 minutes.

The overall difficulty level of this section was easy to moderate. Most of the questions were from Government Schemes, Banking Awareness, Financial Awareness, Static GK and Current Affairs of last 3-4 months. Current Affairs dominated the section.

1 letter with a choice of 2 topics (Memory based):

  1. You transfer some amount of money to your friend using UPI. Your friend is an account holder of a cooperative bank but the transaction fails as there is no facility of UPI in the cooperative bank. Write a letter to the General Manager of the same bank to add this facility so that customers are benefitted. Also, write some benefits of using UPI.

  2. These days, many vegetables and fruits are injected to keep them fresh for long. This is harmful for our health. Write a letter to the concerned authorities regarding the same.

SBI PO 2018 Score Calculation Method

The marks secured by the candidates in the written test will be converted to 75 out of total 250 marks while the marks secured in Group Exercises & Interview will be converted to 25 out of total 50 marks.

 

SBI PO Answer Key 2018

SBI PO 2018 is conducted online, therefore the official answer key of SBI PO will not be released. Unofficial SBI PO 2018 answer key might be released by coaching institutes. The SBI PO answer key released unofficially may be memory based and can differ from the actual question paper.

 

SBI PO Result 2018

State Bank of India will declare SBI PO 2018 result in three stages – preliminary, mains and group discussion and interview. SBI PO result for prelims was announced on July 15, while the result for mains will be declared on August 20. The final SBI PO result 2018 will be announced on November 1. On the basis of SBI PO result for prelims exam, candidates have to appear in mains and based on their result in mains examination, they will be eligible for group discussion and interview.
