CDS 2018

CDSCDS 2018 – Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct CDS 2 exam on November 18, 2018. The notification for CDS 2 will be released on August 8. CDS 2 application form will be available from August 8 to September 3, 2018. Over 435 vacancies are expected to be announced by UPSC for CDS 2 recruitment exam. To be eligible for CDS 2018 examination candidates must be between 20 to 24 years. Candidates who have completed or appearing in graduation can apply. The exam is conducted in two stages – written exam and SSB Interview. Candidates who will pass the CDS 2018 written test will be called for Services Selection Board (SSB) for Personality cum Psychometric tests and Intelligence Interview. Candidates who will qualify SSB will be called for training programmes as per their merit and preferences for Army, Navy and Air Force jobs. Candidates selected on basis of  written exam and interview undergoes training at Indian Military Academy, Officers’ Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy. CDS Eligibility Criteria 2018

Candidates applying for CDS 2 exam must fulfil the minimum eligibility requirements in terms of educational qualifications, age criteria and marital status. Candidates can check the details about CDS eligibility criteria below.

  • Candidates applying for CDS 2 exam 2018 must be citizen of India

  • Candidates from Nepal, Bhutan and Tibetan refugee, Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam are also eligible but only after subject to fulfilment eligibility criteria as the rule of Government of India

CDS Application Form 2018

The application form of CDS 2 will be released on August 8, 2018. The last date to apply for CDS 2 exam is on September 3, 2018. CDS application fee is Rs 200 for general and OBC category while Female/SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of fee. Candidates can pay the requisite fee through online and offline. CDS application form 2018 can be filled in two parts. In part I, candidates have to register for the exam by submitting basic details. In part II, candidates have to pay the examination fees, upload photograph and signature and select examination centres.

How to apply CDS 2018?

  • The application form of CDS exam is filled in two part - Part 1 and Part 2

  • In part 1, candidates have to fill their basic details like their name, date of birth, father’s name, mother’s name, address, community the candidate belongs to (General, OBC, SC, ST), so that fee remission is claimed, whether he/she belongs to minority, marital status, etc.

  • While filling up the CDS 2018 application form candidates must carefully read clear instructions of every field which are red star (*) marks are mandatory and essential for them

  • In stage 2 of CDS application form, candidates have to upload photograph, select the preferred three centres, pay the requisite application fees, sign the declaration form and click on ‘I Agree’ button to submit the application form

CDS Exam Centres 2018

The exam centres of CDS are released by UPSC. CDS2017 was conducted across 41 cities in India. While applying for CDS exam candidates have to select three CDS exam centres from the drop down options available. CDS exam centres 2018 will be allotted as per first apply first serve basis. Therefore, candidates should apply early to get their preferred exam centres.

CDS Admit Card 2018

The admit card of CDS 2 will be released online in October. Candidates can download CDS 2018 admit card with their registration id, date of birth or roll number. The admit card of CDS 2018 will be available for only those candidates whose application form has been accepted by examination authority. Admit card of CDS exam contains information like registration id, date of birth or roll no. (if received) and date of birth or name, father's name and date of birth available with him/her.

CDS Exam Pattern 2018

CDS will be conducted in pen and paper based mode. According to CDS exam pattern, The exam is conducted session wise both in morning and forenoon session. CDS Syllabus 2018

CDS 2018 syllabus for English Comprehension include the jumbled sentence, fill in the blanks, to check the command over their English grammar. Elementary Mathematics includes topics like arithmetic, mensuration and basic mathematics. The CDS syllabus for General Awareness include topics from history, geography and current affairs. CDS exam is conducted into 2 stages- written and SSB for Personality cum Psychometric tests and Intelligence Interview. Candidates qualifying SSB are called for training programmes as per their merit andpreferences for Army, Navy and Air Force. CDS Question Papers 2018 / Sample Paper

CDS Answer key 2018

The answer key of CDS 2 2018 will be officially released by UPSC. Candidates can download CDS 2018 answer key of all sets of question booklet to check the answers. Different coaching institutions also release the answer key of CDS exam where candidates can check the responses and calculate the marks. The answer key of CDS exam will be released subject wise for all the sets.

 

CDS Result 2018

The result of CDS 2 exam will be declared in December. Candidates who obtain minimum qualifying marks in written exam are called by Service Selection Board (SSB) for psychological aptitude test, intelligence test and interview. After which they are selected and the merit list is prepared by the examination authority based on the total marks secured by candidates.

 

CDS Cut off 2018

The cut off of CDS is released by UPSC. Candidates who secure minimum qualifying marks in the written test conducted by UPSC for CDS exam are eligible for the stage 2 exam. Stage 2 exam include Psychometric tests and Intelligence Interview after which candidates are sent for medical examination. The eligible candidates are sent on training according to the preferences and marks obtained in respective field. CDS Selection Procedure 2018

Candidates qualifying the written test are called for Service Selection Board (SSB) for psychological aptitude test, intelligence test and interview. SSB board evaluates intelligence, personality, compatibility and potential of prospective candidates for recruitment in the Army, Navy and Air Force. SSB interview consists for two stages which is conducted for 4 days- stage 1 comprises of Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests and picture perception where the shortlisted candidates further undergo the second stage of an interview which comprises of Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests and the Conference.
